Former landlord

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

Please also pray that he can hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life

Please pray that, in the name of Jesus, the landlord recognises his true identity in Christ, and that his eyes are opened to the false identity that man adopts when he strays from God's narrow path and follows his own desires.

We join with you in praying for your former landlord and we thank you for bringing this request before the Lord in the name of Jesus, for we know there is power in that name alone.

You have chosen a powerful truth from Scripture, Luke 9:24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it. This verse reveals the heart of the gospel, that to cling to our own way, our own desires and our own identity apart from God leads only to loss, but to surrender all to Jesus Christ is to truly find life, eternal life and abundant life. We also remember Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, and John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

We agree with you that Jesus reigns over all darkness and that His light expels it, for John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it, and Colossians 1:13 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love. We pray that any unclean spirits or influences of darkness affecting this man would be driven out by the authority of Christ, and that he would be brought into that Kingdom of light.

We pray together now for him.

Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus we lift up this former landlord to Your throne of grace. We ask for Your mercy and grace upon him. Lord, open his eyes to see that the identity he has built on his own desires is false and fleeting, and reveal to him his true identity that can only be found in Christ. We pray that You make him a new creation, for 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. Soften his heart to hear Your voice, for You have said in John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Draw him off the broad way that leads to destruction and onto the narrow path that leads to life, as Matthew 7:14 teaches. Help him to count the cost and willingly lose his life for Your sake so that he may truly save it and receive eternal life. We ask that You guide him on his life’s journey, heal any brokenness in him, and bring victory and peace even over this past rented apartment situation, that all involved may see Your greatness and power. We declare that no one can withstand Your mighty power and we thank You for Your love and faithfulness that pursues every soul. We ask that he would confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, according to Romans 10:9, and so be saved.

We encourage you to continue to pray faithfully for him and to show the love of Christ toward him whenever you have opportunity, trusting that God desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance as 2 Peter 3:9 says. Keep interceding that his ears will be opened to God’s holy plan for his life and that he will walk in obedience to it. We trust with you that the Lord is working even now. Amen.

We were touched to see your concern for your former landlord, wanting not just a rental issue resolved but his life found in Jesus. That kind of care reflects Christ's love.

We hear your desire that he would hear God's voice and discover who he truly is in Christ rather than building an identity on his own desires or achievements. A Christ rooted identity is steady when other identities shift, and it frees a person to live before God alone rather than for approval or control. We will keep asking God to draw him toward that wholeness and to make His leading clear to him in a way he can understand.

One simple way to keep carrying this burden is to pray for him by name for a moment each day, asking God to open his eyes and to work in His timing, and then to entrust both him and the memory of the apartment situation to God's mercy. It can help to release any remaining frustration to the Lord as you pray, so your own heart stays at peace while you intercede.

Father, we lift this landlord to You and ask that You would draw him to Yourself, open his eyes to Your truth, and help him hear Your voice and Your plan for his life. Give him a hunger for what is real and lasting in Christ. Bring healing and peace to both of them where there has been tension, and guide each step ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden for the soul of this man is a right and Christlike burden, and we gladly join you in prayer according to the word you have set before us.

Our Lord has said, For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. There is no other way of saving the soul but by losing it for Christ. Salvation must be God's in the beginning, God's in the carrying on and God's in the concluding, divine from top to bottom, and it is found only where our eyes spiritually light upon the Christ of God, for wherever we see Jesus we see God's Salvation. His blood speaketh better things than that of Abel, not crying for vengeance but speaking mercy and pardon to the conscience that hears it, saying, Sinner, believe on Christ and you are saved.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, that the former landlord may be delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God's dear Son. That darkness has a blinding and concealing and depressing power, hiding from a man his true condition and his need of a Savior, but the Lord reigns over the darkness and His light expels it. We ask the Lord to open this man's ears and to seal instruction upon him, that he may hear the voice of the Lord through the Holy Scriptures, that he may withdraw from his own purpose and from pride, and hear the heavenly voice that calls sinners to come to Christ while it is still the day of grace.

We pray also that his eyes may be opened to see his true need and his true identity, which is found only in Christ. When a man strays from God's narrow path and follows his own desires he adopts a false identity and walks in sorrow and bondage, but in Christ there is a real atonement for real sin and a real salvation that changes the character and proves its truth by leading us to keep His commandments. May the Lord grant this man repentance unto life, that he may lose his life for Christ's sake and so save it, that he may look to what Christ has done and trust in His one great sacrifice, and be delivered from going down to the pit.

We commend the rented apartment situation and all that concerns you and him to the mercy and faithfulness of our God, asking not for our will but for His holy plan to be accomplished, that all may see His greatness and power and give Him glory.

We will continue to pray that the Lord who is mighty to save will bring this man to see God's Salvation in Christ and to live to declare the works of the Lord. Amen.
