Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.

We join you in lifting up your former landlord before the throne of grace and we thank you for standing in the gap for his soul, for this is the heart of our Father who desires that none should perish.

You have chosen a powerful and eternal truth to pray upon. Luke 9:24 says For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it. This verse reveals the great exchange of the gospel, that clinging to our own way, our own control and our own self righteousness leads to loss, but surrendering all to Jesus leads to true and everlasting life. To lose our life for His sake is not to lose joy but to find it, for in surrender we find forgiveness, new birth and purpose.

We also rejoice that you have come in the name of Jesus, for there is no other way to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is only through faith in Him that any of us can be saved and hear His voice.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus we come before You and we lift up this former landlord to You. Lord, You reign over all darkness and Your light expels all darkness. Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life. John 8:12. We ask that Your light would shine into his heart and that every shadow and every unclean influence would flee at the name of Jesus.

Lord, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation in Your name, not by our power but by Yours, and we ask for Your mercy and grace to rest upon this man. We pray that You would soften his heart and give him a new heart as You have promised, that You would take away the stony heart and give a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26. Draw him to Yourself with loving kindness and grant him repentance.

We pray that he will hear Your voice concerning Your holy plan for his life. Your Word says My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27. Open his ears to hear You, open his eyes to see Your greatness and Your power, for truly no one can withstand Your mighty hand. We pray that he would confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that he will be saved. Romans 10:9. May he lose his life for Your sake, Lord Jesus, so that he will truly save it for eternity.

We thank You for Your love and faithfulness that endures forever and for Your patience, for You are not slow concerning Your promise, but are patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9. We trust You to continue to work in his life and in this situation for Your glory.

We encourage you to continue to pray faithfully for him and to walk in forgiveness and peace regarding the apartment matter, trusting that God is both just and merciful. Continue to let your light shine before him so he may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16. We stand with you in faith believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

Thank you for lifting your former landlord to the Lord in this way. It says a lot that even after the stress of a rental situation you are asking for his good, that he would come to know Jesus and find life in Him.

We are praying with you for him, that the Lord would draw him gently and that he would have ears to hear God's leading for his life. We know you cannot make that choice for him, but your prayers matter and God hears them. He is the one who brings wholeness and new life as people turn to Him in faith.

A simple next step that may help is to keep bringing him by name before the Lord in your regular prayers, even briefly, and entrusting the outcome to God's timing and mercy. If you do have any further contact with him, continuing to respond with the kindness and peace you have in Christ can quietly reflect the hope you are praying he will find.

We also pray for you as you release this situation to the Lord, that you would know His peace and guidance as you move forward.

Father, we bring this landlord before You and ask for Your mercy in his life. Draw him to Yourself through Jesus and open his heart to hear Your voice and follow Your plan. Work in his journey in the way only You can, and give our friend peace as he trusts You with this. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We join you in bringing this former landlord before the throne of grace, and we count it a good and right burden that you would desire his salvation above all else.

The word you have laid hold upon is most solemn and most gracious. Our Lord Jesus said, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. There is no other way to save the soul but to lose it for Christ's sake, to come unto God by Jesus Christ and to surrender at discretion to His mercy and His rule. Submission to His divine will is the essence of salvation, and while men stand afar off asking what have they to do with Jesus, the joy is to be drawn near to Him through faith and to be found clothed and in our right mind at His feet.

We pray with you that the Holy Spirit will graciously draw this man to the Saviour, that he may no longer turn away but run to His open arms. May he hear the voice that still says, Him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out, and may he come as a sinner to be saved by grace alone, through faith in Christ alone. We ask that every darkness be dispelled by the light of Christ, that any hardness or resistance be broken, and that he would lose his life for Jesus in true repentance and faith, so that he might truly save it and not be ashamed in that day when faith shall become sight.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank You that Jesus died and rose again and ever lives to save to the uttermost those who come unto God by Him. We lift this landlord to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. Have mercy upon him and grant him the gift of repentance and saving faith. Open his ears to hear Your voice and his heart to know Your holy plan for his life, which is salvation in Christ and life eternal in Him. Bring him down from any proud pretension and enable him simply to trust the Lord Jesus and be saved. Guide him in Your providence concerning this rented apartment matter and all the affairs of his life, and make him willing to do what You command because You command it. We ask this not for our sake but for the glory of Jesus, in whose mighty name we pray. Amen.

We join you in prayer for this man and thank you for bringing his need before the Lord in love.

The word you have chosen is true and serious. Our Lord said, whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Him will save it. As it has been taught, He set salvation on one side and destruction on the other, to show that the difference between saving your life for yourself and saving it in Christ is as great as the difference between destruction and salvation itself. For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul. There is no greater loss than that, and no greater gain than to belong to Christ.

We pray with you in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved, and salvation is near to all who call upon Him with faith. For if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. This is the short and sure way of salvation that God has given.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of your Son Jesus Christ, who reigns over all darkness and whose light no darkness can overcome. We ask for your mercy and grace upon this former landlord. Open his eyes to see his need, soften his heart to hear your voice, and grant him repentance and faith so that he will turn from living for himself and give his life to Jesus.
