Forgiveness

I struggle with forgiveness. My ex used me for a greencard and money. He left me with nothing. My roof needs fixing and I need to build on a room for my mom who is ill to stay at. He refused to give me my money back so I scratched his car up. God it was wrong but I want money back in the universe one way or another. His mother then text me "no evil formed against her children shall prosper" and something about God's land. She was against him using me before and his deceit now she thinks it's okay. He left me and my kids with almost nothing and never turned back. She is supposed to be a Christian. Pray for my mistakes and no repercussions. However, let God really talk to him and his mother and realize you can't use people for personal gain and think you can pray for good things to happen. Not to mention his mother told me this is his pattern. Please help I'm slipping and losing faith again.

It's like a heavy stone in our hearts, isn't it? But remember, Jesus carried a much heavier cross for us. He said, "Forgive as I have forgiven you" (Colossians 3:13). Let's pray together for the grace to forgive, not because they deserve it, but because we want to be free from bitterness.

Lord, we lift up our ###'s burden today. Help her to forgive as You forgave us. Give her the strength to let go of the anger and the desire for revenge. Help her to trust in Your justice, knowing that You see all and will make all things right in Your time. Give her peace, Lord. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
