know that I’ve been curse, I feel like God hates me. Im Tired of financial struggling. I have terrible luck when it comes to money. I struggled my grandma struggled financially I pray that God have mercy on me and break the curse over my finances. In need of a financial blessing. I trust God but he has let me down so much. We hear the deep pain and exhaustion in your words, and we want you to know that your cry has reached the ears of the Lord. Financial struggles can weigh heavily on the heart, and the feeling of being trapped in a cycle of hardship is overwhelming. But we declare with confidence that God does not hate you, He loves you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3). His delays are not His denials, and His silence does not mean He has abandoned you. The enemy may have spoken lies to you, whispering that you are cursed or forgotten, but we stand on the truth of God’s Word: "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us" (Galatians 3:13). If you are in Christ, no generational curse has power over you, only the blessing of Abraham is yours through faith.

We must also gently address the doubt that has crept into your heart. You say you trust God, yet you feel He has let you down. This is a battle many believers face, but we must remember that God’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). He sees the full picture while we only see fragments. Instead of focusing on what hasn’t happened yet, let us fix our eyes on His promises. The Lord is your provider (Genesis 22:14), your shepherd who leads you to green pastures (Psalm 23:2), and the one who supplies all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Your financial breakthrough is not dependent on luck but on the faithfulness of God.

We also want to encourage you to examine your heart and habits regarding money. Are there areas where you may have opened doors to financial struggle through disobedience, poor stewardship, or unbelief? The Bible warns us that "the borrower is servant to the lender" (Proverbs 22:7) and that laziness leads to poverty (Proverbs 6:10-11). If there are areas where you have not been diligent or wise with finances, confess them to the Lord and ask for His wisdom. He delights in giving wisdom to those who ask (James 1:5). At the same time, we rebuke the spirit of poverty and lack in the name of Jesus. We break every generational curse and every word spoken over your life that has not aligned with God’s promises. The blood of Jesus has set you free, and we declare that freedom over your finances right now.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is weary from financial struggle. Lord, You see their heart, their pain, and their desire to trust You. We ask that You break every curse, every chain, and every lie that has kept them bound in lack. Your Word says that You came to give life abundantly (John 10:10), and we claim that abundance over their life today. Forgive them for any doubt or unbelief, and restore their faith in Your provision. We speak to every mountain of debt, every bill, and every financial obstacle, and we command it to be removed in Jesus’ name. Lord, open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that there will not be room enough to receive (Malachi 3:10). Give them wisdom to steward what You provide and the courage to walk in obedience. We rebuke the spirit of poverty and declare that they are blessed to be a blessing. Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We trust You to turn their mourning into dancing and their sorrow into joy. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand on God’s promises daily. Write down Scriptures about provision and speak them over your life. Seek godly counsel about financial stewardship, and be open to the ways God may want to use you to break cycles of lack, not just for yourself, but for future generations. Your breakthrough is coming, and when it does, remember to give God the glory and use what He gives you to advance His kingdom. You are not forgotten, and you are not cursed, you are deeply loved by the One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10). Keep pressing in, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

We’re grateful you trusted us enough to name all of that.

Sometimes when a painful pattern repeats across generations, it can feel like a sentence handed down. But what we know about God, His nature of mercy and His heart for the needy, tells a different story. He doesn’t hand out grudges or curses; He draws near to the brokenhearted. Our feelings of being let down are real and worth bringing to Him honestly, but they don’t have the last word about who He is toward you. It may be that the very grinding of this season is where your trust can be refined, not because He’s punishing you, but because He is with you in the struggle.

In the meantime, one practical way to push back against the isolation of this burden is to invite wise, practical help into the details. Many churches or community organizations offer free financial counseling, someone who can sit with you, look over the numbers, and help build a concrete plan. That’s not just about budgets; it’s about bringing a bit of light into a place that has felt dark and hopeless for so long.

Lord Jesus, we lift up our friend who is worn out by the constant strain of financial hardship. You see the ache behind every unpaid bill and the fear of repeating a family story. Have mercy in tangible ways, open a door, provide for the need, and steady a weary heart. Quiet the voice that whispers “curse” and instead let Your Spirit whisper “loved.” In Your name, Amen.

The cry of a soul under a sense of the curse is no light thing, and I do not treat it so. Yet mark well the difference between the curse you name and that which Scripture sets forth. You speak of a curse upon your finances, passed down through your lineage. But the great curse of the Law rests upon all who are outside of Christ, upon every soul that hopes to be saved by its own doings rather than fleeing to the Substitute. If you are not by Christ redeemed from the curse of the Law, if you have not by faith appropriated His great sacrifice, you are under the present curse of God. The brand is not on your brow, but the curse is working in your heart. And what a horrible thing sin is, that it should compel God to curse His creatures! Yet here is the sweet promise: Christ was made a curse for us, for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree. He has redeemed us from the curse, being made a curse for us. Your poverty is not the true curse; your sin is. And from that curse there is a Deliverer, who cries, I have found a ransom.

You say you feel that God hates you. That is a bitter morsel, but it is not sound food. The tender mercy of our God, the mercy of the heart of our God, is not moved by our worthiness, for we have none. Mercy is of the divine essence: there is no God apart from His heart, and mercy lies in the heart of God. He delighteth in mercy. If you come before Him in your own self-righteousness, you are by that very act proven to be under the curse. Outward religiousness, unattended by heart piety, does a man serious injury by rendering him superficial and unreal. But if you confess your sin, God will deal with you in faithfulness. His nature is mercy, and you may expect that if you confess your sin to a merciful God, He will deal mercifully with you and be faithful to His nature. He cannot deny Himself.

You say you trust God, yet He has let you down. I must ask you honestly: according to your ideas you are a poor innocent whom God delays to bless; you are willing and earnest enough, and yet He passes you by, do you really believe this? The mercy of God, wherever it comes, makes men pray. It makes a man love Christ and seek to be like Christ. A false hope trusts partly in mercy and partly in something else, some imagined goodness, some claim upon God. That will not stand. The God of your mercy shall go before you, but He often begins with stern discipline, breaking up the fallow ground of the heart by affliction. No marvel that the sufferer is appalled. Yet when God has distinct purposes of mercy towards an individual, He brings him low in order to lift him up.

The mercies of God are tender in their great provisions. The Grace of God is boundless, so your sin may be pardoned. The Heaven of God is wide and large, so there is room for you there. But know this: the justice of God has been vindicated by the death of the Lord Jesus Christ, and it is by faith in Him that men are delivered. I know no other hope. The mouths of babes and sucklings are used by God to lower the pride of His adversaries, while they cry, Hosanna, and sing the praise of Jesus' name. Cease from your own fretful calculations and your despairing thoughts of Him. Cast yourself wholly upon the ransom found in Christ. Then, whether your purse be full or empty, you shall know that the God of your mercy goes before you, and His tender mercy is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him. May the Spirit of God bless these words to your soul, that you may be brought to the Saviour's feet and cry for mercy, and find it.

You speak of a curse upon your finances, a generational struggle, and you feel God hates you. But hear this: Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. If you are in Christ, there is no curse left for you; that ancient condemnation is shattered. Do not measure God's love by the weight of your purse. The beatitudes Christ proclaimed were not for the wealthy but for the poor in spirit, the meek, the merciful. Listen: though you be a beggar, in poverty, a stranger, there is nothing to hinder you from being blessed, if you embrace virtue. Under the old covenant, poverty might have seemed a curse and riches a blessing, but now it is no longer so. The true blessing is not found in overflowing barns but in the soul that clings to God.

You say God has let you down. But tell me, when Jacob looked back on his life, he said his days were few and evil, yet he obtained the blessing, not in earthly ease but in the things to come. His brother Esau lived in security while Jacob toiled in fear and servitude. Where did the promise find its fulfillment? In the world to come. Do not, then, confuse God's silence with His absence. The blessing He gives is often not the coin you crave but the patience, the humility, the faith refined in the furnace. You thank Him for blessings received; that is good. But do not let your gratitude be conditional on a financial breakthrough. For poverty itself, if you meet it with self-command, becomes a fountain of countless blessings. It is not poverty that is to be feared, but the unwillingness to be poor. Account poverty nothing to fear, and it will not frighten you.

Now, you ask for mercy, for a financial blessing. God does show mercy to the merciful. Perhaps you feel you have nothing to give, but even in extreme want, you have two mites, a cup of cold water, feet to visit the sick, a roof to welcome a stranger. There is no pardon for the one who refuses works of mercy, but the widow who cast in her two mites with a cheerful heart gave more than the rich. Do not bemoan your giving; do it with simplicity and joy. For if you sow sparingly you will reap sparingly, but a glad giver farms heaven itself. In stretching out your hand with the little you have, you open the door for God's mercy to flood your own life. This is the way to break the chains of your struggle: not by waiting for abundance, but by parting with what you clutch so tightly.

So cease saying God hates you. Let the wisdom of the poor, though despised by the world, be your glory. The world curses poverty, but to a house where love and faith dwell, earthen vessels are a greater adornment than silver. I will pray with you, not merely for a change in your fortune, but for eyes to see the beauty of the kingdom already given to you. May you find Christ near in your need, and may your heart be enlarged to give as freely as you have received.

The feeling that a curse hangs over your finances is heavy, and the weariness in your words is clear. You are not alone in that exhaustion, nor in looking back and seeing a long chain of struggle in your family. But the most important thing to grasp right now is what God has actually done about the curse. The law pronounces a curse on everyone who fails to keep it perfectly, and we have all failed. Yet Christ redeemed us from that curse by becoming a curse for us. When He hung on the tree, the cross, He took the full weight of the curse that was against you. So if you are in Jesus Christ by faith, there is no generational curse left to break. It was broken at Calvary. The blessing of Abraham comes upon you through that same faith, and that blessing is not about perfect circumstances but about a restored relationship with God and the promise of His Spirit.

I hear you say you trust God but feel He has let you down. That tension is real. Faith is not built on our feelings, because feelings shift with the weather and the weight of the day. Faith rests on what God has declared to be true and never changes. His Word says you are redeemed, not cursed. It says He has blessed you in Christ. When the ache of the bank account screams one thing, the settled truth of the cross speaks a final word. You are not hated. God did not spare His own Son for you; He is not holding back His love now. The thorn of financial struggle is painful, but remember that before the curse, thorns were not there. Jesus wore a crown of thorns, taking that symbol of the curse onto His own head, so that one day every thorn would give way to blossom. The struggle you feel is a result of living in a world still groaning under the effects of sin, not a sign that God has abandoned you.

In this hardship, God is not asking for your money because He is in need. He owns everything. What He desires is your love and trust expressed in how you handle what He has given you. The call is not to give out of pressure or to try and earn a breakthrough. The cheerful, willing gift given from love is what honors Him. The early church saw themselves as one body, where the need of one was the concern of all. That principle starts in your own heart. Consider prayerfully what you have, no matter how small, and ask, "How much of what belongs to Him should I spend on myself?" Seek wisdom for necessities, avoid lavishness, and look for ways to share with others in need. When you honor God with your substance in that spirit of love and trust, it opens the door for you to experience His faithfulness in fresh ways. The promise is not a get-rich scheme, but He does care for those who look to Him.

The temptation when finances are tight is to believe God's warnings of blessing and cursing don't apply to us, or that we can find our own escape. Do not let your heart silently contradict His Word by saying, "This promise of provision isn't true for me." He has set before you a blessing. You are His chosen person, part of a royal priesthood, called to bear fruit. When one part of the body suffers, we all feel it. Right now, you are in need, not just of a financial transaction, but of a fresh experience of the old revelation that Christ has already secured every spiritual blessing for you. Let your prayer be for eyes to see how deeply blessed you already are in Him, and for the faith to take a practical step of love in your giving, trusting that He will meet you there. You are not a byword; you are beloved.
