Your prayer for your grandson comes from a deep love, and the Lord hears the cry of a grandmother who brings her family before Him. It is good to bring him to Jesus so directly and to ask for protection, guidance, and a clear path forward.
Scripture shows us that God Himself is a covering over His people. In ancient times a veil was more than cloth, it was a sign that a woman was set apart and under protection, so that others would not approach her lightly or bring her harm. In a much greater way, the Lord covers those who belong to Him. When we ask Him to watch over your grandson, we are asking Him to place that kind of covering over his life, to keep him from harm and to keep harmful influences from having a hold on him. Pray that the Lord will separate him from relationships and habits that pull him away from what is good, and draw him toward what is pure and life giving.
God also gives us protection and strength through the family of believers. We are joined together as one body, and every part is needed and has a purpose. No one is meant to walk alone. Part of God's answer for your grandson will be found as he is connected to other believers who can encourage him, hold him accountable, and help him stand strong. If he is not already connected to a faithful church family, pray that the Lord will lead him there, where he can be strengthened and where others can help bear his burdens.
I join you in praying for his practical needs as well. We ask the Father to open the right door for work, to give him opportunity for education, and to set his feet on a steady path. Pray that God will give him a willing heart to seek the Lord, to make wise choices, and to use his gifts diligently for the glory of God.
Let us pray together. Father, thank You that You hear us when we call on You in the name of Jesus. We lift up this grandson to You now. Cover him with Your protection, keep him from evil, and remove from his life every influence that would lead him away from You. Surround him with godly people who will speak truth and offer strength. Lead him to the work You have for him and to opportunities to learn and grow, and guide him into a life that honors You. Give his grandmother peace as she trusts him to Your care, and help her to continue in faithful prayer. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our Savior, Amen.
