Former landlord

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

Please also pray that he can hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life

Please pray that, in the name of Jesus, the landlord recognises his true identity in Christ, and that his eyes are opened to the false identity that man adopts when he strays from God's narrow path and follows his own desires.

We join you in praying for your former landlord and we agree with you on the truth of Luke 9:24, For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it.

We love your heart for this man, that you desire not vindication over a rented apartment situation but his eternal salvation. That is the heart of Christ, who desires that all people would be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth as we read in 1 Timothy 2:4. To lose our life for Jesus does not mean we cease to live, it means we surrender our own will, our pride, our self-directed desires, and we trust Him fully as Lord and Savior. Many try to build an identity on what they own, what they control, or what they achieve, but that false identity fades and leads to loss. Only when we are found in Christ do we discover who we truly are.

We pray together now for him.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this former landlord to Your throne of grace. We ask that You draw him by Your Holy Spirit and open the eyes of his heart. Lord, cause him to hear Your voice and to turn from the broad way that leads to destruction and to enter the narrow gate that leads to life, for How narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it. Matthew 7:14. We pray that he will surrender his life to You completely, that he will confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, and so be saved according to Romans 10:9.

Lord Jesus, You reign over all darkness and Your light expels all darkness. You said I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life. John 8:12. We declare Your victory and Your lordship over this past rental situation and over this man's life. We ask for Your mercy and grace to guide him, to heal any hardness or woundedness in his heart, and to lead him into Your holy plan for his life. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10.

We pray that he will recognize his true identity in Christ, that if he is in Christ he will become a new creation where the old things have passed away and all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17. Open his eyes to see the emptiness of the false identity that comes when we stray from Your narrow path and follow our own desires, and show him the fullness, forgiveness, and purpose that is found only in You. We pray he will become one of Your sheep who hear Your voice, for You have promised My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27. Give him ears to hear and a heart to follow.

We thank You for Your great power that no one can withstand, and even more for Your love and faithfulness that pursues each soul. We trust You to continue working in this man's life and we ask that You also give peace and encouragement to the one who has prayed so faithfully for him. May Your will be done in both lives for Your glory.

We ask all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, for There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer for your former landlord and the care you have for his soul. Wanting to see him come to know Jesus and find his true life in Him is a beautiful reflection of Christ's love, and we join you in bringing him before the Father.

It is encouraging that you are asking not just for circumstances around the apartment to be resolved, but for his heart to be open to hear God and to discover who he is in Christ. A life built on our own desires can feel unsteady, but an identity rooted in Christ gives a firm place to stand, no matter what is happening around us.

We will keep praying with you for him, that the Lord would draw near to him, soften his heart, and give him clarity to seek Jesus. As you continue to intercede, it can help to keep lifting him by name before the Lord and to trust God's timing and work, even when we cannot see it yet. Your faithful, gracious posture toward him, even after the rental relationship has ended, is itself a quiet witness.

Father, we lift this landlord to You and ask for Your mercy on his life. Draw him to Jesus, open his eyes to Your truth, and help him hear Your voice and find his true identity in Christ. Work in his journey according to Your holy will and bring him into saving faith. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We join you in prayer before the throne of grace for the soul of this former landlord, and we count it a good and Christlike burden that you would plead for his eternal welfare.

Our Lord has said, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. There is a great losing which is the truest saving, and a great saving of self which is the surest losing. While a man seeks to keep his life in his own hands, to live unto himself and follow his own desires, he walks in darkness and loses all. But when by grace he yields himself wholly into the hands of Christ, to be Christ's servant and Christ's own, then his eyes have seen God's salvation, for salvation must be God's in the beginning, God's in the carrying on and God's in the concluding, Divine from top to bottom. Wherever our eyes spiritually light upon the Christ of God, there we see God's salvation.

We pray therefore in the name of Jesus Christ, the only Saviour, that this man may be delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God's dear Son. We ask the Lord who reigns over the darkness, whose light expels all darkness, to open his eyes to see his lost condition, to show him his true sinnership that he may know the truth of Christ's atonement, and to grant him a real work of grace which shall change his character and prove itself true in his life. May the blood of Christ, which speaks better things than that of Abel, speak to his conscience and bid him look away to Calvary and live. May he hear that voice which says, Sinner, believe on Christ and you are saved, and may he wholly and entirely trust himself in the hands of Christ.

We pray also that he may hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life. For God speaks once, yea twice, yet man perceives it not, but He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction, that He may withdraw man from his purpose and hide pride from man. We ask that the Lord will graciously open this man's ear, that he may no longer be deaf to the call of the gospel, but may hear and live.

And we plead that in the name of Jesus his eyes may be opened to know his true identity in Christ, and to see the false identity which man adopts when he strays from God's narrow path and follows his own desires. Apart from Christ a man knows not himself, for he is blinded by the concealing and depressing power of darkness. But in Christ there is a new creation, a robe of righteousness wrought by His active obedience, and a blessed standing as a child of God. Oh that this landlord might lose his life for Christ's sake, that he might indeed save it, and find himself not in his own wayward will but in Him who is our life.

We leave this soul with Him who has found a ransom in Himself, even His own dear Son given to bleed and die for mortal men. May the Lord in mercy grant repentance and faith, and may you be encouraged as you continue to intercede, for the Lord is good and His mercy endures forever, and He will do all for His own glory.

We thank God for your love and faithfulness in prayer, and we ask all these mercies in the precious name of Jesus our Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
