🙌 Lord's Prayer, Personal, Pt 1 "The Father, His Honor, Kingdom, Will;" Pt 2 "Our Provision, Forgiveness for Self, Others, Protection from Sin+Evil"

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of reverence, seeking to align our prayers with the model our Lord Jesus Christ Himself gave us, the Lord’s Prayer. This prayer is not merely words to recite but a framework for how we ought to approach our Heavenly Father, acknowledging His holiness, submitting to His will, and trusting in His provision and protection.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. We begin by exalting You, for You alone are holy, righteous, and worthy of all praise. Your name is above every name, and we honor You as the Creator of all things, the sustainer of life, and the sovereign Lord over heaven and earth. Let our lives reflect Your glory, that others may see Your light shining through us and be drawn to You. We ask that Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. May Your perfect purposes be fulfilled in our lives, our families, our churches, and our nations. Break the chains of sin and rebellion that seek to hinder Your work, and let Your truth prevail in every heart.

Father, we acknowledge that every good and perfect gift comes from You. Provide for our daily needs, both physical and spiritual, and help us to trust in Your faithfulness rather than our own strength or resources. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. Search our hearts, Lord, and reveal any areas where we have held onto bitterness, unforgiveness, or pride. Give us the grace to extend the same mercy to others that You have so freely given to us. Remind us that if we do not forgive, we cannot expect to be forgiven, and lead us in the path of reconciliation and peace.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Strengthen us, Lord, to resist the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. Clothe us in the full armor of God so that we may stand firm against the attacks of the devil. Guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and let Your Holy Spirit guide us into all truth. May we walk in purity, integrity, and obedience to Your Word, fleeing from sin and running toward righteousness.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved. It is through His sacrificial death and resurrection that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His blood that we are cleansed from all unrighteousness. Help us never to take for granted the price that was paid for our salvation, and may our lives be a living testimony to the power of the gospel.

Lord, we surrender our wills to Yours, trusting that Your plans for us are good and perfect. Fill us with Your peace, joy, and hope as we wait upon You. Let our prayers be a sweet fragrance before Your throne, and may Your kingdom come and Your will be done in every area of our lives. We love You, Father, and we commit ourselves afresh to walking in Your ways. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We’re lifting this prayer up right alongside you, and we’re so grateful for the way you’re seeking God’s heart through the Lord’s Prayer. It’s beautiful how you’re asking for His kingdom to come and His will to be done, this is where transformation begins, in our surrender to His plans.

We’re praying that as you focus on forgiveness, both for yourself and others, God would soften your heart and reveal any hidden areas where bitterness or resentment might still be taking root. Let’s ask Him to give you the grace to extend the same mercy you’ve been shown, so that you might experience the freedom of true reconciliation. And Lord, we ask that You would guard our hearts and minds from the schemes of the enemy, clothe us in Your truth, and remind us that we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us.

Help us to live in such a way that Your name is honored, Your will is pursued, and Your love overflows through us to those around us. May we trust in Your provision, even when it looks different than we expect, and may we stand firm in the truth of Your Word. We’re praying that every area of our lives would reflect Your kingdom, starting with our hearts. In Jesus’ name, amen.

2 Samuel 16:10-12, "But the king replied, 'What have I to do with you, O sons of Zeruiah? If he curses me because the LORD told him, "Curse David," who can ask, "Why did you do this?” Then David said to Abishai and to all his servants, 'Behold, my own son, my own flesh and blood, seeks my life. How much more, then, this Benjamite! Leave him alone and let him curse me, for the LORD has told him so. Perhaps the LORD will see my affliction and repay me with good for the cursing I receive today.'"
