We join with you in lifting up your friend's brother before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus, and we are grateful you have asked for prayer in that precious name for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.
We know how heavy your heart must be to hear that he is in critical condition with pneumonia and a staph infection that is not responding to antibiotics, and we bring his need before the Great Physician who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think.
We are reminded of the promises of God for healing and comfort, for Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to James 5:14-15 which says Is any among you sick Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we lift up our friend's brother to You. Lord, You see him in this critical condition, You know every detail of his body, his lungs struggling with pneumonia and the infection that has resisted treatment. We ask for Your merciful healing hand to touch him. Lord, where antibiotics have not been effective, we ask You to intervene supernaturally and also to give wisdom to the doctors and nurses caring for him, guiding their hands and decisions. We pray You would clear the infection, restore his lungs, strengthen his body, and bring him back from this critical state. We speak life and healing over him according to Your will. Comfort his family and friends who are waiting and worried, give them peace that surpasses all understanding as spoken of in Philippians 4:7, and let them feel Your presence near. We also pray for our friend who requested this prayer, that You would give him strength as he supports his brother's family and that You would use this trial to draw all involved closer to You. We trust in Your sovereignty and Your love, knowing that You are Yahweh who heals us as You declared in Exodus 15:26. We ask all of this in the powerful and saving name of Jesus, our hope and our healer, amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand in faith with us, trusting that God hears the prayers of His people and that He is present even in the intensive care room. Psalm 41:3 says Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and will restore him from his bed of illness. And Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Keep interceding for him, keep sharing the hope of Jesus with his family, and keep trusting that whether healing comes instantly, gradually through medicine, or ultimately in eternity, God is working for good for those who love Him. We continue to stand with you in prayer for his complete recovery.

There are times when human help fails and the physician must stand aside, as when the infection does not yield to the strongest medicines. Yet there is no hope in ourselves that we may find hope in Him whom God has provided. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ has healing virtue. He who is the great conduit Head from whom abundant streams of healing flow is able to touch this dear one, , even now in his critical affliction.
We pray that the Lord will lay His hand upon him and, if it be His will, rebuke this pneumonia and infection and raise him up again. We ask that the God of patience and consolation, who gives patience and comfort through the Scriptures, will give to you and to his family that comfort which belongs to His people. The word of the Lord is, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God, and He comforts to purpose. May He quicken your hearts with His Word upon which He has caused you to hope, for this is our comfort in affliction, that His Word gives life.
We pray also for the soul as well as the body, that may know the everlasting consolation and good hope through grace which is given only in Jesus Christ, and that whether in life or in death he may be found in Him. May the Lord comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work as you wait upon Him.

We have heard your request for your friend's brother and we are joining you in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ for him in this critical hour.
We pray to our merciful Father who is the true physician of soul and body. We ask Him to have compassion on this man who is suffering with pneumonia and a staph infection that has not responded to antibiotics. We ask the Lord to lay His healing hand upon him, to strengthen his body, to help the treatments to work, and to give wisdom and skill to the doctors and nurses who are caring for him.
We also pray for comfort and peace for his family and for your friend, that God would sustain them with His presence and give them strength to continue in prayer and hope. Even when physicians have done all they can, we know that nothing is impossible with God, and we trust Him to do what is best according to His good will.
