Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.

Please pray that, in the name of Jesus, the landlord recognises his true identity in Christ, and that his eyes are opened to the false identity that man adopts when he strays from God's narrow path and follows his own desires.

We join you in praying for your former landlord in the mighty name of Jesus, and we thank you for bringing this request before the Lord with such faith and love for his soul.

We are moved by the verse you have chosen, for it contains the very heart of the gospel. Luke 9:24 says, For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it. This is the great exchange that Jesus offers to every person, that we would surrender our own way, our own desires and our own control, and in return receive eternal life in Him. We pray that your former landlord will come to understand this truth not just in his mind but deep in his heart, that clinging to his own life will lead to losing it, but surrendering it fully to Jesus will save it forever.

We also lift up the rented apartment situation you mentioned. We agree with you that Jesus reigns over all darkness, and that His light expels all darkness. John 8:12 tells us, I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life. And Colossians 1:13 reminds us that He delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love. We declare with you that no one can withstand His mighty power, and we ask for His mercy and grace to flood that situation and to bring healing and victory where there has been strife.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this former landlord to You. Lord, we ask that You would open his eyes and soften his heart to receive Your gospel. Help him to lose his life for Your sake, to lay down his pride and his own plans, and to give his life fully to our Lord Jesus so that he will be saved. We pray that You will draw him by Your Holy Spirit and grant him repentance and faith to believe that Jesus died for his sins and rose again.

Lord, we pray that he may hear Your voice concerning Your holy plan for his life. Your Word says in John 10:27, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. We ask that You would quiet every other voice and every distraction, and that he would clearly hear Your call and follow You in obedience. Lead him away from the broad way and onto the narrow path that leads to life, as Matthew 7:14 teaches.

We pray also, Father, that in the name of Jesus he would recognize his true identity in Christ. We pray that the eyes of his heart would be enlightened, that he may know what is the hope of Your calling as Ephesians 1:18 says. Open his eyes to see the false identity that comes when a man strays from Your narrow path and follows his own desires, and reveal to him that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old things have passed away and all things have become new as 2 Corinthians 5:17 promises. Let him find who he truly is, not in himself or in this world, but in Christ alone.

We thank You, Lord, for Your love and faithfulness that never fails. We thank You that You desire all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth as 1 Timothy 2:4 declares. Continue to give the one who prayed this request a heart of intercession and forgiveness, and let Your light and power be seen by all involved, that everyone will see Your greatness and give You glory. We ask all of this with confidence in the victorious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Thank you for caring enough about your former landlord to bring him to Jesus in prayer. It says a lot about your heart that even after the stress of a rented apartment situation you want grace and new life for him rather than holding onto frustration.

We hear your longing that he would hear God's leading for his life and discover who he truly is in Christ. So much of what pulls us off course comes from building an identity on our own desires or accomplishments, which never holds steady. What we have found is that when someone begins to see themselves as God sees them, beloved and made for Him, that steadiness can reshape how they make choices and treat others.

A simple next step that may help you is to keep your prayers for him brief and consistent, perhaps once a day by name, asking for openness to Jesus and clarity about his next steps, and leaving the timing in God's hands. It can also free your own heart to release any remaining hurt from the tenancy to the Lord as you pray.

Father we lift this man to You. You know his life and his needs. Draw him to Jesus, open his eyes to Your love and truth, and help him hear Your voice and follow Your good plan for him. Give our friend peace as he continues to pray and trusts You with the outcome. In Jesus name amen.

We join with you in earnest prayer for your former landlord, and we thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord according to His Word.

The Scripture you have laid hold of is a solemn and gracious truth. Our Lord Jesus said, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. There is no saving of the soul by holding fast to self, but only by losing ourselves in Christ. As we have often taught, wherever our eyes spiritually light upon the Christ of God, there we see God's salvation. If a man simply looks to Jesus and wholly trusts himself in the hands of Christ, his eyes have seen God's salvation, for no salvation will ever serve his turn but one which is Divine from top to bottom, God's in the beginning, God's in the carrying on and God's in the concluding.

We therefore pray with you in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and the Father will never save a man apart from Christ.

Let us pray together.

O Lord Jesus Christ, You reign over all darkness and Your light expels all darkness. We ask in Your mighty name that You would have mercy upon this former landlord. Grant him repentance and faith, that he may lose his life for Your sake and so save it. Open the eyes of his spirit to see You as God's salvation, to look to You and live. We ask also that by Your Spirit You would show him his true identity in Christ, as one created and redeemed to know You, and that You would uncover to him the false and empty identity which man adopts when he strays from You to follow his own desires. Convict him of the reality of his sin and the greater reality of Your atonement, that he may know the truth of Your salvation not as a notion but as a great reality operating powerfully upon his soul. You are Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever, and as You have been mighty to save others, we ask that You would be mighty to save him.

We leave him in Your faithful hands, trusting Your love and power which none can withstand, and praying that all who hear of this work may see Your greatness. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ Himself, our only hope and joy. Amen.

We join with you in prayer before our Lord Jesus Christ for your former landlord, and we thank you for bringing this burden to the church.

We pray in Jesus name according to His word in Luke 9:24, that this man will hear the call to lose his life for Christ so that he may truly save it. We ask the Father to draw him to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for now after His coming there is no other way to be saved except to know and confess Christ. May the light of Christ expel all darkness from his heart and bring him out from under the power of unclean spirits and into the kingdom of the Son.

We pray that the Lord in His mercy will open his eyes to see his true identity in Christ, and to turn from the false identity that comes when a person leaves the narrow path and follows his own desires. We ask that he will hear God's voice and understand God's holy plan for his life, and that he will respond with repentance and faith.
