Glory and credit

Eriydell

Servant of All
I humbly give god all the glory HONOUR and praise I take no credit for any of my accomplishments because it is the lords doing and it is great in my eyes amen

We join you in giving all glory, honor, and praise to our Heavenly Father, for it is truly by His grace and strength that any good thing is accomplished. Your humility before the Lord is a beautiful reflection of His work in your life, and we are encouraged by your recognition that every victory and blessing flows from His hand.

The Word reminds us in 1 Corinthians 1:31 (WEB), "that, according as it is written, 'He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.'"
And in Psalm 115:1 (WEB), "Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give glory, for your loving kindness, and for your truth’s sake."

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from You alone. Lord, we thank You for the accomplishments, the strength, and the favor You have poured out in our lives. Help us to always remember that apart from You, we can do nothing. May our lives be a living testament to Your glory, and may we never seek praise for ourselves but always point others to You. Keep us humble, Lord, and fill us with Your Spirit so that we may walk in obedience and gratitude all our days. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue walking in this spirit of humility and dependence on the Lord. Let your life be a reflection of His love and grace, so that others may see Christ in you. If there are specific areas where you desire to grow in surrender to God’s will, we stand with you in prayer and support. May the Lord continue to guide your steps and use you for His glory!

We smile as we read your words, what a joy to hear a heart so full of gratitude to the Lord! That you humbly give Him all the glory and take no credit for yourself is a beautiful echo of Jesus’ own heart, who came not to be served but to serve. It’s also a powerful witness: when we point to God as the source of every good thing, we invite others to see His goodness and greatness.

This kind of humility isn’t about putting ourselves down; it’s about lifting God up and resting in His love for us. We see in you a living example of what it means to walk in honest awe at what the Lord has done, without false modesty or fear. As you continue to honor God with this attitude, you’ll likely find that this perspective brings deep peace and freedom, freedom from the weight of having to prove yourself, and freedom to simply enjoy His work in your life.

We join you in your prayer of thanks:

Father, we praise You for the work You’re doing in this dear person’s life. Thank You that they see Your hand in their accomplishments and gladly give You all the credit. Guard them from pride, and also from the lie that they must diminish their own worth; help them walk in the humble confidence that comes from knowing they are loved and called by You. May their gratitude be a sweet fragrance before Your throne, and may it draw others to see Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You do well to give Him all the glory, for indeed it is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes. But take heed lest this very resolution become a secret chamber of self-congratulation. The flesh is cunning, and even our renunciation of credit may be twisted into a claim of deeper holiness. No, let us go lower still, until we own that without His grace we could not even give Him glory, and that every right thought is itself a gift from His hand. The creature brings nothing to the altar but what it first received; we are but beggars telling one another where the bread is found.

Remember, it is when we believe that we see the glory of God. Not by striving, nor by straining after humility as a work, but by trusting Jesus Christ alone to utterly save us, and then His glory breaks upon the soul. Then praise becomes not a duty but a necessity, the heart must ring its bells and hang out its streamers, for we have tasted that the Lord is gracious. Yet that same glory which comforts us also humbles us, for it shines forth in sovereign goodness: “I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious.” Left to ourselves, we would have made shipwreck long ago; it is His glory that He has kept us, and that very glory shall be our rereward. All our safety, all our continuance, all our fruitfulness are wrapped up in Himself.

Go on, then, with a holy trembling at His Word. Never let the harp of gratitude lie silent, but never think that your praise can add to the Infinite. He is glorified in building you up, in covering your sin, in making His goodness pass before you, and when you bless Him for it, you are but catching the rays of His own eternal light and reflecting them back to their source. Let the whole earth be filled with His glory; and may your little portion of it, in your daily walk and hidden thoughts, be kept sweet and clean, that the Spirit may dwell there without rival.

A right and holy disposition indeed, to ascribe all to God and take no credit to yourself. For it is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in His eyes. But be on guard, lest the very act of proclaiming your humility become a snare of vainglory. Many there are who outwardly profess to give glory to God, yet inwardly they seek the praise of men, and so their confession is hollow. They love the honor that comes from man more than the honor that comes from God. See, then, that your heart is truly broken and contrite before Him, not puffed up in the sight of others under a cloak of lowliness.

The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit; a humble heart He will not despise. Seek this inner crushing, for it is the sure foundation. When you truly count yourself unworthy, you will not even notice the praise or neglect of men, but will fix your eyes solely on the divine judgment. What does it profit if all men speak well of you? Woe unto you, if that is your consolation. The praises of mortals are fleeting, often mingled with flattery or malice, and they vanish like smoke. But the commendation that comes from heaven is eternal and true. Labor therefore not for the fleeting breath of human approval, but for the incorruptible crown that God gives to the lowly.

Let your life itself become a constant hymn of thanksgiving, not in words only but in deeds. Show your humility by walking in charity, emptying yourself for the poor, and counting others better than yourself. In this, you have God as your debtor, no small glory! For when you give alms, or bear insults meekly, or curb your passions, you are not merely speaking of God’s glory but displaying it. This is the victory over pride. Do not say, “I give God the glory,” and then nurse a secret delight in your own reputation. Rather, be the one who is overlooked, despised, forgotten, then you will shine brightly in the presence of the angels. Fix your hope on that day when the Lord examines not the words of the tongue but the intentions of the heart. Then your glory will abound, not in the mouths of men, but in Christ Jesus Himself, to whom be all might, honor, and praise, now and forever.
