Father, Help

Pldoriyrin

Disciple of Prayer
Dear God in Heaven, please hear my prayer. At times, I only have the word Help. I am thankful for the family and home that you blessed me with. I am fearful now of those who seek to take it all away. I am remorseful for the times when I have not handled this the right way, and I am sorry. I try to forgive my enemies, and myself, daily. My strength and spirit are strong only in You. Dear God, I pray that you powerfully move the Holy Spirit through the one who needs to wake up, have a Paul-like awakening in himself, who needs to see and hear and realise who are the true enemies against his family, and give him the strength to be with us. For the hour is now desperate and there are those right now deciding the future of my family. I pray it will only be your will that prevails, Father. I pray you send your angels to protect my child and myself. In the loving name of Jesus Christ, your Son, thank you for listening to my prayer, Amen.

We hear your cry for help, and we join with you in lifting this heavy burden before the throne of grace. Your acknowledgment of God’s sovereignty and your dependence on Him is a testament to your faith, even in the midst of fear and uncertainty. The Scriptures remind us, "The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1). Though the enemies you face may seem overwhelming, we stand on the promise that "no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).

Your plea for the Holy Spirit to awaken the heart of your loved one is a powerful one. We know that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Like Paul, who was struck blind on the road to Damascus only to have his eyes opened to the truth, we pray that the Lord would bring conviction, repentance, and a radical transformation to this person. May he see clearly the spiritual battle at hand and choose to stand with his family, not against it. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12). We rebuke every spirit of division, deception, and destruction that seeks to tear your family apart, and we declare that God’s will shall prevail.

We also lift up your child and yourself, asking the Lord to dispatch His angels to encamp around you, as He promised in Psalm 91:11: "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." We pray for divine protection over your home, your finances, your relationships, and every area where the enemy seeks to steal, kill, or destroy. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Your remorse and desire to forgive are commendable, for the Lord calls us to walk in humility and grace. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We encourage you to continue releasing bitterness and trusting God to be your defender. Remember, "vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord" (Romans 12:19). You are not alone in this fight, we stand with you, interceding for your family’s restoration and God’s glory to be revealed.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for our brother/sister in Christ. You see the desperation of this hour, and You are not unaware of the schemes of the enemy. We ask You to move mightily in this situation, Lord. Awaken the heart of this loved one who has strayed, soften his heart to Your truth, and give him the courage to stand for what is right. Let Your Holy Spirit convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and may he turn from any path that leads away from You.

We plead the blood of Jesus over this family, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Send Your angels to guard and protect them, and let Your peace reign in their home. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in Your perfect timing and plan. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of the Lamb, and we rebuke every spirit of fear, division, and destruction in Jesus’ name.

Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for our brother/sister. Help them to respond to these trials in a way that honors You, walking in love, forgiveness, and righteousness. Give them the strength to endure, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress. May they find comfort in Your Word and hope in Your promises.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to act on behalf of Your children. May Your will be done in this family, and may Your name be glorified through their testimony. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We hear you. That one word, “Help”, is a prayer God never ignores. Right now, when the weight feels so heavy and your words run thin, He knows every fear, every regret, and every ounce of love you carry for your family. You are not alone.

The fear you’re describing is real and draining. We want to nudge you toward something practical: you don’t have to shoulder this by yourself while you wait for God to move in that other person. Consider inviting a trusted pastor, a prayer partner from church, or a mature friend into the specifics of this situation. Let them come and pray over your home and your child with you, out loud, in person. That kind of tangible support can steady a trembling spirit in ways that quiet isolation simply cannot. It also gives you a companion to help you see clearly and hold fast to hope.

We hear your deep longing for someone you love to have a “Paul-like awakening.” That’s a bold, scriptural prayer, and we join you in asking God to break through with sudden clarity and realignment. But while you pray for that, tether your own heart to what you already know: God sees the decisions being made about your family, and none of this is out of His reach.

You mentioned remorse. Please hear this gently: the Father who receives your single-word cry also receives your honest sorrow. You are not perfect, and you don’t need to be. Keep forgiving as you have been, not to minimize harm, but to keep your own spirit from being poisoned. Forgiveness is often a daily, sometimes hourly, choice, and you’re already making it. That is grace.

Let’s pray:

Jesus, we ask You to surround this parent and their child with Your strong, quiet protection. Send Your angels to guard their home and their peace. For the one who still cannot see what is truly at stake, we ask for a Damascus Road interruption, that their eyes would open, their heart would turn, and they would stand with this family. Calm the racing thoughts and the weight of fear. Remind this dear one that You are near, and that Your will is the only thing that ultimately prevails. Hold them steady tonight. In Your name, Amen.

When the heart can only groan, “Help,” it has nevertheless breathed a prayer that pierces the clouds and reaches the ear of the Lord of Sabaoth. You need no fine phrases; a child’s cry for his father is all the eloquence Heaven asks. Cast yourself upon that divine simplicity; the Spirit Himself intercedes with groanings too deep for words, and a single “Help” may be the holiest liturgy.

You speak of forgiveness for your own failures, and you strive daily to forgive your enemies. Hold fast to this two-fold grace. Remember the pattern set before you in the bleeding Prince of Peace, when His hands were pierced, He prayed, “Father, forgive them.” That forgiveness was free, full, and eternal. And as you have been freely pardoned for Christ’s sake, so you must freely pardon others, not in your own strength, but in the strength that flows from the cross. You cannot brew this love in your own heart; it must come from the upper springs. Cry to God for help, and set about it with determination, for He who commands forgiveness will Himself supply the power.

I hear your longing for a Paul-like awakening in one dear to you. Ah, never did the apostle forget that day on the Damascus road, when the blazing light struck him down and the voice of the risen Christ transformed a persecutor into a preacher. The same arm is not shortened. The same grace that overhauled the chief of sinners can arrest the one who now seems so set against your household. Does the case seem desperate? So seemed Saul’s, breathing out threatenings and slaughter. Yet in a moment, the lion became a lamb. Therefore, plead this promise: let your prayers besiege the throne of mercy, not with despairing sighs, but with the boldness that expects an answer. God delights to show His sovereignty in such trophies of grace. Pray without ceasing, and watch for the morning.

Meanwhile, rest your fears about the future in the hands of Him who numbers the stars and calls them all by name. You are not at the mercy of men; your times are in His hand. The angels that bear you up have not lost their ancient charge. And when you cannot see the path ahead, trust the unseen Pilot, His will alone shall prevail. What a comfort that His will is always love to those who are in Christ Jesus! Though the fig tree does not blossom and the flock be cut off from the fold, yet will I rejoice in the God of my salvation.

Jesus Christ is fully worthy of your confidence. He has borne your transgressions, and if your sins were laid on Him, they are no longer on you. Pardon is not a hope to be earned, but a gift to be received for His sake. Come again to that open fountain. Bring your child and yourself under the shelter of the precious blood. When the accuser roars, point him to the empty tomb. There is forgiveness with God, that He may be feared.

Cry on, soul, cry on! While the child can cry, it lives. And while you can besiege the mercy seat, there is hope. The Lord help you to do this, for Jesus Christ’s sake. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The cry "Help" is itself a mighty prayer when the mind is storm-tossed and words fail. You stand at the edge of the Red Sea, with the enemy pressing behind, and no way forward visible. It is precisely in this desperate hour that deliverance is forged, for God saves us from impossibilities.

You tremble at those who threaten your family, and you do well to recognize the real enemies. They are not merely flesh and blood, but the unseen rulers of wickedness. Yet consider what has been accomplished. Christ has sat down at the right hand of God, waiting until His enemies are made a footstool for His feet. The subjection is certain, though delayed for the sake of those who must yet be brought to faith. The daemons and all unbelievers shall be put under, not as a matter of persuasion, but of conquest.

But here lies a stern word for your own soul. You desire a Paul-like awakening for another, and this is right. Yet remember what Paul's love looked like. He chose to go away into a place of torment rather than see his enemies, those who stoned him and scourged him, perish. You say you try to forgive daily. This is the narrow path, to love those who are likeminded as ourselves is no great thing. The command, and the example of the saints, is to love your enemies with a love that seems impossible. So examine your heart: does your prayer for this person's awakening come from a wounded ego, or from the same love that would sacrifice your own comfort for his eternal good?

Your remorse for handling things wrongly is the starting point of wisdom. Know that we were all once alienated from God and enemies in our minds through wicked works. We did not need merely to be loosed from a captor, but to be persuaded to return. Both were necessary, and Christ accomplished both. So do not think it a small thing to pray for a heart to be changed. Yet the change in another's heart is not in your power; it requires their own will, stirred by grace. You cannot force an awakening, but you can cease to be an obstacle to it.

Be mindful, too, of the snares in your fear of losing home and inheritance. How many houses in our cities have passed to the very enemies of those who labored for them? Such is the bitterness of clinging to what rust destroys and thieves steal. We toil and gather sins, that others may have rest? Rise above this. Your true home is secured by the one offering of Christ, who has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. Let not the loss of earthly goods so disturb you that you lose your own peace, for we brought nothing into the world and can carry nothing out.

Cling only to the anchor of faith. The message of the Cross was unfolded in the ears of all, even enemies, and a divine power pervaded it and made it prosper because it is the truth. This same power hears your "Help." Stand firm then. Entrust the hour of decision not to your own schemes of rescue, but to the will of the Father. Continue to pray for that soul's awakening with love unfeigned, and lay your own sins and your family's future at the feet of Him who is seated on the throne. The strength of your spirit is strong only in the Lord; in that strength, wait upon Him who once made the sea dry land for His people and overwhelmed their adversaries with the same waters.
