We see in your post a deep reverence for the Lord’s Prayer and the priority of seeking God’s glory first, as Jesus taught in Matthew 6:33: "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." This is a beautiful foundation for prayer, beginning with worship, surrendering to God’s will, and trusting Him to provide for our needs. The structure you’ve shared reflects the heart of a believer who desires to align with Scripture, and we rejoice in that.

However, we must gently address a concern. While your post references Scripture and the Lord’s Prayer, it does not explicitly mention the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only by His blood that we can approach God’s throne with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). Prayer offered apart from Christ is not heard by the Father, for Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you don’t have life in yourselves" (John 6:53). Salvation comes through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone, His death, burial, and resurrection for our sins (Romans 10:9-10). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today, for "now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2).

Now, let us pray together in alignment with the truth of God’s Word:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Savior and Lord. We honor Your holy name and declare that Your kingdom come and Your will be done in our lives, just as it is in heaven. Father, we acknowledge that apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5), and we thank You for the privilege of approaching Your throne through His sacrifice.

Lord, we ask that You provide for our daily needs, both physical and spiritual. Give us this day our daily bread, and help us to trust in Your provision rather than our own efforts. Forgive us our debts, Father, as we forgive those who have sinned against us. Search our hearts and reveal any unforgiveness, bitterness, or pride that hinders our relationship with You (Psalm 139:23-24). Cleanse us by the blood of Jesus and renew a right spirit within us (Psalm 51:10).

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Strengthen us to resist sin and walk in holiness, for "the one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it" (1 Thessalonians 5:24). Protect us from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Clothe us in the full armor of God so that we may stand firm against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:11).

Father, we declare that Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. We surrender our lives, our plans, and our desires to You, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May our lives bring glory to Your name, and may we walk in a manner worthy of the calling we have received (Ephesians 4:1).

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Beloved, as you continue to seek God’s kingdom first, remember that His promises are yes and amen in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). Do not grow weary in prayer, for "the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective" (James 5:16). If there are areas of your life where you struggle to trust God’s provision, whether in finances, relationships, or spiritual battles, bring them before Him in humility and faith. He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

If you are currently in a relationship, examine it in light of Scripture. Is it a courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer? Does it honor God’s design for purity and commitment? If not, we urge you to repent and seek God’s will for godly relationships. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:31), and any sexual intimacy outside of that covenant is sin (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If you are struggling with sexual sin, confess it to the Lord and seek accountability with trusted believers (James 5:16). God’s grace is sufficient to cleanse and restore you (1 John 1:9).

Finally, let us encourage you to meditate on the Lord’s Prayer daily, allowing its truths to shape your heart and mind. As you do, may you experience the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Walk in obedience, and you will see His faithfulness unfold in your life.

It is not a formula to manage God, but a way to reorient our hearts around His name, His kingdom, and His will before we start naming our own burdens.

One thing that helps us is to slow the familiar words down and make each phrase specific. When we pray “give us our daily bread,” we name today’s real need. When we pray “forgive us as we forgive,” we bring to mind the particular person or situation where forgiveness is hard. When we ask for deliverance from evil, we speak honestly about the temptation or danger we feel most exposed to. That turns the prayer into a present conversation rather than something we recite.

Father, we honor Your name and ask that Your kingdom come and Your will be done in our lives. Give us what we need today. This is the true order of prayer. You have set the Father’s glory first, and then our needs; our Lord Himself taught us this in Matthew 6:9-13. To hallow His name, to cry, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven,” is the first breath of acceptable prayer. Our daily bread, our debts forgiven, our protection, all the rest are added when the heart has once bowed before the glory of God.

Do not imagine that the Father’s glory is a cold abstraction. When Moses prayed, “I beseech Thee, show me Thy glory,” God answered, “I will make all My goodness pass before Thee.” The brightest gem in the crown of God is His goodness. So when you pray for daily bread, you are asking from that goodness. When you ask for pardon, you are pleading that same goodness. When you ask to be led from temptation and delivered from evil, you are casting yourself upon the same sovereign, all-conquering grace.

Yet I would have you notice that the prayer is not for yourself alone. It is “forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” This touches our relationship to God and to others. You cannot rightly ask God to remit ten thousand talents while you seize your brother by the throat for a hundred pence. The mercy that comes down to you must flow out through you. Not that your forgiving earns salvation, but it is the mark of one who has tasted the Father’s mercy. See that you treat your fellow debtor with tenderness, for the same Lord who teaches you to ask daily bread teaches you also to ask daily pardon.

Then there is that last petition, “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” This is a prayer for protection. You may be kept from many a snare by being made honest enough to cry, “Lord, I cannot trust myself; hold Thou me up.” The glory of the Lord shall be thy rereward. Old sins will come up behind thee, old habits will marshal themselves for battle, and thou wilt learn what it is to groan, “O wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” Yet thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. The very place where thou wast accustomed to fall shall become the place where grace is seen conquering and overcoming.

Above all, remember the ransom. If ever the pit yawns beneath thee, there is a voice from the excellent glory: “Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.” That ransom is not thy prayers, not thy repentance, not thy tears, but Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who bare our sins in His own body on the tree. God has found a ransom. Here is the fountain of all daily blessings and all protection. Faith sees the Father’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ. If thou wilt believe, thou shalt see the glory of God.

Wait upon Him in prayer. In coming down from thy chamber with thy soul refreshed, say to Him, “Abide with me from morn to eve,” for in that holy communion thou shalt find true protection. And when He answers, take encouragement from past mercies and ask Him ten times as much. His bounty is not exhausted, His arm is not shortened. Go from the glory to the gift, from the gift to the glory, and let the kingdom, the power, and the glory be His forever. Amen.

You have set prayer in its proper order, and this is exactly as the Lord taught us. He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and He tells us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and then all these other things will be added to us.

So Christ teaches us to begin not with our own wants but with the Father. Hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Only after we have lifted our minds to heaven does He allow us to bring forward our human needs, condescending to the weakness of our nature.

For this reason He commands us to ask not for riches nor for luxury nor for costly clothing, but for bread only, and for daily bread, that is bread for one day, so that we do not take anxious thought for tomorrow but learn to trust the Father each day for what is sufficient. And with bread He joins the forgiveness of debts, as we forgive our debtors, and then protection, that we not be led into temptation but be delivered from evil. For all belongs to Him, the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.

Therefore take this prayer as a great weapon. The affairs of every day are a fight and a storm, and the boat is often struck by rocks. We need favorable winds and we need arms, and prayer is that weapon. If at the morning dawn we first make God favorable to us by prayer and supplication, we will go forth to our work with security, and if we pray also at night we will pass the day without shipwreck and without wounds.

I pray with you now that the Father will hallow His name in your life, that His kingdom will rule in your heart and His will be done in all your ways, and that He will give you daily provision, grant you forgiveness as you forgive others, guard your steps from temptation and deliver you from evil, all for His glory through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name we ask it.
