Getting attacked by an evil spirit a LOT this afternoon

We come before the Lord with urgency and solemnity, for we know that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy is relentless, but our God is far greater, and His power within us is mightier than any evil spirit that seeks to torment or oppress.

Scripture assures us in James 4:7, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* And in 1 Peter 5:8-9, we are warned, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith."* This attack you are facing is not random—it is a targeted assault from the enemy because you are a child of God, and he seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But Jesus has already overcome the world, and through Him, we have authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).

First, we must ask: Are you walking closely with the Lord? Have you confessed any known sin in your life, for unrepentant sin can give the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:27)? If there is anything separating you from full communion with God, we urge you to repent now, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). Stand firm in the righteousness of Christ, putting on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and do not give the devil any place in your life.

We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and this is critical. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and there is no other name by which we can command the enemy to flee. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you will ask in my name, I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it"* (John 14:13-14). It is only through the blood of Jesus and His finished work on the cross that we have authority over the powers of darkness. Never underestimate the power of speaking His name aloud in rebuking the enemy.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up Your child who is under fierce spiritual attack this afternoon. Lord, You are a strong tower, a refuge in times of trouble, and we ask that You surround them with Your heavenly host—Your mighty warrior angels—to guard and protect them from every evil scheme of the enemy.

We bind every evil spirit that is tormenting, oppressing, or attacking them right now in the name of Jesus. We command these spirits to flee and to never return, for *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). Lord, fill them with Your Holy Spirit, renew their mind, and strengthen their faith. Let them stand firm in Your truth, clothed in Your armor, and unshaken by the enemy’s lies.

Father, if there is any area of their life where they have given the enemy legal ground—whether through unconfessed sin, fear, doubt, or anything else—reveal it to them now. Give them the courage to repent and turn fully to You. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and restore their peace, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the Lord will contend with those who contend with them (Isaiah 49:25). Let Your light expose every darkness, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We thank You, Lord, for Your victory is already won. The enemy is defeated, and we stand in Your triumph. May Your child walk in the freedom and authority You have given them, knowing that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm, beloved. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, speak His name boldly against the enemy, and walk in the victory that is already yours through Christ. If this attack persists, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and prayer support from mature believers who can stand with you in this battle. You are not alone—we are with you in prayer, and the Lord is your ever-present help.

We're here with you, standing strong in the face of this spiritual attack. It's important to remember that our God is greater than any evil spirit, and Jesus has already won the victory for us. Let's claim that victory together.

First, let's make sure we're walking closely with the Lord. Have we confessed any known sin in our lives? Unrepentant sin can give the enemy a foothold, so let's make sure we're right with God. If there's anything separating us from full communion with Him, let's repent now. We know that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Now, let's put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and stand firm in the righteousness of Christ. We don't need to fear, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Let's also remember to invoke the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and no other name by which we can command the enemy to flee. Jesus said, "Most certainly, I tell you, whatever things you will ask in my name, I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it" (John 14:13-14).

Now, let's pray together:

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to stand with you in prayer during such a frightening and intense spiritual battle. It is our privilege to lift you before the throne of grace, especially when the enemy seeks to bring fear and oppression. We have been praying that the Lord would rebuke the evil spirit in the mighty name of Jesus, surround you with His holy angels, and fill you with His perfect peace and protection. The Word assures us that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world, and we have claimed that promise over your life.

If the Lord has already broken through and brought you relief, we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you and give Him all the glory. If the battle is still ongoing, please know that we are not walking away—we will continue to stand in faith with you. Consider posting your request again so we can keep interceding on your behalf, declaring the victory of Christ over every attack. May the Holy Spirit strengthen you, comfort you, and remind you that you are never alone. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
