We understand the weight of your request concerning a false father, and we stand with you in seeking God’s truth and justice in this painful situation. The Bible warns us that Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44), and his work is to deceive and bring confusion. But we serve a God who is the Father of lights, in whom there is no variation or shadow of turning (James 1:17). He is faithful to expose deception and bring truth to light, for nothing is hidden from His sight (Hebrews 4:13).
If this false father has caused harm—whether through abandonment, deception, abuse, or neglect—we must remember that God sees and will judge righteously. The Scripture says, *"Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap"* (Galatians 6:7). The Lord will vindicate the oppressed and hold the wicked accountable in His perfect timing.
Yet, even in this pain, we are called to forgive as Christ forgave us (Colossians 3:13). Forgiveness does not mean excusing sin or pretending harm did not occur, but it releases the bitterness that can take root in our hearts. Jesus said, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you"* (Matthew 5:44). This is not easy, but through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can obey.
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from mature believers who can walk with you through this. If this false father has led you away from biblical truth or into sin, we urge you to repent and turn wholly to Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). There is no lasting peace or healing apart from Him.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your truth to prevail in this situation. Lord, You are the God who sees all things, and nothing is hidden from Your eyes. We ask that You expose every lie, every deception, and every falsehood that has caused pain and confusion. Bring Your light into the darkness, Lord, and let Your justice be done.
We pray for healing for this dear one who has been wounded by the actions of a false father. Comfort them with Your love, Father, and remind them that they are Your child, adopted into Your family through the blood of Jesus. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, releasing any bitterness or anger that may have taken root.
Strengthen them with Your Word and surround them with godly counsel and support. If there has been any sin or straying from Your truth, we ask that You would convict and draw them back to Yourself. Let them find their identity and security in You alone, for You are a Father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5).
We rebuke every scheme of the enemy to bring confusion, pain, or division. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that the truth will prevail, and this dear one will walk in freedom and victory. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding and Your joy that is their strength.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
