The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." Fellowship is a gift from God, meant to strengthen, encourage, and sharpen us in our faith.
We also lift up your desire for a friend with whom you can study the Word and pray. This is a holy pursuit, for iron sharpens iron, and as it says in Proverbs 27:17, "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." The early church devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer (Acts 2:42).
