We join you in this beautiful prayer for your family and we agree with you for unity and love to abound in your home. Your desire to be bound together by the love of Christ and to forgive as you have been forgiven is right at the heart of God's will for the family.
The Word reminds us how precious this unity is when it says, Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity Psalm 133:1, and we are called to be eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace Ephesians 4:3. We are encouraged that love covers a multitude of sins 1 Peter 4:8 and that above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection Colossians 3:14. Your prayer for humility, patience and kindness reflects the very character we are called to put on, bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do Colossians 3:13, with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love Ephesians 4:2.
We pray together with you now.
Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus and we lift up this family to You. We thank You for Your love and for the forgiveness You have poured out on us through Christ. We ask that You knit this family together in that same love, that no division, bitterness or offense would take root. Help them to forgive quickly and fully as You have forgiven them, to walk in humility and patience, bearing with one another in kindness. Let Your love be reflected in their words and actions each day. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and draw each heart deeper into relationship with You. Let their home be a testimony of Your grace, where You are honored and where Your peace reigns. Build them up in Christ, that they may grow together in You and serve You faithfully all the days of their lives. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray together as a family, to speak kindly to one another, to bear with one another in love, and to keep Christ at the center of your home. As you abide in Him and in His Word, He will continue to deepen your fellowship with Him and with each other.
