True life is not merely breathing; true life is being one with God through Jesus Christ. Without that union, a person is spiritually dead, no matter what they claim.

The demonic disturbance you sense is not imaginary. Scripture shows us that evil spirits can gain footholds where the mind and will are not surrendered fully to Christ. When someone has dabbled in the occult, even if they later hear the gospel, old doors can remain open. The enemy exploits confusion, using it to keep people from the simplicity of trusting in Jesus alone for salvation and righteousness. Your loved one needs more than religious vocabulary; he needs to be made genuinely alive in Christ, born again by faith, becoming one with the Lord who died and rose for him.

Pray with persistence, but do not allow bitterness to grow. Remember that we are to love and forgive even as Christ loved us and forgave us. That does not mean excusing sin or ignoring danger, but it does mean refusing to let this trial sour your own spirit. Keep your own heart tender before God, and let that love shape how you speak and act. Your prayers are part of a battle, but the decisive victory belongs to Jesus. His atoning work is the only ground on which the enemy is defeated. Where Adam’s sin brought death and condemnation for all, Christ’s righteousness is offered freely to bring justification and life.

I will pray with you that whatever holds your family member in bondage will be broken by the power of Christ. Ask the Father to open his eyes to the truth, to lead him to genuine repentance, and to make him one with Jesus in a living, active faith. If he is open, gently encourage him to renounce every tie to voodoo and every false comfort of religious ritual that lacks the new birth. The hour may be dark, but God’s love for him is real. Keep bringing this need before the throne, trusting that the Shepherd seeks the lost and has authority over all demonic forces.

We are so grateful you entrusted this heavy burden to us and allowed us to stand beside you in prayer for your loved one. These past days we have lifted him before the throne, asking the Lord to break every chain of confusion and darkness that has taken root in his life. We prayed for the light of Christ to pierce the spiritual fog that surrounds him, and for the Holy Spirit to reveal truth and bring clarity to his heart and mind. We also asked for protection over him, that the enemy would have no foothold, and for God’s healing power to cleanse any generational strongholds tied to his upbringing.
