We join with you in bringing this burden before our Heavenly Father, and we thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5, and In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We rejoice that you have come in that precious name.
We hear the heaviness of your heart as you and your family face financial struggle, falling behind, unable to pay doctor bills, and carrying the weight of debt and stress. We know this fear of losing what you have, and we bring it to the Lord together.
The Scripture reminds us that our Father knows our needs and cares deeply for us. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. And Jesus Himself tells us, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. He also says, Don’t be anxious, saying, What will we eat? or What will we drink? or With what will we be clothed? For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things Matthew 6:31-32.
We also hear your anxiety, and God invites us to exchange that anxiety for His peace. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7.
We want to encourage you with godly wisdom as you wait on the Lord's provision. God honors diligent work and faithful stewardship. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men Colossians 3:23. The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty Proverbs 21:5. For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it Luke 14:28. We encourage you to seek wise counsel, to make a careful budget, to be faithful in little things, to avoid further debt where possible, for The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender Proverbs 22:7, and to continue to trust God rather than placing hope in riches themselves, for the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil 1 Timothy 6:10.
We pray together for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this dear family to You. You see their needs, their bills, their debt, and the stress that weighs on them. We ask for Your mercy and provision according to Your perfect will. Open doors for work and opportunity, give them wisdom to steward what You have provided, and help them to owe no one anything except to love one another Romans 13:8. Provide for their daily needs and for those doctor bills, and give them peace that passes all understanding as they cast their cares on You. Help them to keep their eyes on You, seeking first Your Kingdom, trusting that You will not forsake the righteous Psalm 37:25. Guard their home from loss and give them hope and unity as they walk through this trial together, remembering that You cause all things to work together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. Strengthen their faith, remind them that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and lead them into freedom from debt and into contentment in You. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, Amen.
