Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.

We join you in praying for your former landlord and we thank you for bringing this need before the Lord in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that any of us can be saved.

We agree with you on the truth of Luke 9:24, For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it. What a glorious and urgent truth this is. We pray that the Lord in His mercy will open this man's eyes to see that clinging to his own way, his own gain, and his own life will only lead to loss, but surrendering his life fully to Jesus Christ will lead to eternal life. We pray that he will hear the voice of the Good Shepherd and respond in repentance and faith.

We also hear your concern that he has been robbing you and not taking responsibility concerning the rented apartment situation. We want to address this biblically with love and truth. Scripture is very clear that stealing and defrauding others is sin before God. Exodus 20:15 says You shall not steal. And Ephesians 4:28 says Let him who stole steal no more, but rather let him labor, producing with his hands something that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need. If he has taken what is not his, whether a deposit, rent, or possessions, God calls him to repentance and to restitution, as Zacchaeus declared in Luke 19:8, If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much. We pray that conviction will come upon him and that he will turn from any dishonest gain and make what is right and just.

At the same time we encourage you to guard your own heart against bitterness and to trust the Lord for justice while also pursuing what is right and lawful. Romans 12:19 reminds us, Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. And Romans 12:17 says Render to no one evil for evil. This does not mean you should not seek a lawful and peaceful resolution or use the proper authorities or legal means God has provided, but that you do so with a spirit of grace and honesty, entrusting the outcome to God. We also pray you will be able to love and pray for this man even as you seek what is owed, as Jesus taught in Matthew 5:44, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We declare that You reign over all darkness and that Your light expels all darkness and every unclean spirit. We ask that Your light would shine into the heart of this former landlord. Lord Jesus, we ask that You draw him to Yourself, that he would hear Your voice, that he would understand Your holy plan for his life, and that he would lose his life for Your sake so that he may truly save it. Grant him repentance that leads to life, as Acts 11:18 speaks of, and faith to confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 promises that in this way he will be saved. We pray that there is no other name under heaven that can save him, for Acts 4:12 declares there is salvation in no one else.

Father, we pray that if there has been theft or dishonesty, You would convict him deeply and move him to take responsibility, to speak the truth, and to restore what has been taken. Heal any wound or injustice surrounding this apartment situation and let Your peace and righteousness prevail. Show Your greatness and power so that all involved may see Your hand and give You glory. Give our friend who submitted this request wisdom, patience, and grace to handle this matter in a way that honors You, to seek peace where possible, and to trust Your provision and justice.

We thank You for Your love and faithfulness that never fails, and we trust You to work in both lives for Your glory. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Savior, Amen.

We've been holding your request before the Lord, and we hear how heavy this has been. Wanting your former landlord to truly know Jesus while also feeling the sting of being taken advantage of is a hard place to live, and it makes sense you would bring both to God.

It is possible to genuinely want good for him spiritually and at the same time seek what is right and fair in the practical matter. Wanting him to take responsibility is not at odds with grace. Forgiveness in our walk can be a settled choice to release bitterness to God, even while we still pursue honest accountability and healthy boundaries. One does not cancel the other.

One steady next step that often helps in a rental dispute is to get clarity on paper. If you have not already, it can help to write out dates, amounts, and what was agreed, keep copies of any messages or receipts, and then invite a calm, wise third party to look it over with you, whether a pastor you trust or a local tenant help service or legal aid clinic for guidance on options. You do not have to navigate the back and forth alone.

We are asking God to meet you with wisdom and peace as you walk this out.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this landlord to You and ask that You draw him to Yourself, open his ears to hear You and turn his heart toward what is right. We ask that You help him take responsibility and bring an end to any dishonest taking. And we lift our friend to You for strength, clear direction, and provision in this situation, trusting You to lead each step. Amen.

There is a wisdom in bringing this matter before the Lord according to His word, and we join you in prayer for this man.

The Scripture you have laid hold upon speaks with solemn weight, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. There is no other way of saving the soul but by losing it for Christ's sake. We pray that the former landlord may be brought to see that the house in which we dwell in this life has God for its Landlord, and that we are only tenants upon sufferance. The great Landlord has at all times the right to enter His own property and to call every tenant to account, and the rent He requires is a heart that blesses His name and a life yielded to Him. May this man be led to offer the key of his house to that great Landlord and to acknowledge Christ as Lord, that losing his life for Jesus he may truly save it.

We pray also that he may hear the voice of God. The Lord is slow to anger, and His lictor carries the axe bound up in rods, for He reproves men that they may repent. Yet the same word declares that He will not at all acquit the wicked, for His justice must stand. Apart from the atonement, justice demands that sin be punished, and no sin can be trifled with before a holy God. But we magnify the love and pity of God in that He has devised a way by which justice can be satisfied and yet mercy can be triumphant. The cloud of justice that was charged with fiery hail fell not upon us but upon the Saviour's heart, and there in Gethsemane and upon the cross justice was satisfied in full for all who repent and believe. May this landlord be led to that sight, to stand with justice at the cross and see the substitute who bore what sinners ought to have suffered, that he may flee to Jesus and find pardon.

And concerning the wrong of which you speak, we pray that the Lord who loves righteousness will work conviction and honesty in this man's heart. If he has taken what is not his, may the Lord grant him grace to take responsibility, to speak truthfully and to make restitution as one who fears God. We ask that the Lord would restrain all darkness and dishonesty, expel what is unclean, and cause His light and His justice to prevail. We ask also for grace for you, that you may commit your cause to Him who judges righteously, seeking what is just without bitterness, and trusting the Lord to provide and to vindicate in His time.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, Thou art the true Landlord of all our dwellings and of our lives. We confess that we live only by Thy mercy. We bring this man before Thee, who knows not yet the joy of losing his life for Christ that he may save it. Lord Jesus, reign over him in mercy. Open his ears to hear Thy voice and his heart to receive Thy holy plan for his life. Convict him of sin and of righteousness and of judgment, and draw him to Thy cross where justice is satisfied and mercy flows. Grant him repentance unto life, that he may believe on Thee and be saved. And Lord, where wrong has been done, grant him an honest heart to own it and to restore what has been taken, that he may walk in truth before Thee and before men. Do Thou keep those who have been wronged from all malice, and supply their need according to Thy faithfulness. We have received your request and we join you in prayer before our Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is the way of salvation and who calls every person to lose his life for His sake that he may truly save it.

We pray according to the word you have set before us, for whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Jesus will save it. We ask the Father in Jesus name to draw your former landlord to Himself, to open his eyes to his need of a Savior, to grant him repentance and faith so that he turns from darkness to light and gives his whole life to Christ. We pray that he will hear the voice of God and come to know His holy plan, not according to his own desires but according to the mercy and truth revealed in the Gospel. We pray that God will create in him a clean heart, for as Scripture teaches, evil thoughts, thefts and deceit come forth from the heart and defile a person, and only God can wash the heart and make it pure.

We also bring before the Lord the wrong you have suffered. To take what belongs to another, whether by force or by deceit, by withholding what is due or by pressing for unjust gain, is robbery before God. Injustice is not judged by the measure of the amount taken but by the intention of the heart, and God sees both great and small matters. So we pray that this man will be convicted of his sin, that he will take responsibility for what he has done, that he will cease from all dishonesty and covetousness, and that he will make restitution where it is possible, as the fruit of true repentance. We ask that the Lord will lead him away from every form of theft and extortion and guide him into honesty, diligence and charity.

We pray for you as well, that the Lord will guard your heart from anger and bitter speech, and keep you in peace while you seek what is right. If there is a lawful and peaceable way to seek what is owed, we encourage you to pursue it with integrity, leaving vengeance to God and showing the patience that belongs to those who have received mercy.

May the Lord in His grace grant salvation to your former landlord, may He cause him to hear and obey His voice, and may He establish both justice and mercy in this situation for His glory. Your desire to see your former landlord come to know Jesus is right and good, and we join you in praying toward that end. Jesus said in Luke 9:24 that whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Him will save it. That is the personal call of the gospel. Each person must turn from living for self and trust Jesus Christ alone for salvation. The Bible does not teach that everyone will be saved in the end regardless of what they do. The promise of restitution spoken of by the prophets is about God restoring His work and His promises with Israel, and one day they will say blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. For any individual, whether Jew or Gentile, salvation comes only through personally losing his life for Christ in repentance and faith.

We also hear your pain over the rented apartment and the sense that you have been robbed. God is a God of righteousness and justice. He wants His people to keep judgment and do justice, to live honestly and fairly and not to cheat or take advantage of a neighbor. When justice is perverted and truth falls in the street, the foundations of society are shaken, and often those places where justice should be most certain, like courts, do not provide it. The Lord sees this and He cares. He often takes up the cause of the poor and the oppressed and the needy, and He calls those who do wrong to do what is right.

Scripture is very clear that when someone has taken what belongs to another or has caused loss to a neighbor, God requires restitution. The law taught that if a theft was found, the thief should restore, in some cases double, and if he damaged a field or property he should make it good from the best of his own. That principle still shows the heart of God. He wants honesty, responsibility, and making things right where wrong has been done.

So we pray with you both for mercy and for justice. We pray that the Lord will open this man's eyes to his need for Christ, that he will hear the voice of God calling him to repent and believe, and that he will lose his life for Jesus so his life may truly be saved. We pray also that God will convict him about what is honest and just, that he will take responsibility for what he has done and stop taking what is not his, and that where restitution is due he will make it. And we pray for you, that God will give you wisdom and peace as you seek what is right, trusting that even when human justice is far off, the Lord reigns and His justice will ultimately prevail.

Father in heaven, we lift this former landlord to You in the name of Jesus. Draw him to Your Son, grant him repentance and faith so that he will give his life to Christ and be saved. Speak to his heart about Your holy will for his life and bring him to walk in truth. Convict him where he has acted dishonestly and lead him to take responsibility and to make full restitution for what he has taken. Let Your light expel darkness and let Your righteousness be seen.
