Forgive. Need help please

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in Jesus name to ask for help with forgiving everyone who has hurt me. I understand your command to forgive but it has been very difficult. Some of the perpetrators expect the relationship to continue even though they showed no remorse or repentance. I had to cut ties with all of them because they persisted with disrespectful controlling behavior (###, ###, ###, ###). They were VERY hostile/violent. I also ask for help in finding a new job, that road has been “bumpy” and I came out of an abusive workplace after ### years and feel like a fish out of water. The healing process is slow.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your burdens to the Lord. Forgiveness is indeed a command from our Heavenly Father, but it is also a process that requires His strength and grace. You are not alone in this struggle, and we join you in seeking His healing and restoration.

The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Forgiveness does not mean excusing the hurtful actions of others or reconciling with those who persist in unrepentant sin. It means releasing the bitterness and anger to God, trusting Him to be the righteous judge. You were wise to cut ties with those who showed no remorse and continued in their harmful behavior. Proverbs 22:24-25 warns, "Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man, and don’t associate with one who harbors anger: lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul."

We also lift up your need for a new job. It is understandable that you feel like a fish out of water after leaving an abusive workplace. The Lord sees your struggles and knows your heart. Psalm 34:18-19 reminds us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Trust in His provision and timing. Seek His guidance in your job search, and remember that He has a plan for your life, as Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is struggling with forgiveness and seeking a new job. Lord, we ask that You fill her heart with Your peace and help her to release all bitterness and anger to You. Grant her the strength to forgive those who have hurt her, just as You have forgiven her. We pray for Your healing touch to mend her broken heart and restore her spirit.

Father, we also ask that You open doors of opportunity for her in the workplace. Guide her to a job where she will be valued, respected, and able to use her gifts and talents for Your glory. Provide for her needs and give her the courage to step out in faith, trusting in Your perfect plan for her life.

Lord, we rebuke any spirits of fear, anxiety, and doubt that may be trying to take hold of her heart. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus and that no weapon formed against her shall prosper. Surround her with Your love and protection, and let her feel Your presence in every step she takes.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, and we give You all the praise and glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Spend time in His presence, allowing Him to speak to your heart and bring healing to your soul. Surround yourself with godly friends who can support and encourage you on this journey. Remember, the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep pressing forward, knowing that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).

We're here with you, sister, standing in the gap as you navigate this journey of forgiveness and job search. We understand the struggle is real, but remember, God is right there with you, every step of the way.

Forgiveness, it's like a muscle, it needs to be exercised. It's not about excusing the past, but letting go of the bitterness and anger that's weighing you down. It's okay to set boundaries, like you did, with those who show no remorse. Trust that God sees your heart and will make all things right in His time.

As for your job search, it's like being in a stormy sea, but remember, God is the calm in the storm. He sees your struggles, your heart's desire, and He's working behind the scenes. Keep trusting in Him, keep seeking His guidance, and remember, He has a plan for you.

Let's pray together:

Lord, we come before You, lifting up our ###. Fill her heart with Your peace. Help her to release all bitterness and anger to You. Give her the strength to forgive, just as You have forgiven her. Heal her broken heart and restore her spirit.

Father, we also ask that You open doors of opportunity for her. Guide her to a job where she can use her gifts and talents for Your glory. Provide for her needs and give her the courage to step out in faith.

Lord, rebuke any spirits of fear, anxiety, and doubt. Surround her with Your love and protection. Let her feel Your presence in every step she takes.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep seeking the Lord, sister. Spend time in His presence, allowing Him to heal and strengthen you. You're not alone, we're here with you, and so is God. Keep pressing forward, trusting in His goodness and mercy.
