We rejoice with you in this precious time of anticipation as you carry new life within you! The miracle of childbirth is a beautiful gift from God, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your desires to Him in the name of Jesus Christ.

First, we want to affirm that every life is fearfully and wonderfully made by our Creator (Psalm 139:13-14). Whether your child is a boy or a girl, we pray for God’s perfect will to be done, trusting that His plans for your family are good (Jeremiah 29:11). While it is natural to have preferences, let us surrender our desires to Him, knowing that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).

We also pray for your strength and peace as you prepare for delivery. Childbirth is a sacred process, and while pain is a part of it (Genesis 3:16), we ask the Lord to grant you endurance, comfort, and a smooth delivery according to His will. The Bible reminds us that God is near to those who call on Him in truth (Psalm 145:18), and we trust He will be with you in every moment.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention in this precious sister’s delivery. Lord, we pray for a safe and healthy birth, one that honors You and brings glory to Your name. Strengthen her body, calm her mind, and fill her heart with Your peace. We ask that You would guide the hands of the medical team attending to her and grant her a delivery that aligns with Your perfect plan. May she experience Your presence in a powerful way, knowing that You are her refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).

We also pray for the baby growing within her. Lord, knit this child together in wisdom and love, and prepare their heart to know You from the very beginning. May this little one be a testament to Your faithfulness and grace.

If there is any fear or anxiety in your heart, dear sister, we encourage you to cast all your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Trust in His timing and His goodness, knowing that He holds your future and the future of your child in His hands.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you await the arrival of your little one. We will continue to pray for you, asking that His will be done in every detail of this journey. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Welcome back, it’s good to hear from you again. We’re walking with you through these final weeks, and we can sense how much you’re hoping for a normal delivery and a baby boy. That mix of excitement and anxious “what-ifs” is something so many mums feel as the due date gets close. Your body is already doing exactly what it was designed to do: nurturing and protecting this little life. That doesn’t make the unknowns any easier, but sometimes it helps just to remember you’re not alone in those racing thoughts.

Right now, one of the most grounding things you can do is to keep sharing these hopes and worries with the people who are actually on hand to help you, your midwife or doctor. They’re there to listen, explain what’s happening, and work with you through a birth plan that honours both your wishes and your safety. So if you haven’t already, maybe make a simple list of the things you’re nervous about and bring them to your next appointment. It can take the edge off when someone who knows the process walks you through what’s real and what’s just fear talking.

We’re praying you sense God’s steady presence right in the middle of this waiting, and that you feel held by His peace even when your mind starts spinning. He sees you, He sees this baby, and He is near.

Lord Jesus, we lift this precious mother to You now. Calm her fears and quiet her heart with the reassurance that she and this baby are in Your hands. Grant her a safe delivery, wisdom for her caregivers, and the grace to trust You with every detail, even the ones she longs for most. Surround her with Your peace and protection, and in Your perfect will, bring this little one into the world healthy and strong. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You have come, as a little bird, desiring to be covered and kept warm beneath the feathers of the Almighty. This is a blessed instinct, for He has promised, “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust.” The fears that flutter about your heart, the waters breaking, the pains of travail, the longing for a son, carry them all to that safe shelter. The hen spreads her wings and the chicks are safe; not because they understand the hawk or the storm, but because she does. So rest, and let the warmth of His faithfulness make you peculiarly happy and at ease.

Your request comes mingled with a measure of unbelief, for you say, “without water break leakage, pain normal delivery not possible I know.” But what is impossible with man is possible with God. Consider the ship of Providence: the Captain knows every wind and every wave, and He has forearranged all things from the beginning to the end. Your body, your babe, the very day appointed, these are not left to chance. The Hebrew women in Egypt were delivered with such vigour that the midwives marvelled. The same God is yours. Put implicit confidence in His guidance, and do not dig at the oars with such exertion as though all depended upon your striving. It is easier to comfort a soul newly in darkness than one who has given way long to an unbelieving state. So bring your fears now and lay them down.

You long also for a son. This desire, like all earthly hopes, must be held with an open hand. The water from earth’s wells refreshes for a moment, but thirst returns. Yet Christ gives living water, a well within, springing up into everlasting life. Whether the child is a boy or a girl, that water remains. Many a mother has found her true joy not in the sex of the child, but in the Saviour who makes every bitter pool sweet. Do not bind your peace to this one outcome. He that trusts his own works to yield comfort labours to fill a bottomless tub with leaky buckets. Trust the Lord Jesus, and let your soul drink from the fountain that never fails.

I urge you, as God’s ambassador, stand still and see the salvation of God. It can never be right to do a wrong thing, and it is a wrong thing to demand a sign or set terms before the Lord. But it is a blessed thing to plead the promises. He has said, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” In the hour of delivery, as in every hour, you are safe, not because the path is free of pain, but because the Captain is at the helm. The Mentonese, casting off the prince, still needed a protector. You have one mightier. May your faith prove victorious over your own unbelief, so that even the adversary hears you say, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.” The Lord keep you fast and firm amidst this trial; may your delivery, in His own time and way, be a testimony that you rest beneath the wings of the eternal God.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You plead for a delivery without pain and for a male child, as if you were ordering goods from a merchant. But recall the sentence pronounced upon our first mother: “In pain you shall bring forth children.” This is not a curse we can simply cast off by demanding signs. The labor of childbirth is the labor of love, a toil that becomes light only when you bear it with thanksgiving and offer it up for your sins. If you suffer the pangs faithfully, they will sanctify you more than any easy birth could.

Why do you insist on a son? Is not a daughter also fashioned by the hand of God? Do you think He is bound to fulfill your fancy? Far better to say, “Thy will be done,” and accept whatever gift He sends. For often He grants our stubborn desires only to mingle them with grief, as He did when Israel demanded a king. Do not provoke Him by setting conditions on His bounty.

You say you know pain is unavoidable, yet you ask to escape it. The woman with child is indeed weighed down, and it is hard to flee the bonds of nature. But that very heaviness can draw grace to you, if you endure it patiently. Cease from demanding your own way; instead, like the thief who stops stealing and then labors with his hands to give to the poor, add to your suffering the labor of repenting and doing good works. Then the true sting will be taken from your pain, even if the flesh still aches.

But beware of delaying your greater salvation, thinking you will turn to God after the child comes. Many have put off the Gift until their last breath and found the door already shut. While you carry this little one, carry also a contrite heart and a resolve to bring up the child in holy fear, whether boy or girl.

Still, we will pray for you, that the Lord in His mercy grant you a safe delivery. Yet pray not, “Give me a son,” nor “Spare me all pain,” but “Thy will be done.” For He who takes away the sin of the world knows what will best serve your soul. If He sends a son, give thanks; if a daughter, give thanks. If the labor is sharp, remember that the fruit dims the memory of the toil. Fix your hope on the eternal birth, where there is no sorrow, but joy that never fades.
