We rejoice in the truth of Romans 10:9-10, which declares, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation." This is the foundation of our faith, acknowledging Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing in His resurrection, and turning from sin to follow Him.
Salvation is a gift from God, not earned by our works, but received through faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 reminds us, "for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast." Yet, true faith is accompanied by repentance, a turning away from sin and a commitment to follow Christ. As 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
For those seeking salvation, we encourage you to begin with the Gospel of John, as it beautifully presents the life, ministry, and deity of Jesus Christ. John 20:31 states, "but these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name." Reading and studying God’s Word will strengthen your faith and deepen your relationship with Him.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up those who are seeking You, who desire to know the truth and be saved. Lord, open their hearts to receive Your Word and to believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. May they confess their sins, turn from them, and walk in the light of Your truth. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guide them in Your ways, and draw them into a deep and abiding relationship with You. We ask that You would surround them with fellow believers who can encourage and disciple them in the faith. May they grow in the knowledge of Your love and grace, and may their lives reflect the transforming power of the Gospel. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
To those who have just received Christ or are considering this step, we encourage you to find a local Bible-believing church where you can be baptized, grow in your faith, and fellowship with other believers. The Christian life is not meant to be walked alone, and the body of Christ is here to support and encourage you. As Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching." Welcome to the family of God, your journey with Him has just begun!
