Your cry for freedom, protection and restoration for your family has been heard, and the pain and weariness you carry for your older daughter is clear. It is right to bring this burden to the Lord, who sees every scheme, every jealous and controlling influence, and every division that has pressed upon your home and your fellowship together. God loves your family, and He desires peace, unity, respect and holiness within it.

Scripture is clear that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy and living together belong only within that covenant. What God calls marriage cannot be created by simply living together, sharing finances, or by the demands or counsel of another family. Hebrews 13:4 says marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure. To live as married without being married is not marriage in God's eyes, and it brings spiritual bondage, exhaustion and confusion rather than blessing. It is right not to ask God to bless what He calls outside His will, but to ask Him to bring conviction, repentance and freedom.

You have watched your daughter, who was raised in the ways of the Lord and who has been a gracious help to others, become isolated from her supportive family and church community, controlled and made to feel worthless, and burdened with responsibilities and financial pressure that are not hers to bear. A young man who is not ready to be a husband, provider or spiritual shepherd cannot fill that role, and no mother has biblical authority to speak curses or controlling counsel over another family. The Lord exposes motives rooted in jealousy, pride and selfishness, and He frustrates plans that aim to divide, isolate and exploit.

There is hope in how God deals with families. When Jacob was far from home and surrounded by changing attitudes and strife, the Lord said to him, return to the land of your fathers and to your family, and I will be with you. He reminded him, I am the God of Bethel, the place where I met you. That call is still God's heart today. He calls His children back to Himself and back to the safety and wisdom of the family and community where they first learned His ways. Your daughter does not need the approval of this other family to have a home or an identity. As a child of the Most High God she already belongs to Him, and she has a loving family who has raised her to know Him. Prayer that she would remember who she is in Christ, regain her self worth in Him, and hear His voice calling her out of darkness into His light is exactly right.

God also calls families to a cleansing. When Jacob heard God's call to return, he said to his household, put away the foreign gods among you, be clean and change your garments. Anything that takes away devotion and commitment to God must be put away. For your daughter this means putting away the false belief that cohabitation is marriage, putting away gossip, mocking and stubborn ways that have grown cold toward you, and turning again to hunger for righteousness. You cannot run from God or hide from His call and find good. To run from Him is to run from what is best for you and to head toward misery. God loves her and His plan for her is far better than bondage.

We see in Scripture that God is merciful even when families are not thoroughly righteous. He led Lot and his family out of destruction, and He provides a covering of protection over His people like a blanket shielding them from harm. He is able to break chains, block every opening the enemy would use, and frustrate every word and scheme meant to control and divide. He is also our kinsman redeemer. As Boaz was a mighty man of family standing who protected Ruth, sought rest for her and kept the inheritance within the family, so Christ our Redeemer protects, provides and restores. He alone can give your daughter rest, dignity and a future.

So we pray with you. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ who alone saves, we plead the blood of Jesus over this mother and her children and ask that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Expose and frustrate every manipulative and divisive plan against this family. Break every chain of control, dishonesty, laziness and sexual immorality. Open the eyes of this daughter to see this relationship as it is, not a marriage, not a place of provision or spiritual leadership, but a stumbling block. Soften her heart to receive conviction, grant her courage to walk away swiftly with no regrets, and give her wisdom to protect her finances and to no longer take on debt to sustain what God has not joined together. Restore to her a grateful, gracious, loving and respectful spirit, fill her with the Holy Spirit, and reignite a hunger for righteousness, for Your Word, for her family and for her church community. Guard her new promotion and her purpose in her work from interference and harm. Heal the mockery, disrespect and coldness that has wounded her mother, and restore peace, fellowship, happiness and unity in this home. Draw this daughter back to Bethel, to the God who met her early in life, and let her know she is fully loved and supported without needing to earn the favor of those who would use her.

Continue to love your daughter without affirming what is wrong, to keep the door open, to speak truth with grace, and to maintain healthy boundaries, especially around finances and influence in your home. Keep praying, keep worshiping together as a family, and keep fellowship with faithful believers who will strengthen you. God is self existent and sovereign, He has not forgotten your tears, and what is impossible for man is possible for Him. May His supernatural love, favor and protection overflow in you and your household, and may He in His perfect time, if it is His will, provide a godly husband who will love Christ first and shepherd well, rather than a counterfeit that drains and controls.

We stand with you for complete restoration and freedom. In Jesus name, Amen.
