Feeling attacked from all sides

Nymierilance

Disciple of Prayer
I am a Christian believer and would appreciate your prayers as I have been struggling with several health issues for the past year, and it has started to take a significant toll on me emotionally as well. It started around the 4th week of December 2025. My hair has been shedding severely since then (avg 200 strands/day; hair wash days >200; my volume has reduced drastically). I can see visible thinning in my scalp and remove bunches of hair when I just touch my hair which keeps me in a constant state of panic. I have developed so much anxiety around it that I am scared to even touch or comb my hair. I wake up most mornings to find hair all over my pillow, sometimes with strands still caught at the ends, and this has become a major source of distress for me. I also have persistent acne on my face and back, including painful, deep breakouts that continue to appear. My sleep has also been disturbed throughout this period. On several days, I wake up around 3 or 4 a.m. and struggle with disrupted sleep. I feel like my body and mind have been in a constant state of stress. When I went to the dr took the tests by Mar 2026, my blood tests showed elevated thyroglobulin antibodies and inflammation in my body, for which I was prescribed supplements and am taking them regularly since Apr 2026. I have consulted three different doctors regarding these issues, but despite following their advice and making efforts to improve my lifestyle, I have not seen any noticeable improvement. The lack of progress has made me increasingly worried that there is no visible end to what I am going through. Alongside all of this, I am also dealing with personal pressures. I am female, single, in my early 30s and feel constant pressure around finding the right partner and figuring out my future. Since the last two years, a member of the family has been oppressing me and made me feel so insecure. It is hard to believe that they are also Christian and go to church regularly. I have many questions – Why would God see all this and remain silent? When will God deliver? Will he? Can you kindly pray for me.

We have read your request with heavy hearts and we are standing with you in prayer, lifting you up together before our Father in Jesus' name. We hear how attacked and overwhelmed you feel from all sides, with your body struggling for many months, your mind in constant stress and panic, your sleep broken, and your heart carrying deep questions about God's silence and your future. The Lord sees every tear and every strand of hair that falls, and He is not distant from your suffering.

The Word tells us The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. We know that even the hairs of your head are all counted Luke 12:7, how much more does He care for you as His daughter, fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14. Your distress over the severe shedding since December, the visible thinning, the acne and inflammation, and the waking at 3 or 4 a.m. is not hidden from Him. He understands the anxiety that makes you afraid to even touch or comb your hair, and He invites you to cast your burden upon Him.

We want to encourage you that God is not silent even when He feels silent. His timing is not ours, and His deliverance is sure even when progress feels invisible. For we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28. We also remember Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Your elevated antibodies and inflammation, and the lack of improvement despite seeing three doctors and faithfully taking supplements since April, must be deeply discouraging. We encourage you to continue to steward your body wisely and to keep following sound medical counsel, for the Lord often works through physicians and treatment, and we pray He will give your doctors wisdom and guide them to the root cause and to healing. We claim His promise But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord Jeremiah 30:17.

We also hear your anxiety and the constant state of panic and stress you describe. We gently rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that has taken hold, for God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We encourage you to bring every worry to Him in prayer, for He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. When you wake in those early morning hours, we encourage you to turn that broken sleep into a moment to cry out to Him, for when my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I Psalm 61:2. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28.

Regarding the family member who has been oppressing you and making you feel insecure, we grieve that this has come even from one who professes Christ and goes to church regularly. We are reminded that not everyone who claims faith walks in love, and the Lord calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven, while also seeking wisdom and healthy boundaries. We pray for that family member's heart to be convicted and softened, and for the Lord to be your defender and refuge when you feel insecure and oppressed.

We also lift up the pressure you feel as a single woman in your early 30s regarding finding the right partner and figuring out your future. We understand the weight of that longing and the cultural pressure around you. We pray that you will find your security first in Christ, and we encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of godly marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as outlined in the Bible, rather than simply seeking a partner or relationship. We pray for a godly husband who is a Christian believer who will love you as Christ loved the church, and for a marriage that honors God, if it is His will for you. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. We encourage you to remain pure and to seek a spouse who shares your faith and commitment to Christ, trusting that God's timing for your future is perfect and that He has not forgotten you.

You asked why God would see all this and remain silent, when will He deliver, will He. We want to gently remind you that our access to the Father and our hope of deliverance is only through the name of Jesus Christ. You identified as a Christian believer, which we rejoice in, and we want to affirm that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved Acts 4:12. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5. Jesus himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. If you have placed your trust in Jesus' death and resurrection for the forgiveness of your sins, you can come boldly before His throne knowing He hears you, even when answers seem delayed.

We now pray together for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together and lift up our sister to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see her suffering since December, the hair loss that has stolen her peace, the acne and inflammation, the broken sleep, the constant stress and panic. We ask You to touch her body and bring healing and restoration according to Your will. Calm her nervous system, regulate her sleep, heal the inflammation and thyroid antibodies, restore her scalp and skin, and give wisdom to her doctors. Lord, quiet her anxious thoughts with Your perfect peace and help her to cast all her worries on You. Comfort her when she wakes in the night and let her feel Your presence near. Deliver her from the oppression she has endured in her family, heal the wounds of insecurity, and be her defender and shield. Father, we ask You to gently lead her future, guard her heart as she waits, and if it is Your will, bring a godly Christian man to be her husband in a marriage that honors You, keeping her pure and hopeful in the waiting. Above all, assure her that You have not forsaken her and that You are working even now. Strengthen her faith to trust that You will deliver in Your perfect time and that Your grace is sufficient for her, for Your power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9. Let her know she is deeply loved and held by You. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our healer, amen.

We were so moved to read what you have been carrying since December. Waking to hair on your pillow and feeling afraid to even touch or comb your hair, dealing with painful breakouts and broken sleep at 3 or 4 in the morning, and still trying to keep up with daily life would leave anyone feeling worn down and on edge. It makes sense that the lack of clear improvement, even after seeing three doctors and faithfully taking supplements since April, has left you wondering when relief will come, and why God seems quiet.

The pressure you feel in your early thirties about partnership and the future, plus feeling oppressed and insecure by a family member, only adds weight when your body already feels under strain. Please know you are not forgotten in this.

One gentle next step that may help is to keep your medical team closely in the loop about what is still happening, especially the ongoing shedding, the sleep disruption and the anxiety it brings, so they have the full picture as they care for you. Alongside that, it can help to have one safe person, a pastor or counselor you trust, to talk with about the family dynamic and the pressure you feel, so you are not carrying it alone.

Father, in Jesus name we bring our sister to You. You see her body, her sleepless nights, her worry and her questions. Give her rest, steady her heart, grant wisdom to those caring for her, and remind her day by day that You are near and You hear her. Amen.

Your trial has been laid before us and we have heard the weight of it, the shedding of hair day by day and the distress it brings when you touch your head or wake to find strands upon your pillow, the painful breakouts that will not leave you, the broken sleep that wakes you at three or four in the morning, the weariness that has settled upon body and mind since the fourth week of December, the blood tests in March that showed elevated thyroglobulin antibodies and inflammation and the supplements you have faithfully taken since April without yet seeing the relief you hoped for after seeking help from three doctors, together with the pressure you feel as a single woman in your early thirties concerning a future partner and the oppression you have suffered these two years from a member of your own family.

You ask why the Lord should see all this and remain silent, when He will deliver and whether He will at all. Let it be said plainly that His ear is not shut and His arm is not shortened. The thought that you might spread your griefs to the pitiless sea for God will never move is an arrow often shot at the afflicted, but it is not the truth. The believer may say, The Lord has chastened me sorely, but He has not given me over unto death. There is not a more profitable instrument in all God's house than the rod, and though it is grievous, it is in a Father's hand. A sight of God's hand in a trial is the end of rebellion against it, and by His grace there is a limit to the force, the sharpness, the duration and the number of our trials. If God appoints the number ten, they never can be eleven. He will come to our deliverance in the time of trouble, and no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

You speak also of constant panic and anxiety, fearing even to touch or comb your hair, waking in dread. Have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. You have nothing to do with the outcome, dear soul, that is His business and yours to do the right thing and then be no longer anxious about it, but leave the result with God. The Lord knows your frame. He sees the inflammation, the thinning, the sleepless nights, the oppression that Egypt may very fairly represent, those states of sorrow and oppression into which His people come far too frequently. Yet it remains true, He brought them forth. They did not share the honor of their deliverance with Him, but willingly as they were to move, it was still true, He brought them forth. Therefore He makes deliverance effectual. This deliverance came when the Lamb was slain, and the same blood of Jesus Christ, God's dear Son, which cleanses us from all sin, secures that no charge shall stand against His elect.

The clock of mercy strikes in heaven the hour and moment of deliverance, for the time has been decreed by Him. Child of God, does the sea roll before you tonight, are you in extreme distress, do you cry with your voice unto God, then expect deliverance from Him. You shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. If we had no troubles, we would all have less to declare. He has taught you from your youth, and though you are chastened, you are never cast out, you still continue as His pupil, and He will make you also to declare His wondrous works, sometimes with the pen and sometimes with the voice, when He lifts you up.

Concerning the pressures you feel about marriage and the future, we would point you to the Lord's good design, that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that all intimacy belongs within that covenant alone. Do not go limping along under the weight of anxious ambition and indecision, but seek first to walk uprightly before Him, trusting Him with the path ahead, whether He leads you to such a covenant or calls you to serve Him in singleness for a season. Leave the provision of a godly partner, if it be His will for you, in His hands, and do not be conformed to the haste or oppression of others.

We will pray for you, and we ask you to continue under the care of your physicians and to walk in the wise stewardship of your body as you have been doing.

O Lord, our Father, look upon this Thy daughter who is cast down and tossed with many afflictions. Thou hast seen her tears, her sleepless nights, the sorrow over her health, the fear that rises with each day. Have mercy upon her and let her know that Thou hast not forgotten her. Comfort her heart, quiet her anxious thoughts, and give her sleep that is peaceful. Lay Thy healing hand upon her body, and give wisdom to those who care for her, that inflammation may be eased and strength restored according to Thy will. Deliver her from the oppression she suffers in her own family, and work even in the one who has caused her to feel so insecure, bringing conviction and peace where there is strife. Guard her from despair, and in Thy time bring forth deliverance so that she may say, I have yet to speak on God's behalf, and declare Thy wondrous works. Keep her in purity and hope as she looks to the future, and let her trust be in Christ alone, in whose blood is our only ransom and hope of salvation. Grant her to know that Thou wilt not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly, and that Thou wilt bring her forth with joy. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been heard with care, and I join you in bringing it before the Lord. The weight you describe is real and heavy, months of hair loss that leaves you afraid to touch or comb your hair, waking to hair on your pillow, painful acne on your face and back, broken sleep in the early hours of the morning, lab work showing elevated thyroglobulin antibodies and inflammation, and the discouragement of seeing three doctors and taking supplements faithfully since April without visible improvement. Added to this is the pressure you feel as a single woman in your early thirties about the future and finding a husband, and the pain of being oppressed within your own family by someone who also professes faith. It is understandable that you feel attacked from all sides and that you ask why God seems silent and when and whether He will deliver.

Scripture does not hide that every righteous person must pass through affliction. The Lord loves those He receives and chastens them, not to crush them but to train them. The way that leads to life is narrow, and all who enter it walk through trial. This does not mean your suffering is small or that God is indifferent. It means affliction is not a sign that He has abandoned you. His strength is made perfect in weakness, and He permits what is measured, not beyond what you can bear with His help, so that patience may work in you, and patience may form character, and character may form hope that does not disappoint.

You ask why God is silent. He is not silent, though His answer may not come as quickly or as visibly as you long for. He hears the prayers offered in the night watches when sleep is broken. The night itself can become a time to look to Him, when all is quiet and the soul is more able to pray with a clear mind. Even when deliverance is delayed, He is present in the furnace, and like those who were kept safe in fire, His Spirit can give a dew of refreshment within affliction. That joy does not come from the affliction itself, but from the Holy Spirit who sustains those who suffer for His name and trust in Christ.

The Lord also teaches us not to add the burden of tomorrow to the burden of today. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Anxiety about what will happen next, whether hair will continue to shed, whether healing will ever come, whether a future marriage will happen, only deepens the wound. This is not a rebuke but an invitation to cast each day's care on Him and to thank Him even in affliction, not because affliction is pleasant, but because thankfulness keeps the heart from murmuring and opens it to His grace. We came into this world with nothing and we will leave with nothing, and our hope is not in outward appearance or health or status, but in Christ alone, through whom alone we have salvation and peace with God.

I pray for you now.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, who alone is our Savior and our hope, I lift up this daughter before You. You see her body and her distress, the daily shedding of hair and visible thinning, the painful acne, the inflammation and thyroid antibodies, the broken sleep and constant stress and anxiety. Lord, have mercy and bring healing according to Your wisdom. Guide her doctors, give effectiveness to right treatment, calm her nervous system, restore restful sleep, and quiet fear with Your peace. Teach her to care for her body without panic, and to trust You with what she cannot control.

Lord, comfort her heart. Where she feels insecure and oppressed within her family, set a guard of peace around her, give her wisdom for boundaries, soften the heart of the one who oppresses her, and let truth and love prevail in that home. Where she feels pressure about marriage and the future, give her assurance that her worth is in Christ, not in marital status. If it is Your will, lead her in Your timing to a godly husband and to a marriage that reflects Your design as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, where love is faithful and pure and where intimacy is kept within that covenant. Keep her from loneliness and from hasty choices, and help her to walk in hope and patience.

Father, answer her questions not only with relief but with nearness. Show her that You have not forsaken her, that You hear every prayer, and that You will deliver in Your perfect way and time. Give her joy of the Holy Spirit even while affliction remains, and help her to give thanks in all things and to take no anxious thought for tomorrow, trusting You for today. Build in her patience, endurance and hope through this trial.

I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily, to bring each need to Him in prayer, to remain under faithful medical care, and to stay rooted in Scripture and in fellowship with believers who can walk with you. God is faithful, and He will not leave His work in you unfinished.
