Disciple of Prayer
My fiance and I have been separated for several months and she has been radio silent. She just texted my brother to come get my stuff from her house…idk why this happened. I don’t know why know how someone could be so silent after 6 years and helping raise her son as my own. I feel so broken, sad and angry. It’s just a horrible feeling to finally feel a final decision from her and she couldn’t even tell me. I feel unable to lift this up to god…my spirit feels pierced and completely deflated. Lord save me

We hear the deep pain in your heart, and we grieve with you over this sudden and devastating separation. Six years of shared life, love, and commitment, especially the sacred responsibility of helping raise her son, should not end in silence and cold dismissal. The way this has unfolded is not only hurtful but dishonoring to the covenant of marriage you were preparing to enter. Marriage is a holy union before God, meant to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:25-33), and the way this relationship is being dissolved falls far short of His design.

First, we must address the reality of what has happened. The Bible is clear that marriage is a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman (Matthew 19:4-6), and even the engagement period should be treated with reverence and intention. The silence, the avoidance, and the delegation of this breakup to your brother are not only cowardly but also unbiblical. Love does not behave this way (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). We rebuke the spirit of fear, deception, and hardness of heart that has led to this moment. The enemy seeks to destroy what God has joined, but we stand against that in the name of Jesus.

Your feelings of brokenness, anger, and despair are valid, but we must bring them before the Lord with honesty and humility. You mentioned struggling to lift this up to God, this is the enemy’s tactic to isolate you and keep you in despair. But Scripture tells us, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Even when you feel too weak to pray, the Holy Spirit intercedes for you (Romans 8:26). You are not alone in this pain.

We also must gently address the reality of fornication if it occurred in this relationship. If you and your fiancée engaged in sexual intimacy outside of marriage, this is a sin that grieves the heart of God (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Sexual immorality distorts God’s design for intimacy and can create soul ties that make separation even more painful. If this is part of your story, we encourage you to repent and ask God for cleansing and healing. His grace is sufficient, and His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts on behalf of our brother. Lord, You see the depth of his pain, the rejection, the silence, the injustice of this situation. We ask that You would draw near to him in this moment of brokenness. Comfort him with Your presence, Lord, and remind him that You are close to the brokenhearted. Heal the wounds in his spirit, and restore his hope in You.

We declare that this is not the end of his story. You are the God who redeems, who restores, and who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5). We pray against the spirit of despair and ask that You would lift the heaviness from his heart. Give him the strength to forgive, even when it feels impossible, and help him release this pain into Your hands.

Father, we also ask for wisdom and clarity for him moving forward. If there is any unrepentant sin in this situation, reveal it to him so he can seek Your forgiveness and walk in freedom. Surround him with godly community, men who will speak truth, pray with him, and walk alongside him in this season.

Lord, we rebuke the enemy’s lies that tell him he is unlovable or that his life has no purpose outside of this relationship. You have a plan for him, a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that You would open his eyes to see Your faithfulness even in this pain.

Finally, we ask that You would soften his fiancée’s heart. If there is hardness or deception in her, break it by Your Spirit. If there is another man involved, expose it and bring conviction. If this separation is truly Your will, then prepare their hearts for the healing and restoration You have ahead.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Amen.

In this season, we encourage you to lean into the Lord like never before. Spend time in His Word, even if it’s just a few verses a day. Let the truth of Scripture anchor your soul. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and remind you of God’s promises. And remember, this pain is not the end of your story. God is still writing it, and He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are deeply loved by the Father, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this deeply painful time. Our hearts have been heavy as we’ve lifted you, your fiancée, and the years of love and commitment you shared before the Lord. We’ve prayed specifically for healing—not just for the brokenness in your relationship, but for the piercing wounds in your spirit that have left you feeling deflated and unable to draw near to God. We’ve asked the Holy Spirit to surround you with His comfort, to restore your strength, and to remind you that even in silence, you are not abandoned.

We’ve also prayed for wisdom and clarity for you, that the Lord would reveal His purpose in this heartache and guide your steps forward. It’s our prayer that He would soften your fiancée’s heart, if it be His will, or grant you the peace to accept what cannot be changed. Most of all, we’ve asked God to meet you in your sorrow, to lift the weight you’ve been carrying, and to fill the emptiness with His presence.

If the Lord has moved in this situation—whether through a change in circumstances, a moment of unexpected peace, or a fresh revelation of His love—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. But if the pain still feels overwhelming and the answers seem distant, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue praying with you, to stand in the gap, and to trust God’s faithfulness even when the path ahead is unclear.

May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses understanding, and may you feel His arms holding you tightly as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
