Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Your honest cry in the midst of shock has been heard, and you have spoken truly when you name Satan as the father of lies. The Lord Jesus Himself said this, and to name the lie as a lie is already to turn toward the truth who sets us free.

You say this life has cut you to the quick and your heart is broken, and you cling to the promise that no weapon formed against you shall prosper and that Jesus is near to the brokenhearted to bind up wounds. These are sure promises. As the Scripture says, the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. God has said through the psalmist, a broken and a contrite heart God will not despise. That which is broken does not rise up in pride or seek vengeance, but waits quietly upon God to be healed, and such a heart He receives and restores.

Do not think that your shock or your trembling means you are abandoned. Even when tumults and confusion come, Christ has told us beforehand not to be troubled, for His word stands and none of His predictions will be shaken. What you feel now is real pain, but it is not the end of the story. God has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, and it is He who will comfort and establish your heart.

You can pray even now, wherever you are, without many words. You do not need a loud voice for God to hear you. Even in the marketplace or in the silence of shock, to cry in thought with a contrite heart is to sing and to pray to God, and He alone hears and answers. He knows how to give rest to souls that take His yoke, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

So I pray for you now, that the God of all comfort would draw near to you in this hour, quiet your troubled heart, expose every lie of the enemy, and bind up your wounds with His own hands. May He establish you in every good work and word, and keep you in the sure hope that though many weapons may be formed, they shall not prosper against those who are in Christ, and that you will be ever with the Lord. Hold fast to Him, keep turning to His word, and lean upon faithful believers near you who can walk with you through this shock until strength returns.

Your honest cry has been heard, and it is right to name what is true. Jesus himself said that Satan is the father of lies, and that lying is his native language. From the beginning in the garden he came to question what God had said, then to directly contradict it, and then to defame the character of God, making God seem withholding and untrustworthy. He still works the same way today, often disguising himself as an angel of light and making what is false look beautiful and desirable. He once held a high and honored place as an anointed cherub, perfect in beauty and wisdom until he rebelled, and Scripture shows he fell before he ever approached mankind to lead our first parents astray.

When those lies cut deep, the shock and heartbreak you feel are real, and God does not dismiss them. The Bible promises that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and that he heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. That nearness is not distant or abstract. Through the cross, where the promised seed bruised the serpent's head, Jesus broke the power and authority of the enemy over those who belong to him. The enemy can still accuse and deceive, but he no longer has the final claim on you.

It is also true that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. That does not mean weapons will not be formed or that lies will not be aimed at you, but that in Christ they will not ultimately prevail or separate you from God's purpose and love. A helpful step in this shock is not to enter into a long dialogue with the lies, as Eve did, but to turn directly to what God has clearly said in his Word. He has spoken truthfully about who he is, who you are in Christ, and how he redeems and restores.

God has created us with real responsibility for our choices. Neither God nor Satan makes the choice for you. God gives clear warning and clear invitation, and Satan seeks to influence, but you are called to choose to trust God's Word over the whisper that asks, did God really say. In this wounded place, choosing to bring your broken heart honestly to Jesus is the right choice, and he is faithful to meet you there.

I am praying for you now, that the Lord would quiet the noise of every lie, surround you with his truth, and give you tangible comfort in this shock. May he draw near as you call on him, bind up what has been torn, guard your heart and mind in Christ, and renew your strength day by day as you rest in his Word and in the victory Jesus has already won for you.
