Dear Father, You know what it's like to have true fellowship with Your Son, Matt 11:27, and Jesus, You with with the Father, John 10:15. Thank You because of Your love of righteousness and abhorrence of evil The Father anointed You with the Oil of Gladness above anyone who's ever lived, Ps 45:7, Heb 1:9. I would like us to have some of that from Your Fullness, John 1:16, Eph 1:3, AND a scheduled time for video with my son, Ecclesiastes 3:1, Acts 17:26. Turn our hearts toward one another, especially the boy and I, Mal 4:5-6 and help the three of us have a relationship of peace, preferably through her finding peace with God, a proper mindset of trials, and a solid grasp of God's love in adoption, Rom 5:1-5, but if not, and I've been asking James 1:5, Col 1:9, Phil 1:9-10 wisdom on this, of course, the clause of peace in 1 Cor 7:15 is there. Deliver her from deception, Matt 24:4, sin, 1 Cor 8:1, evil influences, Zeph 3:13, evil people 2 Thes 3:3, 2 tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, temptation and the evil one, Matt 6:13, and keep us from the evil one, John 17:15...

Please LORD, a king's heart is as channels of water in Your hands -- You turn it whatsoever way You will, Prov 21:1. I've learned a lot from both Your Word, and Your discipline, Job 5:17, Deut 8:5, Prov 3:11-12, Ps 119:57, 1 Cor 11:32, Heb 12:6, Rev 3:19, I am now praying for protection from evil people and imposters, Prov 30:8, 2 Cor 11:26, Tim 3:5, 2 Tim 3:13, Tit 1:16, etc. Grant me, her, him and all of us the faith and patience that we might inherit the promises, Heb 6:12, the promises that are Yes and Amen in Jesus, 2 Cor 1:20, as we ask in Jesus' Name, John 14:13-14, thanking You in advance, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6.

We join with you in this deep desire for true fellowship, connection, blessing, protection and love, and we hear your heart for joy and laughter together as a family. We agree that a cheerful heart is good medicine, as it is written in Proverbs 17:22, and that even Jesus rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit in Luke 10:21, and we pray that the same oil of gladness spoken of in Psalm 45:7 and Hebrews 1:9 would be poured out upon you and your son and your household from His fullness according to John 1:16 and the spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ in Ephesians 1:3.

We lift up your desire for a scheduled time for video fellowship with your son, and we pray that the Lord who makes everything beautiful in its time in Ecclesiastes 3:1 and who determined appointed seasons and boundaries in Acts 17:26 would open that door. We pray with you from Malachi 4:6 that He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers, especially between you and your boy, that fellowship in the light as described in 1 John 1:3 and 1 John 1:7 would be restored and strengthened.

We also hear your prayer for the three of you to have a relationship of peace, and we agree that God's perfect will is reconciliation and peace with God first, then peace with one another. As it is written in Romans 5:1, being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and that peace then works patience and character and hope even through trials as in Romans 5:3-5. We continue to ask with you for wisdom as promised in James 1:5 and Colossians 1:9 and Philippians 1:9-10 to know how to walk in love and discernment. We understand you mentioning the provision in 1 Corinthians 7:15 where if the unbelieving departs, let it be so, and the brother or sister is not under bondage, for God has called us in peace, but we encourage you to continue to pursue peace and holiness without which no one will see the Lord according to Hebrews 12:14, and to keep your heart pure for blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God in Matthew 5:8. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman before God, and His desire is for restoration and for both husband and wife to be reconciled to Him and to each other where possible, not seeking separation hastily but trusting His perfect timing.

We agree with you in praying for her deliverance from deception as warned in Matthew 24:4, from sin and evil influences, and from evil people and impostors as in 2 Thessalonians 3:3 where the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, and 2 Timothy 3:5 and 2 Timothy 3:13 and Titus 1:16. We pray as Jesus taught in Matthew 6:13 to deliver us from evil and as He prayed in John 17:15 that the Father would keep you all from the evil one.

We thank God that you have received His discipline and instruction with humility, for whom the Lord loves He corrects as in Hebrews 12:6 and Proverbs 3:11-12 and Deuteronomy 8:5, and for His chastening that we may not be condemned with the world in 1 Corinthians 11:32. We pray for your ongoing training of your son in Bible stories, that from infancy he may know the holy Scriptures which are able to make him wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus and are profitable for teaching and training in righteousness in 2 Timothy 3:15-16, and that you will diligently teach them as you sit and walk and lie down and rise up in Deuteronomy 6:7, bringing him up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord and not provoking him to anger in Ephesians 6:4. We pray for mutual respect and honor in the household that children would obey their parents in the Lord and honor father and mother that it may be well with them in Ephesians 6:1-3, and that your home would be marked by prayer, worship and song.

We are encouraged that you are asking all of this in Jesus' Name, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father, as Jesus said in John 14:13, whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son, and in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. We hold fast to the promise that the king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses, He turns it wherever He desires in Proverbs 21:1, and that all the promises of God are Yes and Amen in Christ in 2 Corinthians 1:20.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we thank You for Your fellowship with Your Son and the fellowship You offer us through the blood of Jesus. Pour out Your oil of gladness upon this father and his son, grant them joyful, consistent fellowship and a scheduled time together that honors You, let their time be full of laughter that is wholesome and pure, cheerful hearts, and the joy of the Holy Spirit. Turn hearts toward one another, heal what has been broken, and draw this wife and mother into peace with You through faith in Jesus Christ, give her a true understanding of trials and of Your adopting love. Guard this family from deception, from evil people and imposters, keep them from the evil one, establish them and make their way pure by Your Word. Grant to this father and to his wife and son and to us all faith and patience to inherit the promises in Hebrews 6:12, help us to ask believing and to receive according to Your will as in Mark 11:24, trusting that without faith it is impossible to please You in Hebrews 11:6. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We hear how deeply you long for real fellowship and joy in your home, connection that is warm and unforced, laughter that heals, and steady time with your son where hearts can turn toward each other again.

That desire for a scheduled, peaceful rhythm for video time makes sense. When communication has been strained, waiting without a clear pattern can be very hard on a father and on a child. One small step that has helped others in a similar place is to make a simple, consistent, gracious invitation in writing for a regular time, keeping the focus on the boy's comfort and stability, and to invite a trusted pastor or wise counselor to help carry the conversation if direct communication keeps breaking down. It does not force an outcome, but it keeps the door open in a calm, loving way while you continue to seek wisdom.

We also hear your prayer for protection and for peace for all three of you. We are asking with you for discernment, for patience as you wait, and for the kind of fellowship that is built slowly through shared time in God's Word, prayer, and ordinary kindness at home.

Father, we bring this dad and his son and his wife before You. You know their names and their needs. Guard each of them from evil and give them clear minds and soft hearts toward You. Provide a peaceful, reliable way for father and son to be together, and fill their time with genuine connection and even laughter. Give this father wisdom, patience, and strength to walk faithfully day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your longing for fellowship and connection, for laughter and a cheerful heart, for protection and peace in your home, is a tender and understandable cry, and it is good that you bring it to the Father who knows what true fellowship is, for as it is written, our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ, 1 John 1:3.

There you are, first of all, to be in communication with the Father and the Son and, secondly, to be reconciled to God by the death of His Son, healed of the awful, soul destroying plague of sin. I am persuaded that as you increase in the knowledge of the Father and of His Son Jesus Christ through the revelation of the Divine Spirit, you will also increase your fellowship with the Father and with His Son. When you look at your dear Lord and Master and think of the Father and the Son planning and working with heart and soul for the salvation of the chosen, does not your heart feel intense sympathy with the eternal purpose of the Father and the gracious work of the Savior? If so, you are having fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. Agree to that in your heart of hearts and you will be having that fellowship while you are so agreeing.

Out of that fellowship flows the peace and joy for which you ask. You quote rightly that a cheerful heart is good medicine, Prov 17:22, and that Jesus rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, Luke 10:21, and that the Father anointed Him with the oil of gladness above His fellows, Ps 45:7, Heb 1:9. That gladness comes to us from His fullness, John 1:16, and it is kept in perfect peace. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You, Isa 26:3. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within. This peace is a present possession and may be enjoyed in the ordinary circumstances of life, even with sorrows surging round and with loved ones far away, for in Jesus keeping we are safe, and they are safe. Bear your sorrow with Him and then see what peace you will enjoy.

You ask for a turning of hearts toward one another, especially between you and your son, Mal 4:5-6, and for a scheduled time for fellowship together, Eccles 3:1, Acts 17:26. You desire training in Bible stories, Deut 6:7, Eph 6:4, mutual respect and honor, Eph 6:1-3, and to pursue peace and holiness without which no one will see the Lord, Heb 12:12-14, with purity of heart that we may see God, Matt 5:8. These are right and biblical desires. The Lord is the better Father than the best of fathers could ever be to the best beloved of sons, and He says, I will be a Father unto you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. Trust your heavenly Father as a child, for your heavenly Father knows what you require, and you may leave it all to Him. Continue to pray, to worship, to sing, and to teach your son diligently as you have opportunity, whether that opportunity be given through a regular time of video or in such other ways as Providence allows. A king's heart is as channels of water in the hand of the Lord, Prov 21:1, and He turns it whatsoever way He will, in His time and wisdom.

Concerning the three of you and your desire for peace, I must speak plainly and lovingly as a minister of the gospel. Our only peace with God, and therefore our only true peace with one another, is through salvation by Jesus Christ alone, for He is the God of Peace and He has, on His part, prepared everything that is necessary for a perfect reconciliation through the work of His Son. The work of salvation was done forever and on God's part there is nothing now to be removed in order that all who trust His Son may be at perfect peace with Him. He has committed unto us the word of reconciliation because we can speak from experience of the joy which this reconciliation brings. Therefore my first prayer for her, for you, for your boy, and for all who are dear to you, is that each one may be at peace with God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Rom 5:1, for there is no other name by which we are saved and no other ground for adoption into His family.

In that light, I cannot ask God to bless or affirm any relationship or arrangement that departs from His historic and holy ethic, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and both sexual union and living together belong within that covenant alone. What God calls holy we must call holy, and what He calls sin we must call sin, trusting that His commands are for our good. If there has been sin, deception, or evil influence, as you fear, Matt 24:4, 1 Cor 8:1, Zeph 3:13, 2 Thess 3:3, then the gracious call is to repentance and to be washed in the blood of Christ, for once in the history of the world has the Son of God appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself, and when the Father sees His Son bearing our sin upon the cross, it makes such an infinite impression upon His great soul that He remembers our iniquities no more, Isa 43:25. To put such as we were in the same testament with His own dear Son and then to say, I will receive them graciously and love them freely, this is surprising grace.

You mention wisdom, James 1:5, Col 1:9, Phil 1:9-10, and the clause of peace in 1 Cor 7:15. Seek that wisdom not alone but with the counsel of faithful pastors and elders who know you, who can open the Scriptures with you and weigh what faithfulness requires in your particular case. Do not hasten toward separation, for the Lord hates the breaking of covenant and delights in reconciliation, and the privilege of perfect restoration is proffered to you in the gospel. When the prodigal son came back and his father had kissed him, he was to his father as if he had never gone away. His father had him once more at home and loved him as much as if he had never grieved him in all his life. Did not the father give joy to the returned prodigal? There was music and dancing and they began to be merry. And God will rejoice over a poor soul that has wandered far from Him, but at last returns, and the poor soul shall be happy too.

So I pray with you that the Lord would deliver each of you from deception, from sin, from evil influences and evil persons, from temptation and the evil one, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, and keep you from the evil one indeed. I pray that He would grant you protection from imposters and flatterers, Prov 30:8, 2 Cor 11:26, 2 Tim 3:5, 13, Tit 1:16, and that He would discipline you in love as a Father, Job 5:17, Deut 8:5, Prov 3:11-12, Ps 119:67, 1 Cor 11:32, Heb 12:6, Rev 3:19, not to harm you but to make you partakers of His holiness.

Remember Peter's restoration. Peter was down, but he was soon up again. It was brought about by two outward means, the crowing of the cock and a look from the Lord. The Lord turned and looked upon Peter, and that divine look did the deed. That look severed Peter from the crowd. Though the Lord's children go into the far country, they each one in due time say, I will arise and go to my Father. It is not every prodigal that returns but only the prodigal son, and in due time the son returns to the Father's house. If any of us have been falling back and especially if we have wandered into sin, we may get such a restoration from the Lord Himself that we may become better Christians ever afterwards. Till Peter had received from the Lord's own mouth abundant assurance of his restoration by the threefold charge to feed the sheep and lambs, we do not find him again in the forefront. So wait upon the Lord for that restoring word.

Therefore, let us ask in Jesus name, John 14:13-14, thanking Him in advance, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, that He would grant to you, to her, to him, and to all of you, the faith and patience that you might inherit the promises, Heb 6:12, the promises that are Yes and Amen in Jesus, 2 Cor 1:20. May the Father deal with you according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, and may He keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed upon Him. May He guard your son, draw each heart to Himself, and make your home, whether together or apart as Providence orders, a place where Christ is honored, where holiness is pursued, where prayer and the Word dwell richly, and where the joy of the Lord is your strength.

And let us magnify the Father who spared not His own Son, but freely delivered Him up for us all. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. To Father, Son and Holy Spirit be glory forever and ever. Amen.
