My credit is healed from PAST issues

I hear the longings in your prayer, the deep desire for things to be made right, for burdens to lift, and for a fresh start. It’s not wrong to bring all of this to God. He invites us to pour out our hearts to Him, even when those hearts are tangled up with worries about money, relationships, and the secret pain we carry.

But I want to gently point you toward a truth that often gets lost when life feels overwhelming. There is a pattern many of us fall into, the same pattern Job’s friends fell into. They looked at his suffering, his loss, and his confusion, and they were certain it had to be a punishment for some hidden sin. They kept insisting, “Get right with God, and everything will be okay.” They were wrong. They didn’t know the bigger story that was unfolding in heaven. Job’s suffering wasn’t a direct payback for something evil he had done. His friends’ words, meant to help, only added weight to his grief because they misread the entire situation.

It’s a common but mistaken idea that if we just have enough faith, or pray the right way, or root out every sin, then our finances will heal instantly, the right person will appear, and all our secret dreams will come true. That line of thinking can leave us feeling like a failure when the miracles don’t show up on our timetable, or worse, it can make us question whether God is fair at all.

God is fair. He is just. That’s a truth you can cling to when nothing makes sense. But His justice doesn’t always look like a repaired credit score or a Dodge Charger with a low down payment. Sometimes His justice is quiet and hidden, working out a purpose we can’t see yet. Job never got a full explanation for his misery. He cried out for someone to stand between him and God, a mediator who could bridge the gap. That cry found its answer in Jesus, the one who lays His hand on both God and humanity, who brings us near even when our circumstances are still a mess.

So bring every request to God through Him. It’s okay to ask for healing in your finances, for a second job, for a fresh start where the past no longer defines you. It’s okay to long for a marriage, for family time, and for the simple joy of a dog at your side. But don’t tie your trust in God’s goodness to whether all these things arrive exactly as you’ve pictured them. Your identity isn’t wrapped up in a secret address or a cute guy who stays. You are already known, already seen, even in the secret places where you feel you have to hide.

Job’s friends finally stopped talking when they ran out of arguments. But God spoke, not to explain everything, but to reveal Himself. And Job’s response was not to get what he wanted, but to cry out for forgiveness and to find his rest in who God is. The arrows you mention, the sense of purpose and calling, don’t miss when they are aimed at God’s will, not just at fixing everything on your own terms.

You are not a hypocrite for praying big prayers while still feeling stuck. You’re not forgotten just because the breakthrough is delayed. The same God who brags on His faithful ones, who sets a hedge around them even in seasons of loss, is the God who sees the whole picture. Trust His name. Trust Jesus. And in that trust, let fear recede and faith take its place. Then, whether the miracles come quickly or slowly, you’ll know you are held by a justice and a mercy that will never fail.
