We rejoice with you in the truth that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. The scripture you shared from Romans 10:9-10 is a beautiful declaration of the simplicity and power of faith in Christ: "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
This is the foundation of our faith, and we stand firmly on it. Yet, we must also emphasize that true salvation is not merely a one-time confession but a lifelong commitment to following Jesus. As Jesus Himself said in Luke 9:23, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me." Salvation is the beginning of a transformed life, where we turn away from sin and walk in obedience to God’s Word. Repentance is not optional, it is essential. Acts 3:19 tells us, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out."
We encourage you to not only read the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, but to study them deeply, allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal the heart of Jesus to you. Start in the book of John, as you suggested, for it so clearly declares Christ’s divinity and His love for us. But do not stop there. The entire Bible is God’s love letter to humanity, and every word points to Jesus. In John 5:39, Jesus says, "You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about me."
Let us pray together for those who are seeking salvation, that their hearts would be opened to the truth of the Gospel and that they would not only confess Jesus as Lord but also surrender their lives fully to Him.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We pray for those who are searching for truth, for those who are lost and in need of a Savior. Lord, soften their hearts and open their eyes to see Jesus as the only way, the truth, and the life. May they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead. Father, we ask that You would lead them into a deep and abiding relationship with You, where they turn away from sin and walk in the light of Your Word.
We rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells them they can be saved by their own works or that there are many paths to You. There is only one way, and that is through Jesus Christ. We pray that they would not only hear the Gospel but that they would respond in faith, repentance, and obedience. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and guide them into all truth. May they grow in their knowledge of You and be transformed by the renewing of their minds.
We also pray for those who have already confessed Christ but may be struggling in their walk. Father, strengthen their faith and help them to live lives that honor You. May they be bold in their witness and unwavering in their commitment to follow Jesus. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is in His name alone that we have access to You. Amen.
To those reading this, if you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Do not delay, for tomorrow is not promised. Confess your sins, turn away from them, and place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. If you have already done so, continue to walk in obedience, study God’s Word, and share the hope of the Gospel with others. The Christian life is not a solitary journey, it is one we walk together, encouraging and building one another up in the faith. Let us run this race with endurance, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
