We see in your post a deep reverence for the Lord’s Prayer and a desire to align your petitions with God’s will, seeking first His kingdom and righteousness. This is a beautiful foundation, for Jesus Himself taught us to pray in this manner, emphasizing the holiness of the Father, the coming of His kingdom, and the surrender of our will to His. We rejoice that you are lifting up these truths, for they are the bedrock of a life lived in communion with God.

However, we must gently address a concern in the reference you made to 1 John 7:18. The book of 1 John only has five chapters, so this verse does not exist. It is possible this was a typographical error, and we encourage you to double-check Scripture references to ensure accuracy. The Word of God is infallible, and we must handle it with care and precision. If you meant 1 John 5:18, it reads: "We know that whoever is born of God doesn’t sin, but he who was born of God keeps himself, and the evil one doesn’t touch him." This verse speaks to the victory we have in Christ over sin, a truth that is vital as we seek to live righteously before God.

We also want to emphasize the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. While your post concludes with "in Jesus' Name," it is crucial to remember that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If someone does not acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Savior, they cannot approach God in prayer. Salvation comes through faith in Christ alone, repentance of sin, and surrender to His lordship. If you or anyone reading this has not yet placed their trust in Jesus, we urge you to do so today, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

Now, let us lift up this prayer together, aligning our hearts with the truths of Scripture and the will of God:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of reverence and awe, for You alone are holy. Your name is above every name, and we honor You as our Father in heaven. We pray that Your kingdom would come and Your will would be done in our lives, just as it is in heaven. Lord, we surrender our own desires and plans to You, asking that You would align our hearts with Yours.

Father, we ask for Your provision, trusting that You will give us our daily bread. You know our needs before we even ask, and we rest in the promise of Matthew 6:33, that as we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things will be added to us. Help us to walk in faith, not anxiety, knowing that You are our Provider.

We also come before You with humble hearts, asking for forgiveness of our debts, our sins. Lord, search our hearts and reveal to us any areas where we have fallen short. Give us the strength to forgive those who have wronged us, just as You have forgiven us. We pray that You would lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for we know that the enemy seeks to devour us. Guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Father, we declare that Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can approach You. May Your will be done in every area of our lives, and may we walk in a manner worthy of the calling You have placed on us. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God’s face in prayer, studying His Word, and walking in obedience to His commands. Remember that "the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man avails much" (James 5:16). If there are specific needs or burdens on your heart, we invite you to share them, and we will stand with you in prayer, always pointing you back to the truth of Scripture and the sufficiency of Christ.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in that heartfelt prayer, turning first to our Father’s glory and His kingdom. You’ve set the day’s compass where it belongs, on His honor, His will, His provision, and we’re grateful for the reminder. It’s so easy to rush to β€œgive us our daily bread” before we’ve truly calmed our hearts in worship and surrender. You’ve modeled a quiet reordering that we need too.

As you keep praying after that pattern, one thing we’ve noticed in our own lives is how focusing on God’s kingdom first actually lightens the weight of our personal needs. That doesn’t mean the needs vanish; it means we begin to see His hand in the small provisions, in the forgiveness we receive and extend, in the strength not to walk into temptation. The peace comes less from having things resolved and more from being anchored in who He is. So we just want to encourage you to keep leaning into that order, glory first, then bread. You might even find it helpful at times to write out your specific β€œdaily bread” requests right after praying the words of the Lord’s Prayer, as a way of concretely entrusting them to the same Father whose name you’ve just honored. It’s a simple way of living out what you’re already declaring.

Let’s pray together now:

Father, we honor Your name and delight in Your kingdom. May Your will be done in our lives today just as perfectly as it is in heaven. We trust You for daily bread, for the grace to forgive and be forgiven, and for deliverance from every evil. Keep our gaze fixed on Your glory so that every need is met in the wisdom and timing of Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Your prayer is before the throne, and it is a delight to the heart of our Father that you have set His glory first. β€œHallowed be Thy name” is the true beginning of all right petition. When the soul is taken up with the honor of God and the coming of His kingdom, then it is in a fit frame to receive the daily bread and the forgiveness and the deliverance that follow. There is no mistaking the order of that perfect prayer: first the Father’s glory, then the child’s need. Seek first the kingdom, and all these things shall be added unto you.

Come, then, with a full assurance that there is forgiveness. β€œThere is forgiveness with Thee,” says the text, and I would lay that word upon your heart as a balm for every wound. I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. Do not measure the pardon by your own deservings; it is a surprising forgiveness, a full forgiveness, an eternal forgiveness. And it is for you, even for you, if you come with a penitent heart. The debt is cancelled, the handwriting of ordinances is nailed to the cross. Let not the archer of hell shoot his fiery dart and make you doubt it. The forgiveness is with God, and it is in Christ Jesus. There is forgiveness now, at this very moment, and it is as broad as your sin, whatever it may have been.

And as to your daily bread and your deliverance, remember the ransom has been found. He that delivered Israel from Egypt and brought them forth with silver and gold, so that there was not one feeble person among their tribes, will also supply all your need according to His riches in glory. The daily bread may seem a small matter to some, but to the child of God it is a covenant mercy. And the deliverance from temptation, oh, how precious! The Evil One would have you doubt your standing, but the Shepherd will not lose one lamb. Deliverance from going down to the pit is an eternal deliverance. Let this be your song of deliverance, fresh every Lord’s day as you come to the breaking of bread. God’s ear is not shut; He will work deliverance for you.

And as you have asked for forgiveness, so see that you forgive. The most splendid vengeance you can ever have is to do good to them that do you evil. He that has been forgiven much, let him love much. Go your way, then, rejoicing in the Father’s glory, trusting in His provision, and walking in the light of His countenance. Let no despondency hold you; the hour of your deliverance has struck.

You have rightly ordered your prayer, placing the glory of God and His kingdom first. For our Lord taught us to seek first the kingdom and its righteousness, and then all these things shall be added. Your use of the sacred words is wise: to hallow the Name, to long for His kingdom, to submit to His will on earth as in heaven. This is the mark of a soul that despises earthly vanities and aspires to angelic conduct. But note that after these heavenly petitions, Christ condescends to our weakness and bids us ask for bread. Yet not for luxuries or riches, but for daily bread, the nourishment sufficient for the day, that we may not be anxious for tomorrow. For He added "daily" and "this day," that we might seek only necessities and fasten our soul on what is needful.

And when you ask for bread, do not stop at bodily food. The Apostle says that He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will multiply your seed for sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness. This means that when God gives us our daily provision, we are to use it not only for our own sustenance but to abound in every good work, to break bread with the hungry. Do not bind yourself with chains of gold or care for outward adornment, which bring strife and fear and loss. Rather, burst every bond of iniquity by giving to those in need. Let your prayer for daily bread be joined with a resolve to share, that you may store up treasure in heaven.

The petition for forgiveness is no small matter. Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, whose sins are covered. This blessedness is not from the works of the Law but from grace. Yet mark the condition: "as we forgive our debtors." If you hold grudges, you shut the door of mercy against yourself. Forgive from the heart, and your own debts shall be remitted. Let no pride creep in, like the Pharisee who boasted and suffered shipwreck in the harbor. Call yourself unprofitable, and God will lift you up.

You also ask for deliverance from evil. This is the very work of Christ, who came to free us from the curse and to grant us adoption as sons. By His Spirit we cry "Abba, Father." So pray with confidence, yet with fear, lest you be found unworthy of such a gift. Do not seek a life free from every trial; even the Apostle Paul endured stripes, perils, and daily pressures for the gospel. Pray rather that in temptation you may be delivered from the evil one, and that your faith may not fail.

Continue in this prayer with a heart fixed on the kingdom, content with daily bread, forgiving all, and trusting the Father who knows your needs. Adorn your soul with good works, not your body with costly array, for the interior beauty is precious before God.
