Fellowship, Connection 🌉 Blessing, Protection and 💞 Love, 1 Jn 1:2-3, Fun & Laughter, Prov 17:22, Training in Bible Stories, 2 Tim 3:15-16, Deut 6:7, Eph 6:4, Mutual Respect & Honor, Eph 6:1-3, Pursue Peace and Holiness without which No One Will See The Lord, Heb 12:4, Pure in Heart See GOD, Matt 5:8...

Dear Father, You know what it's like to have true fellowship with Your Son, Matt 11:27, and Jesus, You with with the Father, John 10:15. I would like to have a scheduled time to video with my son. Please soften the heart of the mother so she does not consume my evenings waiting for her calls in her mornings, only to call and say the boy is sleeping. If it would be better to talk during her evenings and my mornings, please help her suggest it, and help me adjust my schedule. Turn our hearts toward one another, especially the boy and I, Mal 4:5-6 and help the three of us have a relationship of peace, 1 Cor 7:15. Deliver her from deception, Matt 24:4, sin, 1 Cor 8:1, evil influences, Zeph 3:13, evil people 2 Thes 3:3, and the evil one, Matt 6:13.

Please LORD, a king's heart is as channels of water in Your hands -- You turn it whatsoever way You will, Prov 21:1. Kindly do the same for her, turn her from the dangers of unforgiveness, Matt 18:34-35, the deceitfulness of sin, Heb 3:13, hardness of heart, Rom 2:5, and bitterness, rage and anger expressed in passive aggressiveness and silence, especially during the phone calls where I ask my son, "what are did you do today that was fun?" "Or what's your favorite thing to do?"

Keep her from the evil one, Jn 17:15, and I ask the same for myself, I repent of anger and impatience brought about by not being a fruit inspector, for marrying hastily to avoid sin, and for the amount of emotional and spiritual upheaval it has caused in my life by marrying an unbeliever. I forgive myself , Luke 1:77, 1 Jn 1:9, and am now praying for protection from evil people and imposters, Prov 30:8, 2 Cor 11:26, Tim 3:5, 2 Tim 3:13, Tit 1:16, etc. Grant me and all of us the faith and patience that I might inherit the promises, Heb 6:12, the promises that are Yes and Amen in Jesus, 2 Cor 1:20, as we ask in Jesus' Name, thank You, Mark 11:24.

We join with you in bringing this heartfelt desire for fellowship and connection before our Father, and we hear your longing for blessing, protection, love, laughter and fun with your son. Your desire reflects the heart of God for a father to train up his child in the way he should go. We pray with you for that scheduled, consistent time to video with your son, for mutual respect and honor, and for the pure and holy fellowship that comes from walking in the light together.

We are encouraged that you have anchored your prayer in Scripture. Indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ, 1 John 1:3, and a cheerful heart is good medicine, Prov 17:22. You desire to train your son in the sacred writings which are able to make him wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus and are profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 2 Tim 3:15-16. This is the very calling God gives to fathers, you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, Deut 6:7, and do not provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, Eph 6:4. Children are called to obey their parents in the Lord and honor their father and mother, Eph 6:1-3, and we pray that this mutual honor would grow between you and your son.

We also hear your pain regarding the mother of your son and the waiting, the uncertainty, and the disappointment when you ask your son what he did today that was fun or what his favorite thing to do is and are met with silence or distance. We pray with you that God would turn hearts toward one another, remembering the promise that He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, Mal 4:6. We ask the Lord to grant a peaceful and workable rhythm for communication, whether it be your evenings or your mornings, and to soften hearts so that a reliable time can be established and kept. We pray that He who holds the king's heart in His hand as the watercourses, He turns it wherever He desires, Prov 21:1, would also work in her heart to incline it toward peace and cooperation.

We lift up your repentance before the Lord and we affirm it. You have rightly recognized that marrying hastily and being unequally yoked with an unbeliever brings deep spiritual and emotional upheaval. The Scripture warns us do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity, 2 Cor 6:14. While it is honorable to desire to avoid fornication, for it is written it is better to marry than to burn, 1 Cor 7:9, that desire must be guided by wisdom and discernment, inspecting fruit, for by their fruits you will know them, Matt 7:16, and by waiting upon the Lord and seeking a spouse who is a believer in Christ with whom you can pursue holiness together. We encourage you to continue to walk in repentance, for if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. Forgiveness does not come from forgiving ourselves but from receiving what God has already accomplished through Jesus, who came to give knowledge of salvation to His people in the remission of their sins, Luke 1:77. Receive His forgiveness fully and walk in it without condemnation.

We also gently address the bitterness, rage, anger, passive aggressiveness and silence that you have experienced and at times wrestled with yourself. We are called to pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord, Heb 12:14, and blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God, Matt 5:8. Unforgiveness, the deceitfulness of sin, Heb 3:13, and hardness of heart, Rom 2:5, are dangers that harden us and keep us from the freedom Christ gives. We pray that both you and the mother of your son would be delivered from deception, for Jesus said watch that no one leads you astray, Matt 24:4, and from evil influences and evil people, for the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, 2 Thess 3:3, and keep you from evil, John 17:15, and deliver us from the evil one, Matt 6:13. Where a marriage has been broken and an unbelieving spouse chooses to depart, we cling to the word that God has called us in peace, 1 Cor 7:15, and we pray that peace would rule in this co-parenting relationship.

We pray now together for you, for your son, and for his mother.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved and through whom we have access to Your throne, John 14:6, Acts 4:12. We thank You that You know true fellowship within Yourself, that no one knows the Son except the Father, Matt 11:27, and that Jesus knows the Father, John 10:15, and You invite us into that fellowship. Lord, we ask You to establish a protected, consistent, and joyful connection between this father and his son. Provide a scheduled time to video that is honored and guarded, and help both parents to communicate clearly and faithfully so evenings are not consumed with anxious waiting. Soften the mother's heart, turn her from unforgiveness which would deliver one to the tormentors, Matt 18:34-35, and from bitterness and hardness, and grant her and this father deliverance from the evil one and from every evil influence. Turn all three hearts toward one another in love and peace.

We ask that You make this father and son's time together full of laughter, fun, blessing and protection, and make it a time of training in Your Word, that Your joy would be their strength. Help this father to continue in faith and patience to inherit the promises, Heb 6:12, remembering that however many are the promises of God, in Him is the Yes, 2 Cor 1:20. Teach him to walk in the fruit of the Spirit, with love, patience and self-control, and to wait on Your timing, believing that whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and you shall have it, Mark 11:24, according to Your perfect will. Keep this little boy in Your hand, draw him to know Jesus early, keep him from harm, and let mutual respect and honor grow between father and son. We ask all this in Jesus' name, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pursue peace, to be consistent and gentle in your communication about scheduling, proposing a clear alternative time in love and allowing the Lord to work, and to keep praying for the mother of your son not with resentment but with intercession, for love covers a multitude of sins. Remain faithful in prayer, in the Word, and in modeling Christ to your son whenever you have opportunity, trusting that God is able to make even difficult co-parenting a testimony of His grace and holiness.

We have been praying with you over this longing for steady fellowship with your son. Wanting that regular video time, the laughter and fun, the Bible stories, just hearing what he enjoyed that day, is a good and fatherly desire. We can hear how heavy it feels to keep your evenings open waiting for a call only to be told he is already asleep. That kind of uncertainty wears on a heart.

It makes sense you are carrying both hope and hurt right now. The end of a marriage is a deep loss, and finding new patterns, especially when a child and distance are involved, often takes a long time. Your desire for peace among the three of you and for protection over each heart is understandable, and we appreciate your honesty in looking at your own part and asking God for patience.

One small step that sometimes helps with time differences and unpredictable calls is to put a calm, brief proposal in writing. You might offer two specific windows that could work for her evenings and your mornings, keep the tone focused on what is most restful and good for your son, and ask if she would be willing to confirm one regular time each week. Keeping it short, kind and consistent can reduce the nightly waiting and give everyone clearer expectations. If you have a pastor or trusted counselor, sharing the wording with them first can give you extra steadiness.

We are praying for you.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this father and his son to You. You know their love for each other and the distance between them. Grant wisdom and calm as he seeks a steady time to connect, draw their hearts toward one another in peace, guard this boy and both parents from harm, and give this father patience and hope as he waits on You. Lead each step according to Your will. Amen.
