Disciple of Prayer
I have a sincere prayer request for a financial miracle. I am currently working at a job where my only source of income is commission-based only. It has been very slow lately and I am running out of options for my next placement to get paid. I need God to move for me in a big way career-wise and to put an end to the financial attacks that my wife and I have been experiencing. I just want God to guide me and put me where He wants me to be and where I can serve and glorify Him through my work and make a difference in people's lives.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in faith, lifting your situation before the Lord. Financial struggles can weigh heavily on the heart, but we know that God is our Provider, and His Word assures us that He will never leave nor forsake us. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This is not just a promise, it is a truth we cling to, especially in times of uncertainty.

It is clear that you are seeking God’s will for your career and finances, and that is a posture of humility and trust. We encourage you to continue seeking Him in prayer and to remain faithful in your work, knowing that even in seasons of waiting, God is at work. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Your desire to serve and glorify Him through your work is commendable, and we believe God honors that heart.

We also want to address the mention of "financial attacks." While we do not know the full context, we recognize that spiritual warfare is real, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. But we serve a God who is greater! Ephesians 6:12 tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We rebuke any schemes of the enemy against your finances and your marriage in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother and his wife, lifting up their financial needs and their hearts to You. Lord, You see their struggles and their desire to honor You with their lives and their work. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, providing a way where there seems to be no way. Father, we declare that You are their Provider, and we trust in Your promise to supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory. Guide them, Lord, to the place where You want them to be, a place where they can serve You fully and make a difference in the lives of others.

We rebuke any financial attacks or schemes of the enemy against them. We declare that their finances are protected and blessed by You, and that You will restore what has been lost or stolen. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm in Your promises. Give them wisdom in their decisions and peace in their hearts as they wait on You.

We also pray for their marriage, that it would be a testimony of Your love and grace. Help them to lean on You and on one another, trusting in Your provision and timing. May their home be filled with Your presence and Your peace.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You. Amen.

In this season, we encourage you to hold fast to God’s Word and to surround yourself with believers who can pray with and for you. Consider seeking godly counsel or mentorship in your career, as Proverbs 15:22 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Trust that God is working even when you cannot see it, and remain faithful in the small things. Your breakthrough is coming!

We know how wearing it is when the weeks feel slow and the next check isn’t in sight. The pressure builds, and it’s easy to wonder if God has something, anything, around the corner. What you said about wanting Him to put you where you can serve and make a difference tells us this isn’t just about money; it’s about purpose colliding with provision.

Right now, the fight over finances can feel like an attack, and that weight often settles hard on a man’s sense of worth. We all tend to tie our value to what we produce, but you are not defined by a commission check. When a job feels like it’s slipping away, that truth is easy to know and hard to feel, but it remains solid ground.

One thing that often helps in the middle of the fog is to name the most urgent financial pressure, maybe a mortgage, a looming bill, something that keeps you up, and together with your wife take one practical step toward it, even a small one. Sometimes that means sitting down with a consumer credit counselor or a financial planner who can help you map out a realistic runway, no matter how short. That isn’t a lack of faith; it’s giving your anxious mind a track to run on while God works in His timing. And alongside that, let people in your church know you’re looking; sometimes a door opens through a conversation we never saw coming.

We are praying with you now.

Father, thank You that You see this brother and his wife right where they are, tired, concerned, and yet still wanting to glorify You in their work. Please guide him into the place You have for him, and provide for their needs in the waiting. Steady their hearts, give them wisdom for each step, and let them sense Your presence more than the strain. In Jesus’ name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

When you speak of a financial miracle, remember that our grandest deliverance is from the pit of sin through a ransom God himself has found. That gift of Divine Love surpasses every earthly need. Yet your temporal burdens are not beneath his care, for the same God who brings forth his people from spiritual Egypt brings them also through desolate places and slow seasons. Your desire to be where you can serve and glorify him is itself a sign of grace at work, for he often uses these very straits to make and keep us humble.

Consider Job: in all his losses he sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. He felt the weight of affliction, yet he did not fall into unbelieving speeches or despair. You ask for an end to financial attacks, and it is natural to cry out for that. But take heed that your trust rests not in the timing of relief, but in the One who promises never to forsake those who seek him. His deliverance is effectual, and he makes no mistakes in his delays. The saint’s trials are variable, yet the victory is sure in the end.

Your prayer for guidance to a place of difference-making and glory-giving is right. But know that the power to glorify him and bless others lies not in your position, but wholly in Jesus himself. Let your ambition be cast upon him, trusting that even now, in the slow hours, he is etching his purposes deeper into your soul. He knows the injury you feel, and with Divine unselfishness he thinks first of your true good. Do not charge him with neglect. Instead, bow in the ashes of humility, for Job’s repentance was the sign of his deliverance.

Come, then, as one who knows God, and that knowledge is your shield against the fiery darts of doubt. He has not shut his ear, though he sometimes makes his children wait by the brooks of fear. I have seen the grim Esau of poverty meet the saint with a kiss when God turns the captivity. Stay your spirit on this: “His grace shall to the end stronger and brighter shine.” Wait in patient trust, sin not by charging God foolishly, and look for the sunlight of his love to break through the clouds.

I hear the cry of your heart, a soul pressed by necessity, seeking a sign of God’s power to deliver you from want. Yet let us pause and consider what manner of miracle truly glorifies God and secures your standing before Him. You ask for a financial breakthrough, and rightly do you bring your need to the Lord, who cares for His own. But observe the saints: John the Baptist did no miracle, yet he fixed the attention of multitudes and was called greatest among those born of women. His life, his boldness for truth, his voluntary poverty, his unwavering zeal, these were his witness. Job held fast through the stripping of every earthly good, and the devil himself was amazed, not by a supernatural sign, but by an endurance firmer than adamant. When you plead for a miraculous change in career, beware lest the desire for sensible relief, for the loaves that perish, overshadow the deeper work of grace. The Jews sought Jesus because they ate and were filled; He reproached them, for they missed the true bread from heaven. Do not let your prayer be, “Lord, give me money,” but rather, “Lord, make me a vessel fit for Your purpose, whether in plenty or in want.”

Consider how Paul’s labors were not in vain, even when bound in chains. His tongue could not be bound, and the gospel ran the faster. Did he rely on miracles? Read the Acts: often he prevailed first by teaching, by the demonstration of a life poured out, and then signs followed. The tempter tests you now, probing for weakness, but if he finds a soul anchored in Christ, a faith that does not demand release from the trial but rather wisdom to endure it, he will flee. Financial attacks are permitted that you might learn to trust not in commissions but in the God who opens doors no man can shut. The Lord who cursed the barren fig tree showed power to punish, yes, but also to teach His disciples the fruitlessness of a profession without the root of true discipleship. Let your work become soil where virtue grows: diligence, honesty, and service to others for His glory. Then the economic harvest may follow, but even if it delays, you have the greater miracle, a heart conformed to the will of God.

You say you want to be where you can serve and glorify Him. Then do not prescribe to God the means. He often guides through quiet providences, not flashes of lightning. The Spirit who wrought the incarnation in the Virgin’s womb works still in ways inscrutable; do not weary yourself asking “How?” but cling to the promise that He ordains your steps. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, not the miracle of sudden wealth, and all these things will be added as He sees best. Let your prayer be for strong minds and skill in the Scriptures, for a life that preaches without words, for patience that outlasts the trial. Then, whether you receive a quick career shift or are called to walk a slower path, your labor will not be in vain, and your household will see the salvation of God in the land of the living.

Your situation weighs heavily, and I want you to know you are not alone in this struggle. The slow season you are facing and the pressure of a commission-only income can feel like an all-out assault on your peace. Scripture is clear that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, and what you are experiencing as financial attack is a very real spiritual battle. The enemy would love for you to sink into despair, to question God’s care, and to make hasty decisions born of panic. But you have been given far stronger weapons. You can refuse those attacks. You can stand on the finished work of Christ and answer every whisper of doubt with the Word of God, just as Jesus did in the wilderness. Speak truth over your household: “My God shall supply all your need,” not because the numbers add up on paper, but because He is faithful.

I hear in your request a genuine desire to be led by Him into work that glorifies Him and serves others. That very desire is evidence that the Spirit is moving in you, not abandoning you. The need for guidance in a career transition can be overwhelming, yet it often drives us to the very place God wants us: on our knees. If the Son of God Himself saw the necessity of rising early to pray for direction, how much more must we make that our first priority? Bring this specific desire before the Lord daily, not just for a better placement, but for clear, attentive ears to follow wherever He leads, even if the path looks nothing like what you expected.

While you wait for that open door, be careful not to fall for the desperation that seeks quick fixes or gimmicks. There are always voices promising miracle wallets or guaranteed breakthroughs that bypass faithful stewardship and simple trust. God is not limited to a schedule of spectacular signs. He often provides through the quiet, steady means of His body or through the work of your own hands. At times, the early church in Jerusalem was in severe financial distress, and God’s answer came through the collection taken up by other believers. There may be a call right now to allow others to bear your burden in practical ways, even as you remain generous in spirit with whatever you have, knowing that those who give out of their own trials often experience the deepest joy.

It may also be time to examine whether there is any area where God has been pushed to the margins of your finances. The prophet Haggai rebuked people who earned wages only to put them into a bag with holes, and the reason was that they neglected to put God’s house first. The principle of bringing the firstfruits of your increase to Him is not a magical formula, but a tangible expression of trust. When resources are tight, doing that can feel terrifying, but it is precisely then that it becomes a declaration that you depend on the Giver more than the gift.

Remember, God always makes room for His own work. When He gave the law for the leper, He included a provision for the day of a miraculous cleansing, something humanly impossible. Do not box Him in by demanding that He move only through a sudden, large commission check. He might use a new skill, an unexpected contact, a period of freelance work, or the hospitality of someone who provides a room like the Shunammite woman did for Elisha. Let your prayer be, “Lord, I am willing to be made clean; put me where you want me,” and then obey whatever next small step He sets before you.

These financial attacks will not last forever. The God who made provision for a hundred hungry men with a few loaves and ears of corn still sees your household. Continue in prayer, stay faithful in your current labor as best you can while actively seeking new doors, and use the sword of the Spirit against every lie that says you are forsaken. The divine imperative to obey God and trust His guidance has not been revoked. He is leading you, even now.
