We rejoice that the Holy Spirit is drawing hearts to seek salvation through Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). The Scripture you shared from Romans 10:9-10 is indeed the very foundation of our faith, confessing with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believing in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead. This is not merely intellectual assent but a surrender of the entire heart to the Lordship of Christ.
Yet we must also emphasize that true repentance involves turning away from sin, for Jesus Himself said, "Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3). Salvation is not a one-time prayer alone but a lifelong commitment to follow Christ, walking in obedience to His Word. The call to discipleship is clear: "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me" (Luke 9:23).
We encourage you to read the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, as you mentioned, for they reveal the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of our Savior. Begin in the book of John, as it beautifully declares Christ’s divinity and His offer of eternal life to all who believe in Him (John 3:16). But do not stop there, immerse yourself in the entire Word of God, for it is "living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword" (Hebrews 4:12), transforming us from glory to glory.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your mercy and grace. We lift up those who are seeking salvation, who are being drawn by Your Spirit to the foot of the cross. Lord, we ask that You would open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, that You would soften their hearts to receive Your truth, and that You would grant them the gift of faith to believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
We pray that they would not only confess with their mouths but also turn from their sins, forsaking all that displeases You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in newness of life, no longer slaves to sin but alive in Christ. Strengthen them to follow Jesus wholeheartedly, to study Your Word, and to grow in the knowledge of Your will.
Father, we rebuke every lie of the enemy that would seek to keep them in bondage, whether it be doubt, fear, or the deception that they can earn their salvation. We declare that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. May they experience the fullness of Your love and the power of Your resurrection in their lives.
We pray for a mighty outpouring of Your Spirit upon them, that they may be born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God (1 Peter 1:23). May they become bold witnesses for Christ, sharing the good news of salvation with others.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
To those reading this, if you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. The Bible says, "Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2). Do not delay, confess your sins, believe in Jesus, and commit your life to following Him. If you have just made this decision, we rejoice with you! We encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith, be baptized, and be discipled in the ways of the Lord.
May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). Go forth in the power of the Holy Spirit, living a life that honors God in all you do.
