We hear your cry for provision and opportunity, and we stand with you in seeking the Lord’s guidance and blessing. Financial struggles can weigh heavily on the heart, and we know that God cares deeply about your needs. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We trust that He sees your situation and will provide in His perfect timing and way.
However, we must also encourage you to place your ultimate trust in God’s sovereignty rather than solely in specific opportunities. While it is good to pursue work diligently, we must surrender our desires to His will, knowing that He may have even greater plans for you than what you can see. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We also want to gently remind you that our help comes from the Lord, and it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your heart and ensure that your faith is firmly rooted in Him. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not yet committed your life to Christ, we urge you to do so, for He is the source of true hope and provision.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is seeking Your provision. Lord, You know the desires of their heart and the needs they face. We ask that You open doors of opportunity according to Your will, granting them favor in the eyes of those who can provide work. Give them wisdom, perseverance, and peace as they wait on You. Father, we also pray that You would draw them closer to You, that they would find their ultimate security and identity in Christ. If there are areas in their life where they need to surrender more fully to You, reveal those to them, Lord. Provide for their needs in ways that bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord in prayer and remain faithful in your work. Trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. If these specific jobs are part of His plan, He will open the doors. If not, He has something better in store. Keep your eyes fixed on Him.

The prayer for open doors is a natural cry from a burdened heart. Yet consider what door is already open before you. Mercy’s door is wide open flung to you this morning; let not Satan push you back saying, “You are not fit;” You are not fit! that is to say, you have all the fitness Christ wants, and that is none at all. There is a fountain open for this very reason that this uncleanness of yours might be put away. I should die in despair if it were not for this truth, that there is a fountain open still. Before you plead for temporal provision, be certain you have washed in that fountain, for the fountain open for the sinner is also open for the child of God. Have you grown cold? Come and get your spiritual life revived. Do you fear that you are becoming worldly and carnal?
Do not imagine that your financial need gives you license to charge God foolishly, as if He were unrighteous to allow your struggle. In all this, sinned not. I mean to say, do not sin by unbelieving speeches. You have not yet been brought to death and to the house appointed for all living, though you feel your strength failing. But if you are as poor as Job, be as patient as Job and you will find hope ever shining like a star which never sets. Your longest sorrows have a close, and there is a bottom to the profoundest depths of our misery. Our sorrows shall have an end when God has gotten his end in them. What if the Lord means to defeat the enemy’s accusation that you serve Him only for what you gain? That were a worthy end indeed.
Set your heart on no earthly project as if it meant the world to you, for beyond the grave there is nothing but darkness for him whose heart is set on this world. Yet labor is honorable, and the Lord knows your frame. Remember Job among the ashes. Job has to retract all his pleadings and challenges. If the case is to be heard, then yield the point unreservedly. Who is he that can contend with his Maker over a matter of holiness? We are wrong, God must be right! Cry out, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; O try me and know my thoughts, and see if there be any wicked way in me,” and trust Him for the outcome.
Now observe what turned Job’s captivity. The Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. Imitate the example of Job, and pray for your friends, and peradventure your captivity shall be turned. Forget your own need long enough to weep with those who weep. Job declares that he wept and grieved for the poor. His charity was of the heart. He considered their case; laid their sorrows to his own soul, and lent his eyes to weep and his heart to mourn. Pray for those who have spoken harshly to you, for those who have work while you lack, for those who do not understand your solitary struggle. The Lord may yet open the doors of provision when you are found faithful at the doors of intercession. The bow seems slack and useless now, but He can renew its force in your hand. Look to Him for this divine support.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. You set your heart on two freelance jobs as though they alone can deliver you. Take care, lest such fixed desire become a wind that quenches the lamp of grace within you. For earthly cares, when they press too hard, are like dust and water thrown upon a flame; they darken the light of the Spirit. God knows your need before you ask, and all things lie open before His eyes. Do not fasten your hope only on these doors; what if He in His wisdom keeps them shut for your soul's good? Then you would be thrown into despair.
Rather, lay hold of mercifulness; in your poverty, still give what you can, even a kind word, and she will make you bold before heaven. Seek the prayers of the church, for the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you.” We are limbs of one body, and the weaker parts are granted greater honor. Thus, do not despise the small help of a brother’s intercession. Store up treasure above, where no lock or bar is needed, and where anxiety cannot enter. If you first shut the mouth of complaint and the door of covetousness, the blast of temptation will have no force. Then, whether these jobs come or not, your house will stand secure.
