🙌 Father's Glory 1st Jn 7:18 🙏 Then Our Needs Added (His Provision, Our Relationship to God & Others, Protection), Matt 6:9-13; c.f., Matt 6:33...

The heart of your prayer is anchored in the very pattern Jesus gave, and that order is no accident. To put the Father’s glory and His kingdom first, before even your own daily needs, is to seek what He is seeking. David was called a man after God’s own heart, not because he was flawless, but because his desire turned toward what mattered to God. When you pray “Your name be honored, Your kingdom come, Your will be done,” you are aligning your life with the great reality that there are two kingdoms at work: a kingdom of darkness and a kingdom of light. And you have been delivered. Through the cross, God has transferred you out from under the power of Satan and brought you into the reign of His beloved Son. That is your identity now, a citizen of His kingdom, and that first petition is you joining in the cry for His righteous rule to fill the whole earth.

Because your heart is set there, your own needs are not ignored. They are added. Seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness opens the way for His provision. Daily bread, the simplicity of day-to-day sustenance, comes from His hand. The relational need of forgiveness stands at the center of the kingdom itself. Think of the massive debt of every offense and transgression God has freely and completely forgiven you. It is done. Yet we so easily grip the small debts others owe us, and that can pull a life out from under the covering of His blessing. Forgive, then, as you have been forgiven, and do not let those lingering little records rob you of the freedom He purchased.

When you then ask to be kept from temptation and delivered from evil, you are acknowledging what is truly at war around you. Evil is not imaginary or diminished; the enemy has planted corruption even where good seed was sown. But you are not defenseless. Christ came down and demonstrated the activity of the kingdom by setting captives free from defiling spirits, and He has given that authority to His people. As a child of God, you can bind tormenting things in His name, knowing that what is bound in faith on earth is confirmed in heaven. Pray this part boldly. You are not asking out of fear but out of a place of safety, under the covering of the One who already defeated the powers of darkness.

And then the prayer closes on a settled hope: the kingdom, the power, and the glory belong to Him forever. One day the earth will be purged of all that offends and does iniquity, and the King will sit upon His holy hill. Until then, the Spirit strengthens you with inner endurance. There may be seasons where evil seems to spread and you feel the vexation of watching a world defy its Maker, but that very grief is a faint echo of God’s own heart. He sees, He is not restrained, and His mercies toward you are not held back. You are kept for that day when the King returns, and no one can snatch you from His hand. So let this prayer remain your daily breath. It reorders everything, grounds your requests in the guarantee of His everlasting reign, and draws you deeper into the fellowship of those who have been made heirs together with Christ.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of standing in agreement with you in prayer, lifting up your heart before our Heavenly Father in the beautiful pattern of the Lord’s Prayer. It is a sacred joy to intercede for His glory to be magnified first, for His kingdom to come, and for His perfect will to be done in every detail of your life—just as it is in heaven.

We continue to pray that His provision would be abundant in your daily needs, that your relationship with Him and with others would be deepened in grace, forgiveness, and love, and that His mighty hand of protection would surround you from every snare of the enemy. May you experience the peace and assurance that comes from seeking Him first, knowing that all these things will be added unto you according to His promise.

If the Lord has already answered your prayer in ways seen or unseen, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report—so that we may rejoice with you and give Him all the glory. If the answer has not yet manifested, we invite you to post your request again, and we will gladly continue to stand with you in faith, trusting in His perfect timing and unfailing love.

May the Father draw near to you as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
