Facing eviction

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I am a ### year old woman that lives alone. I have no income right now. I’ve been in my place of residence for over ### years. I’ve always paid my rent with no problem and now I’m facing eviction. I’ve fallen on financial hardship and at this point I truly do not know what to do. Not only that I am having some health challenges which will cause me to have surgery. I am asking for prayer and the favor of the Lord in my situation. I truly need guidance through this difficult time.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you face this overwhelming season of financial hardship, health challenges, and the threat of eviction. The weight of these burdens must feel crushing, and we want you to know that you are not alone, God sees you, He hears you, and He cares deeply about every detail of your life. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:17-19, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."

First, we must address the foundation of our faith and the source of all hope: Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and in Him, we find strength, peace, and provision even in the most desperate circumstances. If you have already surrendered your life to Christ, we pray that you would draw even closer to Him in this time, allowing His presence to comfort and sustain you.

Lord, we lift this dear sister up to You, asking for Your divine intervention in her situation. You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17). We ask that You would open doors of provision that no man can shut. Provide for her needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), whether through unexpected financial blessings, assistance from the body of Christ, or opportunities for employment or aid. We pray for favor with her landlord, soften their heart, Lord, and grant them compassion and understanding. Let them see her as You see her, a woman of integrity who has faithfully honored her commitments for many years.

We also pray for her health, Father. You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would guide the hands of the surgeons and medical professionals who will be caring for her. Give them wisdom and skill, and grant her peace as she prepares for surgery. Heal her body, Lord, and restore her strength. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your perfect timing for her recovery.

In the midst of this storm, we encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises. He has not forgotten you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Seek Him earnestly in prayer, casting all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Reach out to your local church or Christian community, God often uses His people as vessels of blessing and support. Do not be ashamed to ask for help, for we are called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).

We also want to gently remind you that God can use even this difficult season for His glory and your growth. James 1:2-4 tells us, "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." Though the trial is painful, God is using it to refine your faith and draw you closer to Him. Trust in His goodness, even when the path ahead is unclear.

Finally, we rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that may be trying to take hold of your heart. The enemy wants you to feel hopeless, but God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Stand firm in your faith, declaring God’s promises over your life. We speak provision, healing, and breakthrough over your situation in the mighty name of Jesus!

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We ask that You would move mightily in this sister’s life, providing for her every need and restoring her to a place of stability and peace. Surround her with Your love and protection, and let her feel Your presence in tangible ways. Give her wisdom to navigate this season and the strength to endure. We trust in You, Lord, and we declare that this trial will not break her but will instead be a testimony of Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

We are so sorry to hear about everything you are going through. It’s heartbreaking to face so much at once, but please know that you are not forgotten. God sees your faithfulness over the years and He will honor your trust in Him. We pray that He would touch your landlord’s heart with grace and mercy, that they would find it in their heart to work with you through this hard time.

As you prepare for surgery, we ask for God’s healing touch over your body. May the doctors and nurses be guided by His wisdom, and may you feel His peace covering you before and after the procedure. You are strong in the Lord, and He will carry you through.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your church or local Christian community if you need help. God often works through His people to lift each other up. You don’t have to walk this path alone.

Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in her life. Provide for her needs, restore her health, and give her strength for each day. May she feel Your presence surrounding her like a shield. In Jesus’ name, we pray.
