Family

We come before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up your family before the Lord. It is a sacred privilege to intercede for those whom God has placed in your care, and we join with you in seeking His salvation, healing, and protection over every member of your household.

First and foremost, we must address the foundation of all things, salvation through Jesus Christ. The Bible declares, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). There is no greater gift, no more urgent need than the saving knowledge of Jesus. If there are any in your family who have not surrendered their lives to Him, we pray fervently that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts, draw them near, and open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household" (Acts 16:31). We claim this promise over your family, trusting that God is already at work in their lives.

Healing is another deep cry of your heart, and we stand with you in faith, believing that God is the Great Physician. Whether the healing needed is physical, emotional, or spiritual, we declare that "by his stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). The Lord sees every pain, every struggle, and every burden you carry, and He invites you to cast them upon Him (1 Peter 5:7). We pray that His healing power would flow through your family, restoring what has been broken and renewing what has grown weary. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Protection is a vital plea, especially in a world filled with spiritual warfare and unseen dangers. We take up the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, to stand against the schemes of the enemy (Ephesians 6:16-17). We pray that God would surround your family with His angels, that no weapon formed against you would prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that you would be kept blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:23). "The Lord is your keeper. The Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul" (Psalm 121:5-7).

We also want to gently encourage you to examine the relationships and dynamics within your family through the lens of Scripture. Are there any areas where sin has taken root, whether in the form of unforgiveness, bitterness, sexual immorality, or idolatry? The Bible warns us that "a little leaven leavens the whole lump" (Galatians 5:9), and unrepentant sin can bring division and destruction to a family. If there are struggles with pornography, adultery, fornication, or any other sexual sin, we must rebuke these things in the name of Jesus and call for repentance. "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). If there are same-sex relationships or marriages within your family, we must lovingly but firmly address this as well, for God’s Word is clear that such unions are not in alignment with His design (Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10). Repentance and turning away from sin is the path to true freedom and restoration.

We also urge you to cultivate a home where the Word of God is honored, prayer is a priority, and love, rooted in Christ, is the foundation. "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it" (Psalm 127:1). Make your home a place where the Holy Spirit dwells, where the fruits of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, are evident (Galatians 5:22-23). Teach your children the ways of the Lord, for "train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6).

Let us now lift your family before the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation, knowing that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We lift up this family to You, asking for Your salvation to flood every heart. Draw them to Jesus, Lord, and let none be lost. We pray for healing, physical, emotional, and spiritual, over every member of this household. Touch them with Your healing hand, restore what has been broken, and bring wholeness where there is pain.

We ask for Your divine protection to surround this family like a shield. Guard them from the attacks of the enemy, from harm, from temptation, and from every scheme of the devil. Let Your angels encamp around them, and let Your peace reign in their home. Father, we also ask for repentance where sin has taken root. Convict hearts, Lord, and lead them to turn away from anything that displeases You. Restore relationships, mend what is broken, and let Your love be the foundation of this family.

We declare that this family is Yours, Lord, and that You have a purpose and a plan for each one of them. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and let them walk in the fullness of Your blessings. May they be a light in this dark world, a testimony to Your goodness and grace. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to stand firm in faith, dear one. The battles you face are not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). Put on the full armor of God daily, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). God is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you and your family (Philippians 1:6). Keep pressing into Him, keep praying, and keep trusting. The victory is already won in Christ Jesus.

We join you in bringing your family before the Lord, and it touches us that you’re carrying them all in your heart. When we lift such a wide net of needs, salvation, healing, protection, it can feel enormous, but the simple act of naming them before the Father is already a quiet gift you’re giving your household.

We’ve found that praying for family sometimes gains depth when we get specific, even if only for ourselves. You might take a quiet moment, maybe with a cup of coffee, and let each person come to mind: what does their salvation look like right now? Where do they need healing that they may not yet see? What kind of protection would give you peace about them today? Not to complicate things, but to give your heart a face to love in prayer. And if there’s any chance to pray aloud with one of them, even just a simple blessing over a meal, that can be a quiet seed of grace.

Father, thank you for this dear one who aches to see you move in their family. In Jesus’ name, we ask for salvation to dawn on any who don’t yet know you; for healing, both hidden and visible, to touch bodies, minds, and relationships; and for your strong protection to surround this family, guarding them from every real danger. Give them the courage to keep entrusting these loved ones to you, knowing that you love them even more than we do. Amen.

How precious to hear a soul crying out for salvation, healing, and protection in the name of Jesus! The very throne of grace bends low when a household lifts its voice as one. You have laid hold of the right plea, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. It is Christ Himself who is our salvation, not merely a doctrine, not a ceremony, but a living Person upon whom the soul leans.

You have asked for these things in Jesus’ name, and this is the very essence of faith. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.” To believe on Him is to trust in Him, to leave the whole matter of your salvation with Him in unquestioning confidence. He is the great conduit-head, from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. The least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue; even the leaves of this tree of life are for the healing of the nations. If He can cure the nations, shall He not heal your family? Cast yourselves upon Him, for His honor is engaged to save the meanest of His sheep.

And what is this salvation? It is God’s salvation from beginning to end, planned by His wisdom, purchased by His blood, applied by His Spirit. It delivers from the guilt of sin, and just as surely from the power of sin. This emancipation from bad habits, unclean desires, carnal passions, this is the main point in salvation. Pray then not only for shelter from wrath, but for holiness of heart and life. Let each one in your household seek his own salvation; yet remember how the jailer believed, and all his house rejoiced, for the promise is to you and to your children. The common salvation is for all who believe, the simplest and the youngest. Neglect not this great mercy, but press on in prayer until every member of your family knows the Lord. Then shall your house be a renewed house, and your rejoicing shall be full. Go, and make this salvation known to your children and kin, look unto Christ, live upon Him, and you shall see the salvation of God.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask rightly for salvation, yet take care that you do not suppose the mere utterance of the word is enough. The ransom has been paid, the bonds broken, and the death of the Lord is the salvation of the world. But no one part of virtue suffices. For what if you pray for deliverance, yet are soft and unmanly in trial? What if you long for safety, yet are choked by the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches? The seed of the word must fall on good ground: a careful hearing, a continual recollection, and a contempt for all worldly things. Pray, yes, but let the prayer itself be a life that abandons vainglory, envy, and every clinging sin.

You name also healing and protection. Perhaps you see affliction at the door, or perhaps you seek to keep it far off. Know then that when affliction comes, God works it for your comfort and salvation if you endure it with patience, sharing in the very sufferings of Christ. This is no small dignity: the sufferings of Christ abound in His people. So whatever hardship touches you or your household, receive it not as a mark of wrath but as a medicine for the soul, a sharp grace that cuts away the sickness of sin and makes the hope of salvation shine all the brighter.

Yet do not put off laying hold of this gift. “Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” He who waited for death’s threshold to wash away his charges delayed like a fool when the Healer stood ready without labor of his own. You are not promised tomorrow; the remainder of time is short, and this season alone is given for your salvation. So do not merely hear these things as if hearing could save. Hearing without doing, praying without repenting, asking for protection while loving the world still, these add weight to your sins. Rise up while it is called today, run to the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world, and bring your whole household with you by a faith that works through love.
