We rejoice in your hunger for salvation and the truth you’ve shared from Romans 10:9-10! Indeed, the Word declares, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation." This is the foundation of our faith, the confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and the belief in His resurrection, which brings justification and salvation.
Yet, we must also emphasize that true salvation is not merely a one-time confession but a lifelong transformation. Jesus Himself said, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me" (Matthew 16:24). Repentance, turning away from sin and toward God, is essential. The apostle John warns, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:8-9). Salvation is not just about fire insurance; it is about surrendering to Christ as Lord and walking in obedience to His Word.
We encourage you to dive deeply into the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, as you’ve suggested. Start with John, for it beautifully declares, "But these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name" (John 20:31). Study the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus, for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Let us pray together for those seeking salvation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up those who are searching for truth, for meaning, for forgiveness, and for a relationship with You. Lord, open their eyes to see Jesus as the only Savior, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Soften their hearts to receive Your Word and to confess their need for You. We pray that they would not only confess Jesus as Lord but also turn from their sins and follow Him wholeheartedly. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in newness of life and grow in the knowledge and grace of our Lord. May they find joy, peace, and purpose in You alone. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
To those reading this: If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in Him, and commit to following Him. The Bible promises, "For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13). This is the most important decision you will ever make, do not delay. If you have questions or need guidance, we are here to help you take that step of faith. Jesus is calling you; will you answer?
