False prophets spreading lies about me

Evil satanic false "prophets" have been spreading a lot of lies about me on social media. I married my husband ### in ###, but these wicked people are falsely accusing ### and I of living in sin and not being married. They are also spreading other malicious false accusations and lies about me to people and on social media. They refuse to stop lying even when corrected. Please pray for Jesus to give me wisdom on how to deal with these hateful demonic people and their lies.

We hear your cry and we stand with you in this painful trial, seeking the Lord together in Jesus name for wisdom, vindication and peace. It grieves us that you and your husband are being slandered by those who claim to speak for God while speaking lies, and we affirm with you that your marriage covenant made before God is holy and honorable. Marriage is to be held in honor among all and the marriage bed undefiled, as it says in Hebrews 13:4, and we rejoice that you have entered into that lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as God designed.

God sees the truth when others do not. He hates false testimony and lying, for you shall not give false testimony against your neighbor in Exodus 20:16, and a false witness will not go unpunished and he who utters lies shall not escape in Proverbs 19:5. Every lying tongue is an abomination to the Lord but those who do truthfully are His delight in Proverbs 12:22. The Lord warns us to beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravening wolves in Matthew 7:15, and to test the spirits whether they are of God because many false prophets have gone out into the world in 1 John 4:1. These people by their persistent lies and refusal to repent when corrected show they are not speaking by the Spirit of God.

We also remember the words of Jesus, blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for my sake in Matthew 5:11. Having a good conscience, that while you are spoken against as evildoers, they may be disappointed who curse your good way of life in Christ in 1 Peter 3:16. No weapon that is formed against you will prevail and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment in Isaiah 54:17. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places in Ephesians 6:12, and that is why we must put on the whole armor of God in Ephesians 6:11 and stand firm in truth and righteousness.

We encourage you not to repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but to leave vengeance to the Lord. Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good in Romans 12:21, for vengeance belongs to me says the Lord, I will repay in Romans 12:19, and commit your way to Yahweh, trust also in Him and He will do this, He will make your righteousness shine out like light and your justice as the noon day sun in Psalm 37:5-6. There is wisdom in not answering every lie and in guarding your heart. Do not answer a fool according to his folly in Proverbs 26:4, and when you have spoken the truth calmly and they refuse to listen, it is right to shake the dust from your feet and entrust the matter to God as in Matthew 10:14, limiting their access to you, documenting what is said, seeking wise counsel from your pastor and church, and stepping back from social media where the slander spreads so that your peace is guarded.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and have access to You in Acts 4:12 and John 14:6. We thank You for our sister and for her marriage covenant and we ask You to cover her and her husband with Your protection and peace that surpasses all understanding in Philippians 4:7. Lord grant her wisdom liberally as You have promised, if any of you lacks wisdom let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him in James 1:5, that she may know when to speak and when to be silent, how to answer with grace and truth, and how to walk in love while not casting pearls before those who will trample them. Vindicate her before those who have believed lies, silence the lying lips, and convict these false prophets of their sin that they may repent and be saved, for You desire that none should perish. Heal her heart from the hurt of betrayal and slander, guard her mind from fear and anger, and help her to bless those who persecute her and pray for those who mistreat her in Matthew 5:44. Let her life continue to bear witness to Your truth and let this trial refine her faith and draw her closer to Jesus. We rebuke every demonic lie and assignment against her and her household and we declare that You are her refuge and defender. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, in the Word, and in fellowship with faithful believers who know you and can testify to the truth. Keep walking in love and purity before the Lord, and trust Him to be your defender in His perfect time.

We were sorry to read how heavy this has been, being accused publicly of something you know is not true and having correction ignored. It is exhausting to watch lies spread where you cannot control them, and it makes sense you would feel hurt and on edge.

When people refuse to stop after being corrected, wisdom often means changing how much access they have to you rather than trying harder to convince them. Continuing to argue in their comment threads usually just gives the false claims more visibility.

One steady next step that helps many in this position is to quietly document what is being said with dates and screenshots, limit direct engagement, and use the platform tools to block, mute and report harassment. It can also help to let one or two trusted people, perhaps your husband and a pastor or mature friend, know what is happening so you are not carrying it alone and have clear counsel if you need to decide about further steps.

We are praying for you and will keep praying.

Father, we lift this sister and her husband to You. Grant her clear wisdom for each decision, guard her peace and her home, and protect her name from harm. Give her rest from this constant strain and lead those spreading falsehoods to stop. In Jesus name, amen.

It is a sore trial to be belied before many witnesses, and to have the tongue of the slanderer do its cruel work upon your name even when you have spoken the truth to correct it. The Lord knows how sharp is this rod, and many of His people have felt it before you, and you need not think that some strange thing has happened to you though you smart under it.

You ask for wisdom to deal with those who falsely accuse you and who will not cease from lying. Wisdom is man's true path, and to handle a matter wisely is to find good, and the true way to handle a matter wisely is to trust God. Christ Himself is the power of God and the wisdom of God, and if you would find wisdom you must find it in Him and in the word of revelation. Ask the Lord to teach you by His Holy Spirit and you will not be taught wrongly. Commit yourself to His instruction and be willing to do what He teaches you, and you will not go amiss. Be inquisitive up to the point in which your Lord is communicative, and there say, if my Master has anything to say to me, in His wisdom He knows what I can bear.

Remember also that it is God that justifies. When men go to the very verge of propriety in what they say, and use false words, and utter lying expressions, they sin against Him who will judge. Your comfort is not in the opinion of the crowd upon social media, but in the verdict of heaven. If you stand before Him justified through faith in Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, then no false prophet can pluck that justification from you. Let Paul's triumphant declaration be yours, and leave your vindication with Him.

As to your marriage, hold fast that which is good and true. Marriage as God ordained it is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and it is honorable in all, and all that belongs to the marriage bed belongs within it. If you are walking faithfully within that holy covenant, continue to do so with a clear conscience before God, and let your life give the lie to the lie. If there be in any part of your walk that which is not according to His word, then make haste to repent and to be found in the path of obedience, for there is no true peace to be had at peace with sin.

Do not render railing for railing. Where Jesus has made no rule, we are not to make any, but where He has spoken we must stand firm. Speak the truth calmly once and again as you have done, commit your reputation to Him who judges righteously, seek wise and godly counsel in the church, and keep your own tongue from falsehood and from heat. It is better to be slandered and to be with Christ than to win a quarrel by sinful means.

Let us pray for you. O Lord Jesus, Thou who art wisdom itself, look upon this tried soul beset by false tongues. Give a double portion of wisdom, that every step may be ordered in prudence, in meekness, and in truth. Teach by Thy Holy Spirit what to answer and when to be silent, and keep the heart from hatred toward those who do evil. Vindicate the truth in Thine own time, guard this home in holiness according to Thine ordinance, and let this affliction drive the heart nearer to Thyself, where alone is justification and peace. Keep this one trusting in Thee, handling this matter wisely by trusting Thee, and bring good out of this evil for Thy glory. Amen.

We have heard your painful request and we are bringing it before the Lord with you. To be slandered publicly and to have your marriage and character misrepresented is a heavy burden, and it is right to seek wisdom from Christ in how to answer it.

Scripture warns that false accusation is a serious sin and that every matter is to be established by faithful witnesses. God sees what is done in secret and what is said on social media, and He will not leave lies unjudged. At the same time He calls His people not to return evil for evil, but to commit their cause to Him who judges righteously, to speak the truth calmly, and to let their life bear witness.

We pray for you now that Jesus Christ will give you clear wisdom and peace. We ask Him to guard your heart from bitterness and anxiety, to establish the truth concerning your marriage and your conduct where you have been falsely accused, and to make what is true plain to those who need to see it. We ask Him to protect you and your husband from further harm, to restrain those who persist in spreading lies, and to bring them to repentance. We pray that He will help you to respond in a way that honors Him, with gentleness and self control, using faithful witnesses and proper order where necessary, and not being drawn into endless public quarrels.

We also pray that God will uphold His own good design for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that in your own life and home you will walk in a way that is above reproach and that pleases Him, so that no just accusation can stand. Where you have been wronged, may the Lord be your defender and your comfort, and may He turn even this trial to your growth and to the furtherance of the gospel.
