For God's help

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please kindly pray for God to intervene, in a situation; a lady reported she had paid a bill which was credited to another person with the same name by mistake, instead of sending the money to the person it was meant to, but the person who inadvertently got the money, does not want to return it to the sender. May justice be done, and all be settled, in Jesus Name. Amen. For these people to meet with the Lord and acknowledge His Help. Amen.

We join you in bringing this situation before the Lord and we agree with you that justice be done and that all be settled according to His righteous will.

We are burdened by this because what has happened touches on honesty and justice which are very dear to the heart of God. To keep money that one knows does not belong to them is not a small matter in Scripture. It is written Exodus 20:15 You shall not steal and Leviticus 19:11 You shall not steal. You shall not lie. You shall not deceive one another. The Lord also says Proverbs 11:1 A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight. When something is credited to the wrong person by mistake, the right and God honoring response is to return it, as Zacchaeus modeled when he said Luke 19:8 Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor. If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much. To withhold what belongs to another hardens the heart and dishonors God.

We also see that God loves justice and He sees what is done in secret. Psalm 37:28 For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. Micah 6:8 reminds us He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. We pray that the person who inadvertently received this money will be convicted by the Holy Spirit, will act justly and return what is not theirs, so that peace may be restored.

We pray together for all involved, that they may meet with the Lord and acknowledge His help.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son we come before Your throne of grace together. You know the details of this mistaken payment, You know the lady who sent it in good faith, the person for whom it was intended, and the one who now holds it and is unwilling to return it. Lord, You see all and nothing is hidden from You. We ask for Your divine intervention. Soften the heart of the one holding what is not theirs, grant them a spirit of honesty and repentance, and move them to restore the money promptly and fully. We ask for wisdom and favor for the lady as she seeks to correct this error, for integrity among any officials or institutions involved, and for justice to be done without strife. Let Isaiah 1:17 be lived out, to learn to do well, to seek justice and relieve the oppressed. We pray that this difficulty would lead each person to encounter You, to seek Your mercy and to acknowledge that every good outcome comes from Your hand. Give peace to the one who is distressed by this, guard her heart from anxiety, and provide for every need according to Your riches in glory. We trust You to work all things for good for those who love You and we thank You that we can come to the Father only through Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified in the resolution of this matter. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We appreciate you bringing this situation to prayer. It is disheartening when a simple mix-up with the same name leaves someone out of pocket and the other person holds onto what is not theirs. We join you in asking God to intervene and bring a fair resolution.

We have seen how a willing return does more than fix the finances, it clears the conscience and helps restore trust between people. When an error like this happens, the kindest and most just path forward is often through calm, documented steps rather than direct confrontation alone.

If you are close to the lady affected, one helpful next step could be encouraging her to keep every receipt and communication together in one place and to ask the billing office or bank that processed the payment to formally review and correct the miscredit in writing. Many offices have a set process for this, and at times a neutral mediator from the institution can help both parties reach a fair settlement peacefully and privately.

Father, we lift this tangled payment to You. We ask for honesty to prevail, for wisdom for those handling the case, and for a just and peaceful settlement. Work in the hearts of everyone involved, draw them to Yourself, and help them to recognize Your help and give You thanks. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your request has been laid before the Lord and we join you in seeking His gracious intervention in this difficult matter. We serve a God who loves righteousness and justice, and who sees what is done in secret. Nothing is hidden from His eye, and He is both the God of perfect justice and the God of peace who has prepared everything necessary for a perfect reconciliation through His Son.

We pray that the Lord would move in this situation where money entrusted for one purpose has by error been credited to another, and where the heart of the one who received it has been hardened to keep what is not his own. May the Lord stir conscience, and bring that soul to see His law in all its glorious holiness, and to do what is honest and right in His sight. We ask that He who is slow to anger, yet who will not at all acquit the wicked, would grant repentance and a willingness to restore what belongs to another, that justice may be done and this matter be settled peaceably and righteously.

We ask also for wisdom for all who must handle this error, for those in authority and for those who seek to correct it, that truth may be made plain and that no injustice may remain. May the Lord in His providence open a way where there seems to be no way, and cause that which is right to prevail without strife.

And above all we pray, as you have asked, that each person concerned may meet with the Lord and acknowledge His help. For we know that the great work of reconciliation He committed to His Son, and that without any violation of His justice He can have mercy upon those who have offended Him. At the cross justice was satisfied, and God can be just and yet the justifier of him that believeth in Jesus. Oh that all who are involved in this trouble might be brought to that true peace with God which comes only through faith in Christ, and might know the joy which this reconciliation brings. May they be led to cry for mercy, to receive the atonement by which transgression is finished and everlasting righteousness is brought in, and to walk henceforth in honesty and love toward their neighbour.

We commend this burden to Him who hears prayer, trusting that in His wisdom and in His time He will vindicate what is right and reveal His mercy. May the Lord grant you peace as you wait upon Him, and may His name be glorified in the outcome, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request for prayer has been received and we bring it before the Lord with you. God is a God of justice and He does not overlook what is done among us. As it is written, His righteousness is as the mountains and His right hand is full of righteousness, and He has planted courts of justice even here on earth to show that He Himself will surely require an account.

What you describe is a matter of justice. To keep what belongs to another, even when it came by mistake, is not a small thing before God. Injustice is not measured only by the amount taken but by the intention of the heart. Whether a man takes gold by force or withholds by deceit what is not his, or keeps back a price that is due, he is held guilty of robbery before the Lord. The one who does such a thing may think he has gained, but he brings bitterness upon his own soul. Conscience itself becomes a judge within, giving no rest, pale and trembling and self condemned, because the faculty of judging is planted in us by God and cannot be bribed by excuses or by the silence of others. And if restitution is required under the law, how much more under grace are we called to do what is right and even to add mercy to justice.

We pray with you that God will intervene in this situation. We ask the Lord to move upon the heart of the one who has received what is not his, that he may not harden himself but may be led to return what belongs to another and to do so quickly and honestly. We pray that justice may be done and that the matter may be settled in peace without strife or further loss. We ask God to give wisdom to those who must decide the case, and to give patience and integrity to the one who sent the payment in error, that she may act with honesty and not with anger.

We also pray as you asked, that all who are involved may meet with the Lord and acknowledge His help. May this trial awaken each heart to see that we all need mercy, that we all stand in need of forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone, and that true gain is not in holding fast to money but in a clean conscience before God. May God mingle mercy with justice here, granting repentance where it is needed and peace where there has been anxiety, so that His name may be glorified.

We commit this to Him who loves righteousness and delights to show mercy, trusting that He hears and will answer according to His perfect wisdom. In Jesus Name, Amen.
