We may make plans but it is God's purposes and plans that will prevail. And that is a good thing because we might miss out on the goodness of God if we just stick to our own plans. "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11. Asking for your prayers today for God's blessing on our business. We are about to make a large purchase of game boards and need current sales to come in, in order to pay our manufacturer. Thank you for praying for us! God has blessed us and we desire to honor Him in all we do as we conduct our business and be able to pay our manufacturers up front. Have a blessed day! ###

You quoted Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. We also remember Proverbs 16:9, A man's heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps, and Proverbs 16:3, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. We love your heart to seek His will rather than simply your own plans. We also encourage you with Matthew 6:33, But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well, and with Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. God calls us to diligence and faithful stewardship as we work heartily as for the Lord and not for men as Colossians 3:23 teaches, and to trust Him with the outcome even as we pray for increased sales and provision for this large purchase of game boards.

We did notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why this is so important to us. Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for this business and for the hearts that desire to honor You in all they do. We ask for Your blessing and provision upon this purchase of game boards. You know the cost and the need to pay the manufacturer, and You know the current sales that are needed. We ask that You would provide according to Your riches and wisdom, that You would draw customers and open doors for sales in a way that brings You glory. Give wisdom and discernment in stewardship, in planning and in timing, and help them to walk in integrity, diligence and generosity. Let their business be a testimony of honesty and faithfulness that points others to You. Your prayer request has been received with gratitude and we have brought it before the Lord. We rejoice to hear your desire not merely for prosperity in business, but to honor Him in all you do and to deal uprightly with those to whom you are responsible, even to pay your manufacturer beforehand. This is a good testimony, for the believer who is a tradesman is put behind the counter to be a blessing there, and every true testimony to Christ in daily business brings glory to God and blessing to men.

You have well said that we may make plans but it is God's purposes that prevail, and that this is for our good. The word you have quoted, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future," was spoken to a people in exile, to teach them that the Lord's blessing does not come by chance, but by His covenant purpose. The greatest blessing is not first in sales or in goods, but in Christ, in whom we are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. He has blessed us just where we needed blessing most, where we were poorest in spiritual things, and from Him comes the double blessing of grace and peace.

We do therefore pray for you, that the Lord who made heaven and earth, whose blessing is almighty in power, would in His wisdom provide for this need. We ask that He would prosper the work of your hands as seems good in His sight, that He would send sufficient sales to meet this large purchase of game boards, and that He would give you contentment and faith to trust His hand whether the answer comes as you expect or in another way He appoints. May He keep you from anxiety and keep you blessing Him, for it should be our life to bless Him who gave us our life, and to go on blessing Him till the last hour of life.
