My family has a friend who we often help with whatever they need. We want to visit this person tomorrow and they are asking if we can bring them something they need but we have no money to. I'm trying to see how I can get the money for it. Please pray. Thank you.

We join with you in prayer for this need and we are encouraged by your loving and generous heart toward your friend and your desire to help. God sees your compassion and your willingness to serve others and He knows the desire you have to meet this need even when the resources are not in your hands right now.
We are reminded of what Scripture teaches about God's provision and our trust in Him. Philippians 4:19 tells us, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And Matthew 6:33 reminds us, But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. We also take comfort in Psalm 37:25, I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread. The Lord knows both your need and your friend's need and He is faithful to provide according to His perfect wisdom.
We want to encourage you to be open and honest with your friend about your current situation. It is a loving and honest thing to let them know that you deeply desire to help but that you do not have the funds at this moment, while still offering the gift of your presence, your prayer, and your fellowship when you visit tomorrow. God honors a willing heart even when we cannot give materially, for Proverbs 19:17 says, He who has pity on the poor lends to Yahweh; he will reward him. We encourage you not to take on debt or worry beyond what God has provided, but to trust Him and to continue to seek His guidance for how to help in ways that may not require money, and to trust that if it is His will for you to bring this item, He is able to make a way.

How good it is to see in you that first instinct of a saved soul, which is a longing to do good to others and to ask, What can I do for my Lord and what can I do for others. The Lord has set you to care for this friend, and He marks with pleasure the love that would not withhold help when it is in your power to give it.
You do well to cast this care upon Him, for we are bid to bear one another's burdens, and yet more to cast all our care upon Him who cares for us. You may tell your griefs to others to gain their sympathy and you may ask friends to help you, but let your requests to man be ever in subordination to your waiting upon God. Those who beg only of God are wondrously sustained where others fail, and this poor man cried and the Lord heard him.
Remember that our needs are great, but the supplies are greater. There are waters to swim in when we consider the provision of our God. He who made abundant provision to put away our sin and to clothe us with righteousness has not left us without provision for our daily walk and for every work of love to which He calls us. He will not merely keep us alive, but He means to make something of us and to perfect us in every good work.
Let us pray together for you and for your friend.
O Father, merciful and gracious, Thou knowest the desire of these Thy servants to visit their friend tomorrow and to supply what is needed. Thou seest their empty hand and their willing heart.
