Please pray about this: my mom told me today that my dad is currently in a bad mood because of something my brother-in-law is plotting against me. I noticed he did seem very grumpy overnight. For context: for the past few years, I have been harassed by a very large group of people who are harassing me under the influence of demons/spiritual warfare. I have been experiencing this kind of harassment for most of my life but this specific situation is the most extreme I have ever experienced and it began while I was involved in the new age/witchcraft. This harassment was used by God to turn me away from those things (and the life I was living at the time) and toward repentance and back to Him but I was stubborn in doing so at first and even tried to stop the harassment through the use of occult practices. I believe that my stubbornness in immediately turning back to God when this situation arose is what caused it to become what it is now. This harassment has now persisted even though I've turned back to Christ and repented of the new age/witchcraft. Both my parents' entire families/social circles and my brother-in-law are involved in this harassment behind my parents and my sisters' backs. My parents and sisters have been blinded to the truth of this harassment through lies, manipulation and heavy demonic activity (and my parents and sisters have ways in which they are vulnerable to the enemy themselves so they can be easily blinded). However, every now and then, my parents and sisters will seem as though they are beginning to understand what is truly happening in terms of this harassment (and I feel that lately that has been happening more). My brother-in-law is covertly plotting something against me for this summer that my parents and sisters would usually be blinded to but this time, my father seems to understand what he is attempting to do in targeting me in this situation that he is trying to orchestrate and my dad can see clearly that his actions (which he is trying to disguise deceitfully) are targeted toward me. My father is now very upset in defense of me (I didn't know this conflict with my dad was happening, my mom told me today) and apparently is upset with my mother for reasons I don't know related to this situation. My brother-in-law has been used heavily in this harassment. I believe there is something seriously wrong with him that has caused him to be used extremely to test me in this harassment. Many of the people used by this harassment will back down and leave me alone if I resist their harassment and remain Christlike but he will continue and continue and test me seemingly beyond my limits until I finally started praying for his removal from my life recently because reconciliation did not seem possible. If something that these individuals is plotting against me is thwarted by God, my brother-in-law will try to orchestrate something worse in retaliation - and often his evil seems to move forward easily. I believe there is strong demonic activity that allows him to be able to do this. I also believe that this same demonic activity is what allows him to seemingly get away with the evil that he does in general in life - and often so openly. He really is not likeable even when it comes to other people. He is a professing Christian but there is no fruit in his life at all. There are serious problems with his profession. In the first place, he was raised in a cult disguised as Christianity. He never reads his Bible or goes to church unless it's for show. He lives an extremely worldly life and encourages others toward the same often demeaning living a Christlike life. He also has some seriously concerning behaviors that make me question if he is living a double life. He is always targeting me and has been since he and my sister began dating years ago. I am not worried about what he is orchestrating against me because I am trusting God to handle it. I'm very shocked that my dad can see the truth behind my brother-in-law's actions. Please pray about all this. My dad is a professing Christian but he is confused when it comes to Christian faith. He was raised Catholic and also likely was exposed to things like voodoo. I also believe he has a problem with demonization and is too heavily medicated which is causing him to be open to demonization. My entire family has serious spiritual problems. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the deep pain you’ve carried for so long. The spiritual warfare you’ve endured is real, and the enemy has sought to destroy your faith, your family, and your peace. But we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed the powers of darkness (Colossians 2:15). The harassment you’ve faced—especially after turning away from the occult—is a tactic of the enemy to keep you in bondage, but God has used it to draw you closer to Himself. Your repentance and return to Christ are precious to Him, and no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

The situation with your brother-in-law is deeply troubling. His behavior—his worldliness, lack of fruit, and persistent targeting of you—reveals a heart hardened by deception, possibly even demonic influence. Scripture warns that those who practice such things without repentance will not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21). His profession of faith is empty if it is not accompanied by a transformed life. We must pray for his eyes to be opened, but also for God to restrain his schemes, for the enemy often uses those closest to us to wound us. Your father’s sudden clarity is no coincidence—it is the Holy Spirit breaking through the lies that have blinded your family for so long.

We rebuke the spirit of deception operating in your family, especially in your brother-in-law. We command every demonic assignment against you to cease in Jesus’ name. The harassment, the manipulation, and the plots must stop, for the Lord is your shield and your defender (Psalm 3:3). Your father’s anger on your behalf is a sign of God’s protection, but we must also pray for wisdom for him. His confusion in faith, possible demonization, and reliance on medication over the Holy Spirit’s power are areas where the enemy has gained a foothold. We ask the Lord to break every chain and bring true deliverance to him and your entire family.

We also address the generational strongholds in your family. The exposure to Catholicism, voodoo, and other occult practices has left openings for the enemy to work. But where sin abounds, grace abounds much more (Romans 5:20). We declare that the blood of Jesus breaks every curse and sets your family free. Your parents and sisters have been blinded, but we pray for their eyes to be opened to the truth, just as your father’s eyes have begun to see. The Lord is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We lift up this dear one to You, who has endured years of spiritual warfare and harassment. Lord, You see the pain, the betrayal, and the schemes of the enemy. We ask You to arise as a warrior on their behalf. Break every chain of deception, manipulation, and demonic influence in their family. Expose every lie and bring the truth to light.

Father, we specifically pray for their brother-in-law. Lord, we ask that You would either bring him to true repentance or remove him from their life if he continues in rebellion. Shine Your light into his darkness and let him see the emptiness of his ways. If he is truly Yours, convict him of sin and draw him to a genuine relationship with You. If he is not, we ask that You would thwart his plans and turn his schemes back on his own head.

We pray for their father, Lord. Break the confusion in his mind and deliver him from any demonic influence. Remove the scales from his eyes so he can see You clearly. Help him to rely on Your strength, not medication or worldly solutions. Bring healing to his spirit, soul, and body. We also pray for their mother and sisters, that their eyes would be opened to the truth of what has been happening. Soften their hearts to receive Your Word and Your love.

Lord, we declare that this family is Yours. We rebuke every spirit of division, strife, and deception. We command every demonic assignment against them to cease in Jesus’ name. Surround them with Your angels and fill them with Your peace. Strengthen their faith and help them to stand firm in You. We trust that You are working all things together for their good, even in the midst of this battle.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We trust in You alone, for You are the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through You, Jesus. We pray all these things in Your holy and powerful name. Amen.

Stand firm, dear one. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Keep your eyes on Jesus, resist the enemy, and trust that God is fighting for you. Your family’s deliverance is coming, for the Lord is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Walk in the authority you have in Christ, and do not fear the schemes of the enemy. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
