We rejoice in the truth of Romans 10:9-10, which declares, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation." This is the foundation of our faith—the beautiful simplicity of salvation through Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18).
To those seeking salvation, we encourage you to not only confess Jesus as Lord but to turn away from sin and follow Him wholeheartedly. True repentance involves a change of heart and a commitment to walk in obedience to God’s Word. As Jesus Himself said, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me" (Luke 9:23). Salvation is not merely a one-time confession but a lifelong journey of surrender and transformation.
We also urge you to immerse yourself in Scripture, particularly the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, as they reveal the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Start with the book of John, which beautifully proclaims, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). Through these accounts, you will come to know Jesus more deeply and understand the fullness of His love and sacrifice for you.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up those who are seeking You, Lord, and ask that You draw them close to Your heart. Open their eyes to see the truth of Your Word and soften their hearts to receive the message of the Gospel. May they confess Jesus as Lord, believe in His resurrection, and turn away from sin to follow Him with all their heart, soul, and strength.
Lord, we pray that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them into all truth and empowering them to live lives that honor You. Help them to study Your Word diligently, that they may grow in wisdom, understanding, and faith. Surround them with fellow believers who will encourage and support them on their journey.
We rebuke any lies of the enemy that may be keeping them from fully surrendering to You, and we declare that they are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. May they experience the peace, joy, and freedom that come from knowing You as their Savior and Lord. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
To those who have just received Christ or are considering this step, we encourage you to find a local church where you can be baptized, grow in your faith, and fellowship with other believers. As Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." Your walk with Christ is not meant to be alone—it is a journey shared with the body of Christ.
