Family

We come before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious family before our Heavenly Father. The cry for salvation, healing, and protection rises like incense before the Lord, and we join our voices with yours in fervent intercession.

First, we must address the foundation of our faith, the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If any in your family have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). May they repent and turn to Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). We declare that salvation belongs to the Lord, and we pray that every member of your household would be saved (Acts 16:31).

Father, we ask for healing, spiritual, emotional, and physical, for this family. Your Word declares that by Jesus’ stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise now. Where there is sickness, pain, or brokenness, we ask for Your restoring touch. Where there is division, bitterness, or unforgiveness, we pray for reconciliation and peace. Teach them to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2) and to walk in love as Christ loved us (Ephesians 5:2). If there are generational strongholds or ungodly patterns in this family, we break them now in the name of Jesus and declare freedom through the blood of Christ (Galatians 3:13).

For protection, we plead the blood of Jesus over this family. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we stand on the promise that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and surround them with Your angels (Psalm 91:11). Where there is fear, replace it with Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Where there is doubt, strengthen their faith in Your unfailing Word.

We also lift up the marriages within this family, praying that they would reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). May husbands love their wives sacrificially, and may wives respect and submit to their husbands as unto the Lord. If there are struggles, infidelity, or temptation, we rebuke the enemy’s lies and pray for restoration. If any are unmarried, we pray they would seek godly spouses who share their faith in Christ, for what fellowship has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14). May they not be unequally yoked but pursue relationships that honor You.

Lord, we ask that You would draw this family closer to You and to one another. May they be a light in their community, sharing the hope of the gospel with boldness. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom, discernment, and obedience to Your will. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we stand in agreement for their salvation, healing, and protection.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

It means a great deal to us that you brought this request, praying for salvation, healing, and protection not just for yourself but for your whole family. Bringing the people we love before the Lord together is one of the deepest ways we can care for them, and we're glad to stand with you.

While the overall picture is broad, the fact that you named salvation first tells us where your heart is most anchored. We can pray with confidence because God knows every name and circumstance in your family, and He is able to reach each person exactly where they are. You don't have to carry the weight of their choices alone; your prayer is a real and active part of what God is doing.

One thing that often helps when we carry multiple concerns is to find a simple, sustainable rhythm. Instead of trying to pray for everything at once, it can be grounding to set aside just a few quiet minutes each day and focus on one family member, or one specific need, and name it plainly before the Lord. That kind of steady, small-step faithfulness has a way of deepening our own peace even while we wait. Knowing others are praying alongside you has a way of lightening things, too, and we want you to know we are doing that.

Let's bring these cares to the Lord together now.

Lord Jesus, we lift this family to You. Draw each person to the safety of Your salvation, open their hearts, make the path clear, and let no confusion or hard ground keep the good seed from taking root. Where there is sickness, we ask for Your restoring hand. For every kind of healing needed, body, mind, spirit, we trust Your power and Your timing. Place a strong hedge of protection around each one; guard them from harm, from evil, and from anything that would pull them away from You. And for the one who is praying, give steady faith and a deep sense of Your nearness. We ask all of this in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

You have laid hold of the very heart of God when you cry for the salvation, healing, and protection of your household in the name of Jesus. That name is heaven’s open door, and the prayer of faith shall not be turned away.

Salvation is the first and greatest need. What is this salvation? It is not a set of notions, nor a plan of your own devising, but God’s salvation, devised in infinite wisdom, purchased by the blood of His dear Son, and freely offered without money and without price. The Scripture saith, “Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.” Faith is the simple trusting of the soul upon the Person of Christ. Look unto Him, all ye ends of the earth, and be ye saved. There is nothing for you to bring but your sin and your emptiness. Let your whole weight rest upon Jesus; commit the matter of your soul, and the souls of your family, to Him in unquestioning confidence. This is the faith which saves.

Healing, too, flows from the same tree. The leaves of the tree of life, those little, oft-overlooked things about Christ, are for the healing of the nations. There is not a wound of body or soul so deep that a leaf from this tree cannot cure. The least word of promise, the faintest glimpse of His love, carries a healing virtue that changes the very lifeblood. Bring your sick hearts before Him; the touch of the hem of His garment has power still. And in Heaven, every face that shines with immortal freshness owes its bloom to these healing leaves. Look to Him for the healing of your family’s sorrows, diseases, and inward griefs, for He is the Lord that healeth thee.

Protection is bound up in the same sovereign love. He who is your salvation is a wall of fire round about His people. The everlasting arms are underneath you and yours. Commit them to His keeping; He who has begun the good work will perfect it. And remember, the very essence of salvation is deliverance from sin’s power. If He emancipates your household from evil habits, unclean desires, and carnal passions, that will be the greatest protection of all, for it arms them against the destroyer.

Pray on, and doubt not, for household salvation is a jewel in the Redeemer’s crown. The Philippian jailer believed, and all his house were baptized, rejoicing in God. One member of a family is often used as a spiritual decoy to draw the rest into the gospel net. Let your own joy in God’s salvation be a magnet to those you love. This common salvation is for the blackest and the least likely; the jailer, the hard-hearted, the careless, none are beyond the reach of Almighty grace. Go and make it common; spread the glad tidings in your home.

What more can be said? Jesus Christ Himself is salvation, His Person, His work, His life, His death. See Him and you have seen salvation. There is no other. Keep your eyes on Him, and all the blessings you seek for time and eternity are wrapt up in that one look. Rejoice in God’s salvation, and let your household hear your song.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You do well to pray for the salvation of your household, for this is the very crown of love. To seek healing and protection is natural, but know that the hearing alone is not sufficient for salvation. What if you are free from certain vices, yet are soft and unmanly in trial? What if you hear the word, but the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke it? No one part is sufficient. There must be a careful hearing, a continual recollection, then fortitude, then contempt of all worldly things.

Consider this also: whether we be afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. The sufferings we endure, when borne with patience, work a far greater weight of glory. So if affliction visits your door, do not be confounded as if God had forgotten you. The death of Jesus was the salvation of the world, and our sharing in His sufferings makes us partakers of His comfort. But if you neglect the common salvation and put off a changed life to your latest breath, what hope have you? Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. Do not delay to lay hold of the Gift He freely offers.
