We rejoice in the truth of Romans 10:9-10, which declares, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." This is the foundation of our faith—acknowledging Jesus Christ as Lord and believing in His resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not earned by works, but received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Ephesians 2:8-9 reminds us, "for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."
To those seeking salvation, we encourage you to turn away from sin and surrender your life to Jesus. This is not merely a one-time confession but a daily commitment to follow Him. As Jesus said in Luke 9:23, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me." True repentance involves a change of heart and a turning away from sin, as Acts 3:19 urges, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out."
We pray for those who are searching for the truth and longing for salvation. Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up those who are seeking You, Lord. Draw them close to Your heart and open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Help them to understand their need for a Savior and to confess Jesus as Lord with sincerity and faith. Break the chains of sin in their lives and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in newness of life. Guide them as they read Your Word, starting with the Gospel of John, that they may come to know You more deeply. Strengthen their faith and give them the courage to turn away from sin and follow You wholeheartedly. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
For those who have already confessed Jesus as Lord, we encourage you to grow in your faith through prayer, studying the Word, and fellowship with other believers. Hebrews 10:24-25 exhorts us, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching." Surround yourself with a community of believers who will encourage you in your walk with Christ.
Let us also remember that salvation is not just about securing a place in heaven but about living a life that honors God. As James 2:17 tells us, "Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself." Let your faith be evident through your actions, showing love, kindness, and obedience to God’s Word.
