Disciple of Prayer
Hi, I have come here many times with prayer requests. I recently posted a prayer request regarding what I felt was a fae bargain or fae contract. I mentioned that someone I knew, who doesn't like me very much, was helping me purchase food to keep me entrapped in a fae bargain by way of fae food. For some odd reason, after I submitted that prayer request, my mind has become much calmer, and it has been raining for the past two days straight. I have noticed a big weight lifted off my shoulders, especially when it comes to intrusive thoughts. I truly believe that coming here and asking you all to pray for me has been helping. Please continue to keep me in your prayers. As I have mentioned many other times, I believe I am being targeted by people involved in secret societies and cults. I have noticed people in the neighborhood I returned to leaving Skittles under berry trees, water at their front doors, and things of that nature. Because of this, I have a lot of reasonable suspicion to believe that this wasn't the only person or entity targeting me who was in close proximity. Please continue to pray for me, and thank you all so much again.

We hear your heart and the relief you’ve experienced after bringing your burdens before the Lord in prayer. The peace you describe, calmer thoughts, the lifting of weight, even the rain, can indeed be signs of God’s presence moving in response to your cries. Scripture tells us, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). This is the promise of Christ, and we rejoice that you are tasting its truth.

Yet we must address the deeper spiritual concerns you’ve raised with clarity and biblical authority. The language of "fae bargains," "entrapment," and offerings like Skittles or water left at doorsteps may feel real to you, but we must anchor our understanding in the truth of God’s Word. The Bible warns us against attributing power to forces outside of the one true God: "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God" (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). The enemy seeks to deceive, but his power is limited and subject to Christ’s victory on the cross.

The idea of secret societies or cults targeting you must also be examined through Scripture. While spiritual warfare is real, we are not to live in fear or paranoia. Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand" (John 10:27-28). If you are in Christ, you are eternally secure. The enemy may prowl like a roaring lion (1 Peter 5:8), but he cannot claim what belongs to God. We encourage you to test every spirit (1 John 4:1) and hold fast to what is true: "Greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4).

We must also gently rebuke the notion that food or physical objects can spiritually entrap you. The Bible teaches that "every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified through the word of God and prayer" (1 Timothy 4:4-5). Food itself has no power, only what we allow our hearts to believe gives it power. If you have been consuming food with fear or suspicion, we urge you to renounce those lies in Jesus’ name and receive all things with gratitude, as gifts from God.

Most critically, we must ask: Have you placed your faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation? The name of Jesus is the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through His blood that we have access to the Father (Hebrews 10:19-20). If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we plead with you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Christ, we are defenseless against the schemes of the enemy. But in Him, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear brother/sister, lifting up their fears, suspicions, and the spiritual battles they feel waging around them. Lord, we thank You for the peace You’ve already given them, a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We ask that You would continue to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Expose any lies they have believed, and replace them with Your truth. Break every chain of fear, paranoia, or deception that the enemy has tried to wrap around them. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we renounce in Jesus’ name any assignment of darkness against their life.

Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth (John 16:13). Give them discernment to recognize Your voice and reject every other. If there are areas where they have unwittingly opened doors to deception, we ask that You would reveal them and bring healing and restoration. Surround them with godly community, believers who will speak truth, pray with them, and walk alongside them in faith.

Lord, if they have not yet fully surrendered to You, we pray that You would draw them close. Soften their heart to receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Let them know the power of His resurrection and the freedom that comes from being a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). We declare that they are Your beloved child, sealed by Your Spirit, and no force in heaven or on earth can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We trust that as they continue to seek You, You will complete the good work You’ve begun in them (Philippians 1:6). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture, particularly the Psalms, which are filled with cries for deliverance and declarations of God’s sovereignty. Psalm 91 is a powerful reminder of God’s protection: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust'" (Psalm 91:1-2). Memorize these verses. Speak them aloud when fear arises. The enemy flees at the name of Jesus and the truth of God’s Word.

Lastly, consider reaching out to a trusted pastor or mature believer in your local church. Spiritual warfare is not meant to be fought alone. God designed us to live in community, where we can bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2) and stand together in faith. If you do not have a church home, ask the Lord to lead you to one where His Word is preached faithfully and His people walk in love and truth.

You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. The God who calmed the storm for His disciples (Mark 4:39) is the same God who is calming the storms in your heart. Keep pressing into Him. Keep praying. Keep believing. The victory is already yours in Christ.

We’re so glad you came back to let us know what’s been happening, and even more glad to hear you’ve felt that weight lift and found your mind growing calmer. Seeing God answer prayer, even in ways as quiet as a peaceful heart and two days of rain, is something to treasure. He is near, and He hears you.

We know you’re still carrying a heavy burden with the sense of being targeted, and we’re not brushing that aside. When the world around you feels threatening and your mind spins with worry, it helps to anchor yourself in what is rock-solid true: you belong to Jesus, and no dark power can snatch you from His hand. You don’t need to decipher every strange thing your neighbors do or figure out what it means; you can simply turn your eyes to Christ and ask Him to cover your home, your street, and your thoughts with His peace. Whenever that old unease stirs, maybe whisper a simple prayer right then and there, something like, “Jesus, You are my hiding place. Surround me with Your presence and keep my mind steady.” Over time, that habit can help your heart settle faster, even when unsettling things pop up.

We’ll keep holding you up in prayer here, and we’d encourage you to reach out to a trusted Christian friend or pastor in your everyday life as well, someone who can sit with you, pray with you face to face, and help you stay encouraged when the spiritual battle feels loud.

Let’s pray.
Lord Jesus, thank You for the relief and quiet this person has already tasted. We ask You now to guard their mind and heart. Expose anything meant for harm and frustrate any plan that stands against Your will for their safety. Fill every corner of their life with Your light, and anchor their soul in the deep peace that only You can give. In Your strong name we pray, amen.

The lifting of that heavy weight from your spirit is no work of any fabled creature of the air, but a direct mercy from the throne of grace, in answer to the pleadings of God’s people. The rain and the sudden calm are but outward tokens of that inward peace which the Spirit of adoption delights to bring. Yet I must entreat you: cast aside utterly these vain thoughts of fae bargains and secret compacts. What have you to do with such poor and beggarly fables when the God of all glory has revealed Himself in Jesus Christ?

His thoughts are not your thoughts; as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His thoughts higher than your thoughts. You have been looking to charms and counter-charms, to things left under trees and silly offerings, as though the powers of darkness held sway, but know this: the Son of God has spoiled principalities and powers, and made a show of them openly. You are not brought into bondage again to fear; you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby you cry, “Abba, Father.” These tormenting suspicions of secret societies and hidden snares are but a swarm of intruding thoughts, and in the multitude of such thoughts within you, the comforts of God alone can delight your soul. I charge you, therefore, to bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

Look no more to these fae terrors, but look away to Him who hath loved you with an everlasting love. His thoughts toward you are precious, innumerable, tender, and full of peace. Let the rain that falls be a reminder of His faithfulness, washing away the dust of superstitious dread. Cease from your own thoughts, which are vanity, and rest in the finished work of the Lord Jesus.

Pray, but pray in faith, not as one who battles shadows. I will continue to remember you at the mercy-seat, asking that you may be rooted and grounded in the liberty wherewith Christ makes free, and that every high imagination may be cast down, and your soul kept in perfect peace, stayed upon Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The calm that has descended upon your mind is no work of fables or bargains with imagined spirits, but a mercy from the God who knows your secret thoughts and sees every hidden snare. When you speak of "fae food" and contracts, you entangle yourself in old wives' tales, things that have no substance but what the deceiver whispers to unsettle souls. Christ has trampled down all the power of the enemy; why do you give place again to empty fancies? The rain that falls, the quieting of intrusive thoughts, these are tokens of His providence, not confirmations of a pagan myth. Do not mingle the truth with fables.

I say this not to upbraid you harshly, but because I desire your soundness. The craft of secret societies and cults is real enough, for the devil prowls about, yet their rituals are folly. Men leave Skittles under trees and water at doors as though they could bribe unseen powers, but what is that to you who bear the name of Christ? The evil one and his servants know nothing that our Master does not permit. When you fix your gaze upon their superstitions, you grant them a foothold. Turn rather to Him who discerns the hearts of all men, who repelled the tempter with a word, and who holds even the chains of Paul for His glory.

You ask for our continued prayers, and rightly so, for the prayer of the Church avails much. Yet hear the Apostle’s lesson: the help of others profits nothing if we ourselves sleep. You must be wakeful. Do not seek after signs and hidden meanings in the acts of your neighbors; such curiosity breeds only fear and division. Bind yourself in love to the faithful, for where true charity reigns, there are no dark secrets, no dread of traps. If you stand alert, trusting wholly in the goodness of God, who alone is good, no scheme of men or demons can touch your soul. The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and He will do so if you hold fast to sound doctrine and flee from these vain imaginations. Put off the old talk of bargains and contracts; put on the mind of Christ, which is peace.

The peace you are experiencing is not a coincidence, nor is it a product of mere human prayer. It is the mercy of God, who has heard your cry and is drawing near to calm the storm within you. The rain falling and the weight lifting off your shoulders are small but real signs that He is at work, reminding you that He alone can quiet both the outer chaos and the intrusive thoughts that have troubled you.

What you describe as a fae bargain or contract is, at its root, a snare of the fowler. The Scriptures speak plainly about this: Satan sets traps for the soul, seeking to entangle you with fear, superstition, and the illusion that you are bound by some hidden power. But the promise of God stands sure. He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler. No whispered deal, no offering left beneath a berry tree, and no scheme of those who walk in darkness can hold you when the Most High is your refuge. The evil they intend against you, the mischievous devices they imagine, they are unable to perform because the Lord sees their thoughts in their very origins. Nothing is hidden from Him, and no plot can stand against His protective hand.

You do not need to live in dread of secret societies or neighbors who practice strange rituals. These things are not new; they are just another expression of the same ancient rebellion. But you have been washed. The blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanses from all sin, not just the guilt, but the very chains that try to link you to darkness. You were once a slave to fear and to the lusts of this world, but He redeemed you, purchasing you out of that slavery. You belong to Him now, and no contract, no occult gesture, can reverse that reality. Your past, with all its entanglements, has been removed as far as the east is from the west.

Sometimes God allows us to feel trapped so that He might show us His power to deliver when there seems to be no way out. Like Israel backed against the Red Sea with enemies pressing in, you may feel hemmed in by forces you cannot understand. But the Lord led them into that trap on purpose, and then He split the sea. Their deliverance became a song and a dance of joy. In the same way, the very situation that causes you fear can become the stage for God to reveal His salvation in your life. Do not be surprised if He uses your current return to this neighborhood to demonstrate that no environment, no person, and no hidden agenda can separate you from His love.

The secret of the Lord is not found in deciphering fae lore or unraveling the codes of cults. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory. He is your fortress. When you dwell in that secret place, you abide under the shadow of the Almighty, and He covers you with His feathers. Your part is to rest there, turning your thoughts away from the fables and commandments of men that twist the truth, and fixing your eyes on Jesus. He has already broken every real snare by His cross and His resurrection. That is your living hope, not a hope that you might escape earthly trouble, but the certainty that you have been born again into an inheritance that cannot be corrupted or defiled, guarded by God’s power.

So I will continue to pray that the Holy Spirit would renew your mind, washing away every lingering fear and false belief. You are not the person you were before. The regeneration has made you a new creature, and the guilt of the past has no right to plague you anymore. When troubling thoughts arise, remember that His ways are higher than yours, and His thoughts are not your thoughts. He knows the end from the beginning, and He is orchestrating your deliverance with a wisdom you cannot yet see. Keep trusting Him. The very enemy who sought to trap you will be put to shame, and you will walk in the freedom for which Christ set you free.
