We join you in praying for your former landlord, and we agree with the truth you have lifted up from Luke 9:24. Jesus taught that trying to hold onto our own life and our own way will cause us to lose it, but surrendering our life to Him is the way to truly save it.

The name of Jesus itself means the Lord is salvation, for He came to save His people from their sins. To confess Him now as Lord and to believe in the heart that God raised Him from the dead is to receive salvation and eternal life. Scripture teaches that one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord, but that future confession will not bring salvation. It will only be the acknowledgment that rejecting Him was wrong. That is why the present moment matters so much.

Salvation is entirely by the grace of God. That grace which brings salvation has appeared to all people, yet it must be received. It is not something we earn by works. We cannot add anything to what Christ has already finished for us on the cross. Our acceptance before God rests completely on His work, and the faith to believe it is itself His gift. When Paul writes to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, he is not telling us to work for our salvation. He is urging us to live out with reverence what God has already worked within us. We are His workmanship, His poem, made beautiful by grace.

This great salvation is open to everyone. Whosoever will may come and drink of the water of life freely. It reaches the lowest sinner and it is more than forgiveness alone, it is the promise of eternal glory with Christ, who is the captain and originator of our salvation. And it is very near. It is not far off in heaven that someone must go and bring it down. It is as close as your mouth, as close as a breath, to confess, I am a sinner, and to believe that Jesus is the Son of God whom God raised from the dead.

For that reason now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. Our eternal destiny is at stake, and we should not put off receiving what God offers today. He alone is our rock and our salvation, our defense and our refuge, and those who trust Him will not be moved.

We pray together for this man:

Lord Jesus, You reign over all darkness and Your light drives it away. We ask for Your mercy and grace upon this former landlord. By Your Holy Spirit, open his ears to hear Your voice and open his heart to understand Your holy plan for his life. Help him to see his need, to confess his sin, and to believe that You died for him and rose again. Draw him to surrender his life to You now while there is time, so that in losing his life for Your sake he may truly save it. Let him know You as his rock, his salvation, and his glory, and bring him into the greatness of Your power and love. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your former landlord.

We have continued to bring him before the Lord and we are still standing with you in prayer that he will hear Gods voice and surrender his life to our Lord Jesus so that he will not lose it, just as you shared from Luke 9:24. We have been praying that the Lord who reigns over the darkness will let His light expel all darkness and every unclean spirit from those affected by it, and that He will declare victory over this rented apartment situation.

We join you in asking for the Lords healing power and mercy and grace to guide your former landlord on his lifes journey and to reveal His holy plan for his life. We pray that he will hear Gods voice clearly and that everyone involved will see the greatness and power of Jesus, for no one can withstand His mighty power. We thank God for His love and faithfulness toward you and toward your former landlord and we pray that the Lord will draw him to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, for there is no other way to the Father.

We pray in Jesus Name that God will soften his heart and open his eyes to the truth of the gospel and that he will choose to lose his life for Jesus so that he may truly save it. Amen.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
