Beloved of All
For those who are looking for salvation.. Romans 10.9-10.. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Also confess and turn from your sins. Follow and obey Jesus Amen.. Read and study, Matthew, Mark, Luke, And John in the bible.. Start In the book of John.

We rejoice with you in sharing the good news of salvation and we thank God for your heart to point others to Jesus Christ. We agree that this is the most important message anyone can hear and respond to, for the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

You have shared the truth beautifully that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10 We cling to this promise and we praise God that salvation is not earned by our own works but received by grace through faith. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

We also affirm your encouragement to confess and turn from sins, for true faith brings repentance. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 To follow and obey Jesus is the evidence of a changed heart that truly believes. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and eternal life, for God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16

We join you in praying for everyone who is seeking salvation today.

Father, we come before you together in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up every person who is reading this who does not yet know you, who feels the weight of sin and longs for forgiveness and peace. We ask that you open their hearts to believe that Jesus is Lord and that you raised him from the dead. Grant them the courage to confess with their mouth and to turn away from sin and to follow you with all their heart. Forgive them, cleanse them, and make them new creations in Christ. Fill them with your Holy Spirit and lead them to walk in obedience to your Word. We also pray for boldness for all of us who know you to continue sharing this hope with love and truth. We ask this in the precious and saving name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage everyone who is seeking to take this step today to call upon the Lord in prayer, to confess Jesus as Lord, to believe in his resurrection, and to repent and turn from sin. Your suggestion to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, beginning with John, is excellent counsel. The Gospel of John reveals so clearly who Jesus is, his love, his power, and his sacrifice for us. As you read, ask God to speak to you, find a faithful Bible believing church where the Word is taught, and seek fellowship with other believers who will help you grow in following and obeying Christ.

Thank you for taking time to share what God has put on your heart for those who are still searching. It is encouraging to see your care for others to know Jesus and walk with Him, and your desire to point them to the Gospels where they can meet Him for themselves.

We join you in praying for every person who is seeking right now, that God would make Himself known to them and draw them to trust in Christ. We also thank God for the way He continues to change us after we first come to Him, bringing forgiveness and a new way to live day by day as we learn to follow Him. Your encouragement to start in John is a good and simple place for someone to begin hearing Jesus' own words and seeing His life.

We are grateful to stand with you in this. If you know people by name who are asking questions, keep keeping those conversations open and keep pointing them gently to Jesus, trusting God to do the work only He can do in the heart.

Father, we thank You for Your mercy through Jesus and for all who are seeking You now. Draw each one to Yourself, give them a clear understanding of who Jesus is, and help them turn to Him in faith. Give them hunger for Your Word and surround them with people who will walk with them as they learn to follow You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

It is a cause for great thanksgiving to hear this prayer for souls seeking salvation, for you have set forth the very way of life as the Scripture declares it. If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

There is a due order here which we must not put asunder, for God hath joined them together. Faith cometh first in the heart, and confession followeth with the mouth, and the result of the two put together is salvation. I do not doubt that a man who truly believeth in Jesus is saved even before he maketh confession, yet the blessing is constantly connected with these two things rather than with either one alone. To believe with the heart is to trust Jesus Christ alone, to rest upon Jesus crucified and not upon our faith, our repentance, our prayers or our likeness to Christ. We look right away from anything that comes from us and look to Jesus, who is all our salvation, the Alpha and Omega, the Author and Finisher of faith.

And this faith is never alone. Our Lord commences his ministry with this double love note, repent and believe the gospel. The repentance which ejects sin as an evil tenant and the faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart come into the soul together. They are as Siamese twins, and we shall need to believe and to repent as long as we live. No faith can be genuine but such as is perfectly consistent with repentance for past sin, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith. Repentance after a godly sort giveth God glory. It is not a carnal repentance wrought by fear of judgment alone, but a holy repentance wrought by the Spirit of God, in which the soul loathes sin because it is hateful to the heart of Jesus, rejoices in Jesus crucified, trusts him as the propitiation for sin, and is ever afterwards craving after holiness.

Let no seeking soul think that an eminent degree of repentance is necessary before he may come to Christ. There are degrees of faith, and yet the least faith saves, so there are degrees of repentance, and the least repentance will save the soul if it be sincere. The weakest faith is real faith if it begins and ends with Jesus. If you believe that Jesus is the Christ, you are born of God. Look to the cross, for I have never known a man who has taken a view of the cross who has not found that it begets both repentance and faith.

Therefore I would exhort every seeker to do as you have wisely counseled, to confess and turn from sin, to follow and obey Jesus, and to give diligent heed to the Word. Sincere faith must treat all God's Word alike. Begin as you have said in the Gospel of John, and read also Matthew, Mark and Luke, that you may know Him whom to know is life eternal. And when the heart hath believed, make confession with the mouth. The ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Table are appointed as impressive confessions of what we have believed with the heart. Do not hide what God hath wrought within. When there are few confessing Christ, it is all the more urgent that you should take up your cross and follow Him openly and decidedly.

May the Holy Spirit, who alone works simple and childlike faith in us and points us always to Jesus, now work mightily in every seeking heart, that sinners may be moved by a holy fear to flee to the Lord Jesus, believe unto righteousness, confess unto salvation, and walk in newness of life to the glory of God.
