Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your words have reached us, and I want you to know that you have been heard with deep care and sorrow. The weight you are carrying is immense, the loss of your daughter, the long season of instability and hardship, the pain of feeling trapped and unheard in your own home, and the daily exhaustion of caring for your son while your own needs go unmet. It is understandable that you feel hopeless and worn down to very little strength. God sees all of this, even when it feels as though He is far away.
Please hear this, you have not been forgotten. Even in this dark and desperate place, His love for you has not lessened. Scripture tells us that His love has been poured out into our hearts, and that He is faithful. He does not forget His children, even when life has been one loss after another and the way forward cannot be seen. Like those who have gone before us, who trusted Him when circumstances seemed impossible by human calculation, we can bring our emptiness to Him and ask Him to do what only He can do.
I am praying for you and for your son.
I pray that God will comfort you in your grief over your daughter and give you peace that guards your heart. I pray that He will lift the heavy burden of exhaustion you feel in body and spirit, and renew your strength day by day. I pray that He will make a way where you cannot see one, providing for your needs for stable finances, for transportation, and for a peaceful home where you and your son can be safe and have rest. I pray for your son's healing after his surgery on his Achilles, and for grace and wisdom for you as you care for his needs related to autism, muscle spasticity, and PANDAS. I pray that God will bring you support from people who will listen with kindness and help you carry this load, and that He will bring healing where there has been conflict and hurt in family relationships.
I also pray that in the midst of all you are suffering, you will know how near He is, that He is your protector and provider, and that He will remind you daily that you are seen, loved, and not forsaken. Even when thanksgiving feels impossible, God honors the honest heart that turns to Him in pain, and He crowns with mercy those who keep calling upon Him.
You are not alone in this. Keep crying out to Him, keep asking for His help, and allow others around you to come alongside you if you can. If you have a trusted pastor, counselor, or local church, please let them know how deeply you are struggling so they can support you and your son in practical ways as well.
May the Lord give you strength for today, hope for tomorrow, and the quiet assurance that He is holding you and your son in His hands.
